What shop are you applying for?:
I'm applying for the “Soleil Kumo” slot, or any other open Restaurant slots! However, I'd like to rename my restaurant to “Nightly Hansik”.

Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
Because I believe I’m a good fit for it. Not only do I like having some responsbiblity, but I can handle a lot of responsibility and independence well, I'd say.. But being a shopkeeper and having your own shop opens so many doors for opportunities: from casual roleplay situations to memorable moments, to being recognized and having your effort appreciated.
My main motivation is definetly because I also already looveee working in a restaurant a lot, so being able to be /the/ “boss” for people who enjoy it as much as I do sounds really exciting to me.. I’d love to give them a good environment to work in while also making sure customers are entertained and happy.

Overall, it’s not just a fun opportunity, but also a responsibility I’d genuinely enjoy taking on and doing well!

₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚

What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
First, to the name: Nightly Hansik!
The “Hansik” comes from the Korean word 한식, which refers not just to traditional Korean cuisine, but also to the cultural practices, traditions, and values connected to the making and sharing of Korean food. Meanwhile, “Nightly” is meant to evoke the elegant, fancy, late-night dinner vibe. But not only that! While it’s original and I’ve thought of it myself, it’s still simple, which defines Nightly Hansik in a way: special, nowhere else to be found, but still simple enough to not feel “too much.”
But let me explain: Nightly Hansik won’t (for now) have ONE BIG addition, like a karaoke booth or other one-only-specific activity that it’ll get known for, but rather a variety of small.. Enhancements, if you will, . .to the system of serving, entertaining, and spending time there. Let me get into detail, though!:

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
2. Guest arrival & Seating
Guests are greeted and asked whether they’d like a relaxed evening or a quick visit.

Relaxed: Seated in a chosen area, courses are served step-by-step
(appetizer --> main --> dessert)
to encourage a more relaxing, more immersive experience.

Quick: Guests receivde a full menu immediately and
can order freely, as all being seated closer to the exit/entrance.

The goal is to create an elegant, unhurried
atmosphere while still allowing flexibility!!
Since, I cant blame anyone who just want's to check it out
or get some cool food-items and then skeddadle...

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
2. Seating options
Different levels of comfort & privacy:

Simple chair and tables, Booths, A bar, Semi-private seating
(w/ curtains for example!), or fully private rooms.

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
3. Interruption Modes
ONLY guests staying longer can choose their preferred level of interaction:

Yes: Staff check in and interact freely
Low: Minimal check-ins, mostly service-focused
No: Only course delivery, no interruptions
These preferences are noted on a shared table map, basically like a
staff dashboard so staff can see their decision all throughout the Restaurant.

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
4. Guided Dining Experience
Each course may include a small card with:
A light reflection question
A short cultural story or proverb
A simple conversation prompt

This keeps the atmosphere engaging, helps avoid awkward silence,
and adds a unique cultural touch to match the Restaurant’s vibe.

I also made a documentn with examples of these and all the other parts of the "system" included, which will serve as a
sort of introduction to Nightly Hansik’s ways of working for the public! Silly, I know.

*Sadly, it wont let me add it..

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
5. Ending Ritual (Full Moon Nights)
On full moon nights, guests can receive (or buy) a specific item
(collab or custom!) tied to the evening.

With only a few of these nights each year, it creates a rare,
memorable experience connected to Nightly Hansik.

(Still thinking about the details for this one!)

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
Oh, and cool Partnership ideas! Basically:
We'd let partners advertise anything from openings to hiring ads in our discord, while we do the same on their server!

Plus, us and the partners could plan and host some cool events together for special occasions! #Collabs And not to forget, simply having someone reliable to back us up—and vice versa!

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
However, a cool, specific, throughout serving system isn’t all!
Performances
“Internet”
Cultural
Nightly Hansik will have people, especially groups, perform in the restaurant as a typical event. Why? Why not?! Not only are performances easy to match and adjust to Nightly Hansik’s concept, but they also would help make Nightly Hansik more well-known while giving more exposure to the performers as well!
Or for example, as a special event, a “flash performance”.
Social media (like Onrain), interviews, flyers, proper magazines, and whatever else will also be something Nightly Hansik could do as a typical side-..thing?. To put it simply, Nightly Hansik would aim to be strong social-media-focused, too, simply aiming to capture and share its vibe online. This will help build awareness, attract new customers faster, and create a community around the restaurant itself, too. By showing.. For example, special events, nightly Hansik can make people feel connected even before they visit! “Social Media” (As in, all of the mentioned thing at the start!) will also allow the business to get real-time feedback, and promote special menu items, whatsoever. So Smart! . . right?
As mentioned, Hansik doesn't only mean Korean food. Despite this being something that wouldn’t be done too regularly, to keep the high-end vibe of the restaurant going, an idea of a sort-of special event, maybe like a week-event (?), too, would be to host culture workshops. Whether it’d be Cultural storytelling with food, or finding clues throughout the Restaurant like a mystery-detective-interactive silly game, or beautiful photoshoot booths with traditional backgrounds, is something that… I’d still have to think of just a bit more. But yeah, to give a vibe!

⚬──────────✧──────────⚬
HIGH-END:
Not to forget the most obvious point,
Nightly Hansik's most unique trait would be it's athmosphere.
The entire high-end vibe, along with the detailed system, showcases a throughout
organized and neat expierence.

But what would te vibe even be? Fancy? Elegant?
Well, yes! But most importantly, high-end. Which, as of right now,
no other restaurant really is personally.

The whole goal of Nightly Hansik is to give people a place where they can not only enjoy food (IC), but also enjoy their time, be unhurried for once, and roleplay in peacce with others, keeping it realistic. It's meant to be a speace where you can slow down and actually enjoy the moment, no matter if you're on a romantic date icly, or about to propose!!!?!?!, or having a faction-night out.. or even a family argument..

And In-case youre like, "But detail, why in gods name a /korean/ restaurant on a japanese island???!" Honestly. Why not? Okay, not but.. its just the most realistic, as there are so many Korean citizen on Karakura Island! But dont fret, that's not everything or the main-reasoning at all.. But rather, to sum it up, is that I strongly believe having a Restaurant focused on a high-end vibe, and giving people a chance to either just chill, or detailRP unhurriedly.. is what makes my Restaurant the most unique. . Yeah!

₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚

What will you sell in your shop?:
Mostly Korean cuisine and just 1-2 japanese dishes per course, just because. Along with also some simple drinks. So, basically only Korean dishes and drinks. Yes, I'm aware this means spending some money on customs eventually.. I don’t believe I’ve seen all of the current existing Korean dishes in SRP, however, some I did see, and would maybe like to include are:

Menu with current existing items (that I know and would (probably) add!)
1775664909060.png
Sorry for the quality. .!
Hanjeongsik-style banchan platter
Seafood jeon bites
Abalone

Bulgogi tartare

Mini grilled fish (with delicate garnishes)
Japchae (but glass noodles!)

Rice cake

How many employees do you plan to have?:
The total of employees would be 21 for now! If necessary, later on I could add more spots, or even managers. However, right now I plan to have two Higher-Ups, the head of serves and the head of hosts, and those are already filled!
But to specify the employee-employee positions, there would be 5 senior servers, and 10 (regular) servers. But as for hosts, 10 hosts in general, existing out of 3 Senior Hosts and 7 (regular) ones. During an opening, there will be at-least 2 hosts needed as they’ll get separated into two roles per shift (Meaning, it's not something set, but gets switched around): One or more will be the Line Host(s), keeping the line in tact and letting the new people in when its time, while the entry host is the one who actually greets them, asks the questions you read above, and seating them. To add on though, I’ll have applicants that get accepted get through a trial-phase, just to see them actually work under real conditions throughout 1-3 openings and then decide!

1775656220307.png

How will you pay your employees?:
Okay, listen up! For servers it’s pretty simple. Once the shift ends and the panel shows its little cute owe/to-pay thing, I’d want it to be 35%. Meaning, my servers would pay
35% back of what they made that night. Let’s take the average of 60,000 yen made in a shift. After the server pays back their owe, which would be 21,000 yen, they’re still going home with 39,000 yen. I know that’s relatively low for an SRP shop, but the workers play such a massive role in creating Nightly Hansik’s elegant vibe/athmosphere, so giving them 65% feels like a fair choice!

Who are you applying with?:

1775655635200.png

NAME:
Her name is Ji-won Ahn

ETHNICITY:
half-Japanese/half-Korean

AGE:

She's (would be..) 25!

Oh, and she got cool blue-black hair. Heh!

Ji-won Ahn
Ji-won Ahn, Born in.. Osaka, Japan.
Well, there she was! A beautiful (dad) Korean- (mom)Japanese girl. Just another random girl that got to her
dreams (hopefully), and no one really knows how. But let me tell you!
She’s got a STORY, too!

Chapter 1: “Sometimes the minimum is all you need
Ji-won grew up with only her grandma, as unfortunately both her parents died during a car crash. How? Well, you see, after her mother gave birth to her, some complications happened. Some heart defect or whatever? Either way, despite not wanting to leave her newborn alone in the NICU, the father, the mother’s husband eventually talked her into going home for just a bit or a day to clean up and rest because the entire labour process was.. well, let’s say.. had complications, too! Now you may wonder, “grandpa?”. Girl, he was LONG gone! Well.. not literally. Her grandma used to talk about him, how he was such a casino-go’er outside, and like a rebellious little boy with his friends but a wonderful cook, and loving husband at home.. until some point. However he had already been going out more and more, so much that eventually he never returned. He was quite literally doing whatever he wanted for the past two- or three years, leaving ji-won’s grandma constantly alone and worried. But eventually she learned to accept it and started to have her own fun. Either way, he ended up.. unfortunately dying due to a heart attack a month before Ji-won was even born. Probably because of all these rollercoasters.. I’m sure he could’ve teached her how to cook.
Anyway though! Ji-won’s lifestyle and entire childhood was.. O-K! She had a kind grandma that made her know everything she needed to. Ji-won always was grateful.. okay well.. maybe not always as a tiny kid who had no one during Mother’s Day in daycare.. but.. as she grew up she eventually became more aware, and matured, even realising that she always has to give best.. because once grandma is gone, there would be no one but herself to trust. Or, so she thought.
Her grandma was already on the older side, getting more fragile and slower, along with some forgetfulness rising. It was if she’s holding on to her death juuussst for one specific thing to happen before she goes.

Chapter 2: “The extrovert
So! Like I said, she always wanted to be doing the best and her grandma taught her a lot of important lessons, including how to speak your mind, express your feelings, plan and organise things.. Grandma was locked. So in school she did not only get good, solid grades but she was the school's president by JHS1 and absolutely loved by.. almost everyone, especially the principal. Ji-won was that extroverted, very expressive and curious person as a kid, like goofying without meaning to. She took her role as the school's president seriously and to heart! Creating, managing, and helping set up events after school was typical to her day to day basis already. There was no real hate towards her during her school phase, I mean.. okay yeah, some people might’ve been a bit too jealous and said things - but ji-won didn’t care. She had all she needed!

Chapter 3: “Gladiolus
One day, ji-won was carrying a box of some props she collected throughout the schools and clubs that she needed for a little acting.. performance event.. Without a single thought, she was skipping down the hallway while everyone was in class. You see, she was excused to leave sometimes for a bit to help out or leave early if an event was coming up. It was a very interactive, massive and popular school, I should’ve mentioned... Anyway, as she was going down the hallway, minding her business, she heard some noises, cries to be specific and eventually saw a small, very young boy with beautiful ginger hair being bullied by some students her age. Obviously, hating injustice she immediately went between them and protected the little boy. After getting it all properly restored and the two guys reported she went to check on the boy again, who only responded by giving her a hug. Aww, how cute! Ever since then, ji-won grew this sense of responsibility and love for him. I mean how could you not? He was the definition of lonely and only seven! She started to visit him during lunchtimes, getting in some trouble as the older kids aren’t supposed to go over to the younger kids' property side.. but she didn’t care. Seriously, why should she? No one would remove THE president because she eats lunch with a lonely kid? LOL!
At this point masa- oh, yeah, ginger boy was named Masaki! Masaki was like a little brother to Ji-won, while saki probably looked at her like an.. older sister figure? Mother figure? Aunt figure? God, who knows! This kind of day-to-day life continued, they grew closer with the days. Ji-won however eventually realised that something wasn’t going all-right in his house. Flinching like that, coming back with bruises and starvation? Ji-won secretly followed Masaki to his house one day and watched as she saw his father drag him into the house from the porch and raise his arm into the air as the door fell. It was obvious, even for a 14 year old that he was being abused. However, there wasn’t much she could do. Or thought she couldn’t. Who was she gonna tell? What if they couldn’t do anything about it and it only makes him mad, harming Masaki more.. or worse? So, after realising the situation, not only her sense of care and worry grew more but she started to spend her time with Masaki after school, even if it meant not getting perfect grades - I mean, when did she anyway..

Chapter 4: “Distance
Sigh.. the day the two were dreading eventually came. Ji-won was nearing the end in JHS3, being fifteen while Masaki was nearing the end in ELMN2, being only eight. As they met at the start of JH2/ELMN1, it’s been two years since they knew each other, so clearly neither wanted to leave each other alone, especially when they found out the nearest senior high school was a 40 minute walk away. . Well, so it is..!
She went after high school, everyday, to Masaki - who’s been waiting on hours after hours after his school ended for her. Obviously, his school day ended way earlier.. I mean hello, he was only eight! Sometimes he walked the 40 minutes walk to ji-won’s school, trying to save her time as she needed all the time she could get to study. She wasn’t the president anymore, but still had a good reputation and was known because she used to be, hence why she was offered vice president, but she turned it down, wanting to spend her free time on Masaki.
Whatever though, she managed to pass her exam at the end of her 3rd Senior high school year, being 18 now. Simultaneously, Masaki finished ELMN5, being 11. Masaki kept studying, staying in school as ji-won lectured him over and over how important good grades will be. You see, she had that dream. To become a restaurant owner! To be specific, knowing her father was Korean and her parents had a deep love for food but never got to cook for their own child, she wanted to deeply open up her own restaurant, a Korean one. Her grandma taught her some cooking ways when she was younger and whenever she had the time, he taught herself some stuff. Whether about Korean culture or cooking. She was never really raised with any Korean culture, as her grandma was her mother’s mother, Japanese. However she fell in love with it as she first started to learn more about it.

Chapter 5: “Living or Existing?
While Masaki stayed in school, ji-won started going to University. It was very close to her high school, so just a tiny bit further from Masaki. But not only that, simultaneously she started to work part time jobs, genuinely working her ass off. It was EXHAUSTING, how did bro not have a burn out? Or did she..? Either way, why was she working like that anyway!? oh. Her grandma was visibly getting rapidly more sick than ever. Ji-won wanted to leave uni, at-least for now, spend some proper time with her. Buuut. Her grandma INSISTED, no- FOUGHT her (quite literally lol) to not only not do that but to start.. working?? Was she THAT far gone?? Ji-won was confused, shook, and even a little angry. If you’re not realising it, her grandma wanted to make sure she knew the responsibility of working and earning your own money and how to deal with it before she’d pass, instead of.. spending time with her. Told you, she was locked with teaching that gal life-lessons. Anyway, ji-won eventually gave in and did work like mentioned for 4 years, getting her uni degree meanwhile. During these four years, ji-won kept picking up Masaki after her long days, going to the park or wherever with him. Sometimes she debated, “was feeling guilty for spending time with a kid, someone like a brother to her in his situation valid knowing your own grandma is in her final moments?” -were her thoughts, probably. Nonetheless, she just continued. Obviously also eventually going home everyday and spending time with her grandma, but at that hour no grandma is awake anymore, despite the fact that she kept trying to wait for ji-won, and not fall asleep in her little sofa-chair.

Chapter 6: “Choosing yourself
When she turned 20, and Masaki was 13.. she had to move. Well, of course she didn’t HAVE to.. but she knew she can’t keep going with this kind of life, and ruining her career. And some part of her in her heart felt like she had to leave, so that her grandma could finally find peace. At first she didn’t want to, she even stayed for another month, continuing to go on about how she'd stay “just for oneee more yeaaarr..”. Well, well, well. . Her grandma refused. Quite literally kicking her out. LMFAOO. I know. But ji-won wasn’t mad or hurt! She knew it was her way of saying “girl.., let me die already and have a life”. A little brutal, yeah. Anyway, She said her property goodbye’s to her grandma and to Masaki, who was just as sad as her about the leaving. She felt constantly guilty, especially knowing his life at home. And despite the fact he said he understood, I don’t think she will ever cry this much again out of pure guilt.. on a freaking train, at that . .

Choo choo! Where did she go? Ji-won moved out, to Tokyo. I know, crazy environment-jump! There, she started to work at this high-end restaurant. As a waitstaff (and eventually also as the manager) to get some experience in the field while mastering her cooking skills and cultural, and business management knowledge at home, simultaneously.

Chapter 8: “Seventy-seven
Did you know the number 77 is generally known as a symbol of spiritual awakening, profound inner wisdom, and diving guidance?
77 hours and 14 minutes after ji-won closed her real home’s door, her grandma had passed away. (Sorry!) Ji-won called her everyday, three times. Morning, during her break, and evening, along with a text at night. And as her grandma didn’t respond at the second call in the morning of that one day, she knew. Ji-won contacted a neighbour to let the local police station know, wanting to make sure she gets her wish-funeral. Which she did! It was a beautiful funeral with dark blue and purple flowers and a traditional Korean one. Why? Ji-won never knew, but her Japanese grandma kept saying it and how could you say no to your dying grandma's funeral-wish?

Chapter 9: “Worry
Either way, back to masaki!
Obviously they wanted- and tried to keep in contact, but because of Masaki's dad it quickly became impossible. After two months, his secret phone that he only used to communicate with Ji-won was found and destroyed by his father. Ji-won was terrified as he stopped replying, rushing back on a train and sprinting to his house. She froze a few miles further, seeing him leaving his house and getting his backpack thrown alongside out. He looked so sick of it and exhausted. Ji-won didn’t let herself be seen, it would’ve been selfish to show herself, make him happy just to leave again. So, she simply returned back.

Chapter 10: “Ready.
Ready for WHAT? Heh. Remember her dream?
But before we go into that, abouuut four years later, Masaki contacted her. Ji-won broke down at her work, in shock. She was WAITING for this day to happen. Apparently, he had left his home and went to a city, a few further away. Eventually they started talking, updating each other. Ji-won mentioned she found the perfect city and is ready to finally make her dream come true. The city- actually, also and Island.. is perfect. Perfect balance of chaos and peace. She knew Karakura would work out well. So, she booked and paid for Masaki’s flight so he could go there already. However until he apparently.. had some bad times and met someone new, too. But ji-won doesn’t really know this in detail to this day. Right?
Either way, now. Still in Tokyo, working the last few months of her contract, she already has her entire restaurant’s concept planned out and prepared. Even managed to contact some people in Karakura who’d like to work there, eventually. She was excited. Everything she did, was supposed to eventually bring her to this. So all that was left was to hope the Island would approve her and her dream while waiting, and working for the last few months of her job’s contract.

SIDE NOTE: I got the sudden spontanous motivation to write her lore earlier so
if it seems a bit rushed then sorry! Not that it is rushed, it isnt, but it's probably not the craziest lore you've read of a Character. Some details havent been added yet.. whoopsie daisy!

What would your employee’s Uniforms look like?:
Okay hear me out, I couldn’t find a perfect reference, but I still believe it's interesting to see my idea! So, um. YeaahH!:

Servers:
Exactly this.. BUT instead of white, the specific green tone. (or similar..)

1775655215467.png

Hosts:
Also like the servers’ reference, with white and all. However, there would be two versions.
For hosts taking over the entry, they’ll have to wear it with a neat black blazer, while the line hosts
wear it with a black waistcoat instead.

1775655233679.png
HOSTS:
Pants ver. + Waistocat
Skirt ver. + Waistcoat
Pants ver. + Blazer
Skirt ver. + Blazer
SERVERS:
Pants ver.
Skirt ver.
/
/
To add on, Higher-Ups will wear a small green or red bracelet as a subtle way
to recognize their position in-game!

What would the vibe of Interior & Exterior of your shop be?:
These references are not to be taken.. Literal. Again, just their VIBE! #Night

But, theme-wise I'd like to add on, the main color-scheme will be black, white, and a bit green. Maybe with a
sparkle of red, wherever needed.
