What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
My roleplay experience covers the course of many years, from way back in childhood to adulthood. I joined SRP about a few months ago, while most of my roleplay history remains in apps that are known, and some that have gone, such as Amino, Instagram and more. During these many years of experience, I have written my characters in a bunch of roles, situations and more. But coming to SRP led me to see roleplay in a new light, with more world building, more diversity and more creativity as there are so many things to do.
For the first bit of being on SRP, I did not know what to do, so I focused on building stories with others, relationships and many situations, grasping the things in front of me, but as I got used to SRP, knowing what's involved, I sort of.. Developed a new question.. What now? Which made me get even more involved in the community, I am currently working at Pinkumo as one of my characters, which has lead me into being trained on how to handle service, and mannerisms between an employee and customer, and also how to work in a team of numerous people, attending security I also have learned the responsibility of remaining vigilant and being aware of anything and everything going on, communicating with the shopkeeper and cashiers, or other security if needed. I find the communication this role needs can also extend to more, like EMS. I also have one character who has explored the crime area of karakura, attending jail, dealing with officers and more, but I found myself at a loss. I wanted to explore more, so I joined families. I have one character as a new founding family, Bianchis, and the other joining an older rooted one, the Jokulls.
Due to all this experience, I have gotten more confident in my ability to roleplay, expand more on my characters and take up new adventures with little hesitation, because really, what's stopping me? Learning never stops, and since I found out about factions, such as KPD, EMS, School Faction and more, it sparked a new sense of inspiration, something to chase. EMS has been a faction I have looked at for a long time, and this gives me an opportunity to put in my best work, my utmost appreciation for the people who are attending in this faction, and those who created it.
I adore creating new friendships, exploring new situations and scenarios. Even circumstances that lead me to take the leap of faith, going from one-lined conversations to an amount of paragraphs, making me expand on my DetailRP as well, all of this has led me to the person I am now, and that is a person who never stops looking for new adventures, and someone who never wants to stop learning.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying is a cross between oocly factors and icly. Starting out with oocly motivation is that I am currently studying psychology, and am looking to proceed with this subject as a career; I always loved helping people, in various ways. And offering unyielding support, and this extends to people I've met on SRP, I feel like with my field of study this opportunity gives me a chance to use my knowledge and deepen my pride within it. And as for icly, I have been active in this server since beginning of june, often wondering what could I do to expand my interactions, what could I do in order to get me more involved in such a wonderful community; I have had friends in KPD such as Sharkvirite known as Kael Vireaux, they have inspired me to take a step into factions, to explore what they are made of, pushing me out of my comfort zone. Figuring I'd take my chances with EMS and not let the fear of not being good enough or rejection stop me or hold me back for an amazing opportunity.

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT | the emergency department is the area for paramedics, after passing the required examinations once applied you then reach out to the director or chief paramedic, once having expressed interest in said department no matter the chosen path, when you request your consideration in terms of acceptance, you have to understand this is a department where breaks are inconclusive, you must be ready for the fast paced environment and paramedics must be ready to respond to calls and provide emergency care at all times no matter what it may be. |

Character’s Full Name:
Upon entering, the man gave a smile with a professional handshake to the director to acknowledge and offer a warm gesture, followed along with a bow to respect the customs that were known and respected in Japan. Before sitting in the chair kindly provided by the director. When asked the first question, he knew it was official, he straightened his posture before answering in a level toned voice, perhaps an accept slipped of his native tongue “Its a pleasure to meet you, Director, my name is Yìchén Huang though in this moment, I will ask to be known as Mr. Huang” he gave another smile, of pure respect as he remained fully focused on the interview.

Character’s Age (if accepted):
With the often dreadful question to an adult, he only took it this time in a sense of pride, honor. And to feel how much time has passed to earn him a seat at this hospital in an interview with the director “I am currently twenty-nine years old, and turning 30 next year” he answered with a small laugh and smile, really feeling his age and how the time really flew by from him being a student, to a full fledged adult applying for his career.

“I speak Chinese, Mandarin specifically, as that is my native language. I also learned Japanese to help me move and adjust here, and expanding till fluency, I also speak Russian, which was a surprise to some, but I had an old friend teach me way back when,” he gave a warm smile at the fleeting memory.
Character Backstory
Yìchén Huang's childhood was defined by quiet observation. Born in Guangzhou, he grew up in a household where conversations were not about silly stories but about the mind and its hidden corridors. His mother was a psychiatrist who was known in the community for her patient and measured voice, her ability to untangle knots forming in people's lives. Often returning home with case studies, as Yìchén watched her closely, learning how silence could be as important as words due to his mother carrying the pain of many others. His older sister, meanwhile, chose a different path - one rooted in tradition. She studied herbal medicine, apprenticing under a pharmacist, and the family dinners became curious exchanges. Their mother spoke of trauma and cognition, while their sister spoke in roots, leaves, teas, and tinctures. For Yìchén, young as he was, he understood that while both worlds were vastly different, they were both vital, carrying a fascination for how mind and body might intertwine. The curiosity sparked that evening might have remained just that, an idle fascination and underlying passion, if not for the bus accident. At sixteen, Yìchén sat on the bus, near the window, when it swerved too sharply, it was sudden, and his left ear was ringing. Yìchén found himself among classmates and strangers; he remembered something more searing than pain, helplessness; he remembered trying to comfort a boy who kept repeating the same broken sentence, his mind refusing to catch up. It was in those long months of recovery that something settled inside of him, he no longer saw psychiatry as his mother's world alone, it became something he felt drawn towards, a way to make sense of the chaos he endured, he studied relentlessly, driven not by ambition just yet but by a deep desire to be a steady voice in the storm for others, the way his mother had been for him. Years later, psychiatry became his ambition, his goal. And career, Yìchén carried his mother's teachings, his own, and his sisters '; he often thought back to that bus ride, not with bitterness, but with the understanding that his path had been carved there, when he realized that healing the mind could mean saving a life.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
Yìchén Huang's medical specialty lies in psychiatry, after growing up with a mother who worked in this field, and a sister who accompanied her in herbal medicine, however his main focus is within psychiatric care, those who study psychiatry take years of medical school, followed by psychology to enable them having skills of both, applying two fields into one, however his main focus is to oversee patients who are struggling mentally, whether it be with PTSD, Anxiety, Schizophrenia or more. With the aid of medical knowledge, he can further help the patient beyond what meets the eye in ways of finding medication that may ease their stress and angst, working with them to find a solution. To bring peace in a situation that may bring chaos.
After his own tragic accident that took partial sight, and left him with a weak knee when he was younger, he bore the emotional impact of it all, which formed into Anxiety, and PTSD. not overlooking his struggles, he asked his mother for help, who put him in with a psychiatrist, to work through the issues at hand when he was younger, so he may not struggle when older. Over time, this has led him to believe in mental health support, and the fact that everyone deserves it, he fell in love with the job, fell in love with what his doctor did, and his mother. He always was the type of person to help, listen, and do what he could without professional training, so once he finished his education as a high school student, he delve into the world of medicine, and psychiatry, infatuated with the idea of helping people who struggle, some who struggled the same as him and not wanting to see anyone else hurt in that way if he could help it. He simply wanted to help on any level an empath could. And he had found genuine interest and care for the subject, finding remedies for himself, as much as others, and so much more.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
During his residency at Shanghai mental health center, Huang had aided many people in various ways; with various struggles, providing him with some skills that were required in psychiatry, he learned how to evaluate individuals, diagnose, and regulate patients care, charts, prescriptions etc. but once he took foot into residency as a psychiatrist, he had learned only more, various ways to give therapy such as CPT which aims to challenge cognitive distortions and developing better coping strategies, and solution focused therapy, as he went onto his residency, he continued to learn, applying his preexisting to new found knowledge. Attending lectures when needed, partaking in projects with other residents akin to his field and not, and helping those with patients who needed a little more of a watchful eye, once he showed enough education and practice, he proceeded to pass his residency at Shanghai mental health center, and graduate under the University of Hong Kong as a psychiatrist.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

With a gentle step, and soft eyes, the man stood before you at an incredible height of 7’ which deemed him as the gentle giant, his hair was long and platinum blonde, with crystal blue eyes, one more grey than the other due to his loss of sight in that eye, his skin was porcelain, slightly Sunkissed, he walked with a cane to bare the weight of a bad knee, often found wearing a kimono outside of scrubs. Or a casual laid back outfit once off work, tattoos weren't that professional on the job, were they? Even with his tall height, he drew people closer to his warmth, offering a voice of solution and answers to questions that brought dread, or even a comforting presence when in silence. He remained kind, respectful. Often quiet, but nonetheless he was a sweet man, and would remain that way; he knew his blind eye and cane drew in questions, in which he didn't mind and only answered in truth. Maybe, just maybe, this would help him in his career, to help people understand everyone has a story, and it's okay to not be okay. After all, the people in this line of work come from something.
How does your character act around the hospital?
While attending his usual shift, Yìchén would often be found with a book, making notes or reviewing studies, even medical files on some patients. Making sure he stayed on top of everything, but when outside his office, he would not turn down a conversation with a co-worker, to pass the time, as he sat at the desk, but if a patient comes into the hospital, he wastes no time in finding out what they need. If it's a doctor, he would hastily radio for one, while making sure they sat down in a comfortable seat, giving them anything that they may need. If they needed an ear, he would call them up to his office to talk, assuring them on the way that everything would remain confidential and they could talk however much or little as they wanted or needed. He made sure everyone was taken care of. He remained vigilant on shift, ready for anything.. Anyone who walked through those doors, regardless of who they were, he kept kind, respectful, and open.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Due to his medical studies and time as a student, Yìchén had grown to work in both settings quite well, though often alone rather than with a team due to his practice of study. But he knew he had to know how to make everything flow smoothly and make sure everyone was taken care of, and maintain a respectful and working relationship with coworkers. He often worked with people to compromise and figure out solutions; the teamwork aspect is not foreign, but he isn't dependent. Whenever he has to work with someone else, he does it with no judgment or issues.
