Backstory
Amado grew up in the city of Madrid, Spain with his “family”. Unbeknownst to him until later in his life, Amado was dumped off as a kid. Left in front of a small shop, he was taken in by the owner, Aitana Aguero. Raised as one of Aitana’s own, Amado would be known as an Aguero for his whole life. He’d spend his day in the Aguero household which held the entire family, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, everyone you could think of. This led to it being a very cramped space, though he never minded it. Being around everyone all the time brought him a sense of joy that he would never want to give up. Though the Aguero’s owned the small shop, they were also a big part of the Spanish Mafia…
As he grew up, he was slowly introduced to different members of the mafia, considering the Aguero residence was a common meeting place. He grew to know these people well and created strong bonds with them. He’d even begin helping them with small things here and there, his payment being small things that he wished for at the time. The mafia members began to really like him, as well as acknowledging his intelligence as he grew up. Once they believed him to be old enough, he was given the opportunity to become a member. Without hesitation he immediately accepted the spot with a sense of joy.
As well as growing his skills as a mafia member, Amado always kept good control of his studies, never getting less than an A in school. He especially enjoyed geometry, as working with angles was his gift. One day, he was at a bar that was operated by the mafia, sitting on a barstool talking with one of the bartenders as he worked on his homework. Looking at his homework, the bartender would smile before asking how good he was at those silly little problems. As Amado was proud of his work, he’d confidently exclaim that he was quite proficient with angles. The bartender would point over to the billiards table and ask him to go over and show him what he can do with a cue.
Though he’d seen people play, he’d never actually touched a cue in his life. Walking over and picking it up, he’d hold it like he’d watched others do countless times before. Placing the cue ball on the breaking dot, he’d use the cue to strike the cue ball, the ball hitting outside edge of the triangle of billiards balls, a few going in right off the break. In shock, he’d continue to play, potting balls off crazy angles left and right. Over the course of the next five years, he’d continue playing pool, making a name for himself in the pro circuit. After a tournament he attended in London, he’d look at the next big tournament on the schedule: Karakura, Japan. The next day, he’d pack his bags and hop on a plane for this next destination…
