Why do you want to own a shop?:
I would like to own my own restaurant because I have a great creative idea that I just can't do through a normal job. I want to create a shop where the tension is low and the happiness is high. People may get frustrated or upset, but I wouldn't push anyone too hard. We all have our downs, and I know that. I feel like this shop could be a place where people would really recollect. They could prepare themselves for an interview or test. The food would help everyone feel more alive, together, because there's so much hatred and anger in the world that I feel like one spot of peace and tranquility would really help bring out what we all want and need--harmony.
Owning a shop isn't just about the money. There are so many things you learn and experience from owning a shop. You can learn how to become a better person, manage more efficiently, and become more familiar with those around you. There will be people you never knew existed until you opened your shop coming in every day. Those people could become your best friends. Managing is another great skill in life. If you aren't very good at it, you'll improve in a workplace over time.
This shop could ignite something within people. Then can realize that merely going to restaurants for just food isn't worth it. If you go to a restaurant with the best food in the world but the staff are extremely grumpy and mean, then the food wouldn't taste as good. It's really the whole experience that counts, and if it only lasts for an hour, I want to make sure everyone enjoys that hour to the fullest!
What do you plan to do with the shop?:
Like I said before, I plan on making a relaxing atmosphere where everyone can just let their hair down and talk with their friends. It would be nice to call it "Love and Pizza", based on the phrase "Love and Peace". I want to take this one spot in the world and exterminate all the sadness inside. When people leave, I want them to have smiles on their faces. I want them to be ready to face the world. I want to hear them say, "I think I'm ready for that quiz!" or "I might finally ask her out!" The environment of this restaurant would make us believe in ourselves more than we ever would before, just because of some food and nice music. It would also be a great idea to add the ingredients and calories into the menu so people know what they're eating. Most fast food places leaves big gaps in their ingredients because they don't want people knowing that they're just full of garbage. My food wouldn't be like the others'. I know secret ingredients that the others don't for basic food.
Competition or "being the very best like no one ever was" isn't really my goal. In fact, I'd actually like to help other businesses do the same thing! It's almost funny how rival shops with outdo themselves to try and be better than the other, but in doing so they become so corporate that it's so hard to see their store behind that wall of greed! To make sure Love and Pizza doesn't become so infatuated by money and fame, I'd like to share this idea around Japan to try and make others see the better things in life and apply them to their business.
I already know that you're assuming "Love and Pizza" (from the title) that this is a place that'll sell lots of pizza. However, this is a fast food restaurant, and though I'm planning on selling pizza, I know there's already a pizzeria in town so I'll leave the pizza to the restaurants literally based around it.
How will your shop be unique?:
I do not particularly care about profit myself. All I want is for the world to be happy and proud of who they are. I want to see people walking down the street grinning. Some days people leave terrible restaurants and feel sulky. What was the point of visiting that place if it made you feel terrible? No. My restaurant would make people feel great about themselves. It may just be the thing that someone needed to help them out of a bad relationship. If they had something motivating them to keep going, it would help them a lot.
I would design the restaurant in a way that would make navigating between chairs and the door easy, so it isn't like a maze every time you try and come in. I also want to fill the shop with items that would make it seem less bland such as small potted plants and flowers. I really want to let the customers experience it themselves instead of us just telling them. We could even host shows some nights and allow people to get food and drinks while they watch. It would be a great time!
Some ideas for shows could include:
- Talent show! All customers are invited to the stage to show off what they've got, and the winner earns a special "100% off any food or drink" coupon, second place earns a "50% off any food or drink" coupon, and third place earns a "25% off any food or drink" coupon!
- Hired entertainment! Those people hired as comedians, singers, and dancers could perform their own act together and draw in many through our doors! With creativity pulsing through every crack in our establishment, it would be up to them how they'd like to do it. [Still debating on this part], but there could also be a deal where everyone gets their food 10% off!
- Magic Show! Someone from our workplace would put on a magic show to really spark up the shop! This would also allow people to feel like magic really does exist in this calm, fantastic world! Workers can also come to the show (the ones that aren't currently working) and get that thrilling experience!
- Fun Night! One of the comedic entertainers could put on a very funny comedy act one night to really loosen up people. They could really enjoy themselves while having a laugh, and it could really make someone's day. However, we don't want anyone cracking up with empty stomachs! Most of these events/shows would have a special deal, and this one could be 20% off all drink items!
Shows would also charge a 1,000 yen entry fee.
How many employees are you planning to have?:
For starters, maybe about 8-12 employees as waiters, minor entertainers, and janitors. If the shop becomes more popular, I may start hiring more entertainers and dancers just to bring the idea of the restaurant to life. I'm also planning, if we're able to, to have security. Specific entertainers for the shows could include:
- Comedians
- Magicians
- Singers
- Judge [for talent show; these people will probably have another job in the shop as well.]
- Dancers
- Musicians
Some other occupations could be:
- Manager
- Front security
- Backstage security
- Bartender (for shows, only reason I'm including it is because someone asked me about it and I thought it sounded like a good idea so good job to them!)
- Possibly a mascot (if we do add one, it would probably be a heart-shaped pizza).

Pay: 1/2 of money earned per show.
Description: Magicians must create the illusion of magic and perfect the art of crowd manipulation to appease the spectators. Using neat gags and tricks, it's up to them to put on a good performance!

Singer:
Pay: 1/4 - 3/4 of money earned per show, depending on how it goes.
Description: Singers will most likely be with someone in a show, but sometimes they'll be putting on a solo performance. Their music must either pull the audience's heartstrings or get them clapping to a cool beat.
Age Requirement: N/A
Judge:
Pay: 1/4 of money earned per show.
Description: The judges will be judging those who enter the talent show and are in charge of deciding who will take home the big prize! They must have very fair opinions that are based on how the person performs alone.
Age Requirement: 17+
Dancer:
Pay: 1/8 - 1/4 of money earned per show, depending on how it goes.
Description: This is an easier job, as the dancers are only required to dance once every show through the audience to really get people moving. They may also perform during hired performances.
Age Requirement: N/A
Musicians:
Pay: 1/4 - 1/2 of money earned per show, depending on how it goes.
Description: Be prepared to liven everyone up with a sweet beat as you accompany the dancers and singers in a full-on hired entertainment show. With the musicians killing it with their background music and the singers' vocals, there isn't a single person who wouldn't come to this show!

Description: Security must be on the lookout at all times. We want Love and Pizza to be a happy place, so anyone being incredibly rude, offensive, or doing something illegal will be confronted by security. They may also be called in after hours to investigate a theft or assault. If they catch whoever is causing mayhem, they are instructed to immediately call the police.
Age Requirement: 18+
Variants: Front security, backstage security.
Manager
Pay: Varies from performance and attitude.
Description: The manager(s) would be in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly. They will alert me if anything happens in the store that I'm not aware of that needed my attention and I will take action to fix it. They must also make sure the chests are organized and if we're out of stock of something, they will tell me.
Age Requirement: 18+, preferably in their 20s.
Bartender
Pay: 40-45% of what they earn.
Description: The bartender(s) would be in charge of drinks and food during shows (waiters are at the front administering people.) Since Love and Pizza doesn't sell alcohol, the "bartender(s)" are in charge of the food during the night.

Brief description of personality: She's very caring and would be described as a pacifict. People who don't like her would call her "childish", but she's more of a child-loving empathetic person. Some people might say that she's TOO empathetic and doesn't know where to stop people. She'll always give out second chances and try to give others the benefit of the doubt, even if they're guilty. Only recently has she been starting to draw that line with the help of her friends.
Why she wants to open Love and Pizza: She wants to spread empathy and peace throughout the world, starting with a restaurant. In founding a shop, she thinks she'll be able to grow more of a backbone and learn how to tell people "no", while also teaching them about why they should say "yes" sometimes and share her experience with the world.
I have a great idea, and I'm ready to change the world with it! Love and Pizza is looking for a place to start, and I think this is it!
