WHAT YOU WANT TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:
I was scrolling through the list of available languages to see if I would like to learn another, and somethings stood out to me. Firstly, the listing includes “Cantonese and Chinese”. Well, I hate to be that guy, I think what you mean here is Cantonese and Mandarin. Both are Chinese as they are mainly spoken in China. Since these languages are different- as the differ in pronunciation and usually a speaker of one can’t fully understand the other-, I’m not saying that they both shouldn’t be included. I’m just suggesting that you make the listing more accurate by changing Chinese into Mandarin to fully convey to a player what you're actually trying to say
Secondly, I think more languages should be offered especially more Oceania and Indonesian. I feel like on the first part since you’ve already rejected that idea that’d like be talking to a brick wall, but I think more attention should be given to languages of that region since Japan is situated close by so it would be likely to find someone who can speak such languages more than say Latin or Luxembourgish. On Indonesian part, I was just shocked to see it wasn’t included. Indonesian is one of the most spoken languages in Asia and one of the more common ones in the world (it only takes a google search to fact check that). You include so many smaller and lesser-known languages so I just think one of the most used one should be included as well. (You do include Malaysian, which is similar to Indonesian, but again these are different languages like Cantonese and Mandarin)
HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE SERVER/COMMUNITY?:
It will fix any misconceptions basically. Yes, when you say Chinese, you tend to think Mandarin, but with the inclusion of Cantonese (which is also Chinese) you simply just should be more clear on that fact. (Also, I’m not including any connotations that could come from the fact that it kinda seems when you call Mandarin Chinese, that you think Cantonese is not “true” Chinese)
Also including more languages adds more depth to roleplay. I’ve come across people who roleplay as Pacific Islanders and it would be nice if they could have just as much options as say Europe or Asia. This also goes from Indonesian. I feel like you won’t accept that part, but you know got to throw my shot.
