Backstory:

Ao was born in France on November 1st, 2001. His mother and father never married and he grew up with a single parent. So it was just him and his mom. When he turned three years old, his mother met someone new and conceived two younger boys. Unlike him, these boys had a father to look up to. To his knowledge, he never had one. The only father figure in his life was never around. His mother was kind, warm-hearted, and very nonchalant just like him. As for the siblings his mother bared, they were mischievous, frail, and clumsy. He, being the first born, took care of his little brothers and taught everything he could. He never harbored any negative feelings about his new family or blamed them for having something he didn't. This family was small but it was enough for him. A few years later, their father soon left to L.A just after slipping his ex enough money to get by without him. The young siblings of his couldn't calm down, giving his own mother a hard time. Aozo felt it was his job to step up and help out in anyway he can. Over the years, he cooked for them, made them laugh, protected them, and listened when they needed it. Ao was grateful to have a bond like that to the point where he disregarded all possible love interests. When his two younger brothers grew up to be 13 and 15, he was then 18 years old. His mother was working so hard she never had time to celebrate his birthday. But one day, she surprised him with a surprise party that she had schemed alongside his little brothers. She thought she needed to celebrate him finally becoming the handsome young man she always wanted him to be. Unfortunately, that didn't go to plan and it never happened. On their way to the location, his mom was behind the wheel and his brothers, behind his seat. They were snickering in the back and she was trying to hush them down so nothing would be spoiled. He heard some sirens nearby and raised his brow, "Do you guys hear that?" His brothers ignored him and his mom just shrugged it off, "Don't worry. I'm sure it's nothing." The street lights turned green and he saw a mob of strange looking men in a car at the intersection with guns flying out their window, police cars chasing close behind them. Ao's mother hit the gas pedal instinctively as the green lights and the moving cars ahead of her caught her attention too late. "STOP!!", he exclaimed and just as the chase was cutting it too close, he leaned all the way into her lap, took the wheel, and turned it away from the intersection. The turn wasn't fast enough so they were caught up in a terrible crash. Two or three days later, he woke up in the hospital, his body completely covered with injuries from the accident. The ER he was in, reeked of a bitter antiseptic fragrance. A doctor and his nurse walked in as soon as he gain consciousness, asking him what he remembers and checking up on his current situation. Ao remembers only that he was going to a party with his family. As he thought harder, he mentions his brothers in the backseat and his mother's secretive interactions. Then the street lights he quickly recovered from his memory led him to the remaining details of the car chase. He was told later on that his mother's chest was covered in bullets and her head filled with glass. His brothers' frail bodies were filled with broken bones and serious head injuries including skull fractures. He was the last and barely survived if it wasn't for his quick response to dive into his mothers lap after taking the wheel. Though it was anything but safe, some of his body was covered and protected. Yet still suffered from traumatic head injuries, sprains, internal bodily bleeding, and tissue damage. In one fall swoop, his life changed for the worse. All of his fears returned, as how it was when he learned why he never had a real father. Only this time, he was completely alone. His denial and laid-back nature helped him cope through this traumatic incident over the couple of years. Now he stands at the age of 20, in Karakura, Japan for a new life to make.
