Small intro:
I got accepted as a caretaker recently and I'm really enjoying the faction. However, during most of my shifts I find myself seeing one particular area we could improve on. When I go to clean the school bathrooms (the back of the school first floor ones specifically) I find the women's toilet being absolutely destroyed. The bathroom is in total shambles and looks amazing but I feel like stuff like this could be a small event for caretakers to take care of. Another instance of this is the trash can close to the front entrance, there are leaves on the floor there which could be an even smaller event for caretakers to take care of.
Explanation on execution:
I believe that caretakers should be notified by one of two ways. The first way would be via the caretaker channel in the Karakura Academics discord. The HD could notify it there in a small announcement providing a screenshot of the problem and mentioning the incident briefly. This would be the more realistic approach.
The second approach, would be to have faculty members report them via radio and have caretakers appear for them, however, this wouldn't go well with the other three future approaches I'll mention for rewards.
Extra reward/payment:
Okay so, onto the hardest part, how to reward this. I believe there are three solid approaches to this problem:
·Bonus for the quota: The first way to do this, in my opinion, would be to make these smaller events count for two quota logs instead of one. That'd way you'd feel more rewarded in doing so and it'd add a visual element to caretaker quota logs.
·The percentage approach: This one is more of an addition to the first one. For the bigger "small" events (such as the ladies bathroom in the back of the school), you could have caretakers log their progress on the bathroom like a regular maintenance issue quota log. Then, you could have 10 things for example that need fixing (just say "Requirements: 10 actions" under the details for the mini event) which would take one action each to fix. Then say only two people participate and they do 5 tasks each, they'd both get 50% of the tasks completion as a result. You could have them either count like two quota logs per each action completed, or just offer a smaller money bonus instead (5k per action for example). As a limit I'd say have a one action per shift or one action per irl day (one set timezone?). And you could also make it so people who already have 10/10 monthly quota logs can't participate or only reveive the 5k bonus or a smaller 2.5k bonus (if you were to go with that option).
·RP only: You could always just go with the rp only approach. It counts as a regular quota log and when the specific amount of needed actions is reached they just get the base number of actions (8 for example) added to their quota at the end of the event. This would still reward players with rp, seeing their work physically go into something and creating cool rp opportunities.
Extra notes:
To log these actions you could either just make it a regular maintenance incident log or add another one that's similar adding (event) and make people say which one in extra notes.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
I believe that this addition would make caretakers compete for something, eager to be active, which would result in even more caretaker activity than currently and would also lead to the creation of brand new and interesting rp chances, via a brand new system for this faction.
