What is your motivation for applying?

I have been a member of the SchoolRP community for a long time now and would love to contribute more to the server. I’m truly passionate about this server, its players and the overall sense of community that’s been built. I would love to contribute more to this server than just playtime. I have been considering applying for various IC roles, and after a bit of time decided to apply as a member of the police force, especially after seeing the influx of GangRP in recent months. I would love to be a part of that roleplaying niche and contribute to it in a positive way. I also find the idea itself is very engaging for me, as it requires creative solutions as well as logical thinking, which I adore. Being part of the Karakura Police Force would allow me to work with others in order to stop crimes and keep Karakura safe.

Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct?

Yes, I believe so. I am also, of course, willing to learn and follow more obscure laws that I may not have encountered in my research.

What are the Police ranks?

K9 Unit

Cadet

Patrol Officer

Police Corporal

Police Sergeant

Police Investigator Trainee

Police Investigator

Police Lieutenant

Police Head Investigator

Police Vice Head Lieutenant

Police Head Lieutenant

Police Captain

Police Commissioner

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

ICly, I have witnessed multiple occasions of the Police force at work. Police deal with a variety of cases, including murder, illegal drug use, gang activity and underage drinking, as well as less severe cases such as jaywalking, or verbal harassment, or students skipping school. Most police work, I understand, is relatively non-eventful, especially in the earlier ranks. I understand that a lot of problems I may be dealing with at first will be smaller crimes or general disturbances such as children acting up towards authority or loitering. Once promoted to the higher ranks of police work, one would go on patrols and take note of suspicious activity and stop any crimes they may observe.

Why are Police important to SchoolRP?

They protect regular citizens and students from being harmed by more violent players, and they prevent a complete gang takeover. They also help reinforce laws ICly, which is extremely important because without the consequences police officers provide, the rules would be ignored completely.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?

Yes, I understand fully.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us about your character, how she looks, what makes her unique?

Momoko Yagami has always had an interesting style, fashion or otherwise. Her long, salmon-pink hair is nearly always put up in two messy space-buns, often resembling the peaches she was named after. With her hair out of the way, one could easily see her shining brown eyes and sharp jawline, harshly contrasting her soft demeanor. Her gently tanned body stands at 5”8 and weighs 168lbs. She is naturally pear-shaped, which is amplified by her history with cross-country and cycling. She has a uniquely optimistic, energetic personality that is hard to find in the modern world. Despite her apparent ignorance, she is quite informed and is aware of when a more serious demeanor is required. She is very athletic and, though her participation in competitive sports has dwindled in recent years due to her busy schedule, she still makes a point to exercise regularly. She has many friends due to her peppy, outgoing nature, though if you were to ask her she’d only name a handful of people as her friends.

What’s she like on the and off the job?

On the job she’d, obviously, take things more seriously than she usually does, although some of her signature pep manages to peek through. She’s always very friendly to her co-workers and always aims to have good relationships with them. Off the job she’s more carefree and bubbly, cracking jokes and singing songs in the streets with her friends.

Outlook on her co-workers? Plans for the future?

Momoko has a very positive view of her co-workers and enjoys collaborating with them, during work as well as after hours. She desires to be well-liked by her equals as well as her superiors and treats both with the utmost respect. She plans to stay with the Karakura Police Department and climb through their ranks, hoping to become a just and well-respected officer.

»»————- BACKSTORY ————-««

Momoko was born and raised in the bustling city of Tokyo alongside her mother and father, Nozomi and Daisuke Yagami. Her mother was a member of the Tokyo Police Department, and her father was a wealthy businessman. She was the only child in the family and received a lot of love from them, as well as many amenities due to her family’s wealth. Her earliest memories were her parents taking her far, far away to the fields of Osaka, where they visited the peach groves she was named after. They’d spend delightful afternoons wandering among the fields of trees, smelling the fresh, crisp scent of peaches. As Momoko grew up, though, her parents’ love began to fade. She’d notice them speaking less and less, her mother silently cooking their dinners whilst her father watched the news. Momoko spent this time wandering around the house, realizing how big it was now that it was silent. She began participating in sports clubs at her school to distract herself. She became a cross-country star among her classmates, and her cycling skills were a close rival. Under the surface, however, she felt fragile and uncertain. For the first time in her life, Momoko was afraid. This fear ate her alive as she ran faster and faster, pedaling harder and harder as if trying to outpace her fears. “If I just go a little faster,” she thought to herself, “I can make it.” And she did, for a while. She became less anxious about her parents’ instability, simply because she often wasn’t home to witness it. However, that all changed in a single afternoon. She had just come back from a long bike ride. She went inside, slid off her shoes, and looked up. On the couch, she saw her parents. For the first time in months, they were sitting side by side. She fell to the ground, knowing what they’d say. The words “We’re getting a divorce” rang through her head, and she couldn’t process the information. She kept thinking and thinking, trying to comprehend the words that had been uttered by her solemn parents. One day she stepped out the door to go for an early morning run when she saw it. A moving van. Her mother was leaving. “A new apartment in Tokyo,” her father told her. “She’ll be happy there.” The court case had been settled, her father easily winning custody over her due to his wealth. She visited her mother every other weekend, though, and they remained close. But then, a member of the TPD came to the door of her father’s mansion. One of her mother’s co-workers, Eito Abiko, devout officer and family friend. Her mother had been killed during a human trafficking bust. From that day onwards, with the support of her father and the Yagami family name, she vowed to become a police officer and carry on with her mother’s line of work. She trained hard and studied harder, absorbing any and all information thrown at her. Upon graduation, she was offered a job in Nara, Japan. She decided to take this opportunity not only for the work experience but, selfishly, for it’s closeness to Osaka. She often walked through the peach tree orchards as she used to when she was little, reliving the wonderful afternoons spent with her family. Her father, once again, supported her decision to leave for work and helped her move. She worked there for four years before deciding to move again. She was financially stable and doing well in Nara, but she wanted to see more of Japan. She wanted to decide where to live instead of relocating for work. And so, after many weeks, she settled down in Karakura, where she remains to this day.
