Describe your activity on the server:
9/10
I play a lot on my alt account right now, but I go on my adult for many reasons. I enjoy switching off of characters (As in I have 2-to 3 main ones I enjoy playing.) and I'm active almost every day. My high school account helps me get around socially because it's a school RP, so I'm not applying for it for that reason. I play my adult account a lot as well because of my business and just for fun.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes.

Shop Information
What shop are you applying for?:
Club Umbra's Location
Club Umbra is the top location I'd choose because it's closest to the beach and fits our theme. It's a memorable spot since someone has already had this location before. The beach is fishy and breezy, and it just screams for a fish restaurant location.
The Club Umbra location is also a reasonable place because it's also a romantic setting ICLY really, and there are apartments around, but it's also its own secluded setting, making it more official.
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?
I'd like to have fun and expand my friendships with people amongst SRP, getting to know a range of players a lot better than the ones I already do know.
I want to carve out my path once again on SRP by combining two things I love: roleplaying and business. Being a shopkeeper was always on my mind because, in real life, I have a love for business. It helps to know that I currently attend college to get my business management degree, and I even have my own business verified on the server already!—that's how much I love it. It would be fun to apply my skills in-game with yen, storage, hiring people, etc. I want that experience ICly while also letting others be a part of it with me.
One of my huge inspirations was the two shops I adored and worked for. Daisuke Yohin, and La Casa Nostra (LCN) I worked for the owner of Daisuke Yohin about a year ago when it opened, and I got to see it all be built and even worked there during my ICly professor days.
Tippies La Casa Nostra (LCN) restaurant, I can't remember when exactly I was hired, maybe the beginning of 2023. I worked there for quite some time and even had my peer teach me about the management there before leaving, and it was a great experience. I learned a lot about stock and serving people ICly (which, heaven forbid, I had never done before, even in real life). But now that I have both ICly and real-life knowledge, I’d like to put it towards something to entertain others. A beautiful roleplay experience.
I see this faction as one of many factions with the most dedicated players in SRP because I have seen how hard they have worked to get their place here. I can’t say I worked too hard to be here either, but I’d like to try.
While roleplaying as an adult is fun, I need something to do and work towards, especially considering all the free time I have in real life. I do roleplay with every character I have because I like change. If I got this role, I would probably be on it the most, whilst switching off at times to be on my high school account. I care a lot about the adult roleplay experience and contributing to SRP. I wouldn't abuse this role by only using it to come on an open once a week or something like that. I would come on this role and treat it like any other adult role, just with a bit more responsibility. I'd love to open a restaurant that can be seen as fun but elegant for the players. I've watched others become shopkeepers in the few years I've played SRP, and I think I'm ready.
What is the name of your Shop?
Tabemono Tobiko
...is an interesting play on words.
Definition; Tabemono" (食べ物) is a Japanese word that translates to "food" in English. It refers to anything edible that you consume for sustenance or pleasure.
Definition; Tobiko (とびこ or とびこう, 飛び子) refers to the roe (fish eggs) of the flying fish. It is a popular ingredient in Japanese cuisine and is known for its small, crunchy texture and vibrant color, typically ranging from orange to red. Tobiko flying fish are simply fish ranging from the colors blue/gray to all sorts of grays. They have paper-thin wings that allow them to jump in the water, giving people the impression that they fly.
The name is a play on words because each of the words means "tobiko/fish" and "enjoying eating"
It's easy to remember and makes it fun to pronounce!
Because of the sound, the meaning behind the words, and the fun way to pronounce them make it much easier to remember. We plan to have the most interesting and unique aspects to a restaurant—a delicacy that will be the reason people come to dine with us that isn't just about our name.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
Fish Throwing
That very fish described above is the only fish that’ll be thrown from one experienced employee's hands to another, throwing the fish across the room for (ICly) entertainment purposes. A main attraction of our restaurant! (I’d hire people who can DetailRP throwing/catching things like baseball players even! - and they can roleplay throwing a fish! Therefore, they’ve got baseball throwing skills so it would make sense to hire them as an employee, and they can use their skills in another setting other than baseball, etc.)
You know how sometimes you'd go to a Korean BBQ and they have those fancy chefs at the front showing how they cook? Similar to that! Except here, they will show you their amazing fish-throwing skills/or chopping skills.
Of course, we wouldn’t throw the fish over anyone’s head, but just in the entertainment area of our restaurant or the counter we throw the fish at. That is what makes us extremely unique.
Fish Discount
Another unique factor about our restaurant and bar is that we will host a community discount on your food every month, as long as you bring in a fish picture, one you caught yourself! You’ll need a picture of you holding it (ICly) to obtain your discount. Once you do this, you will receive our discount. You may also be asked permission to post on our restaurant's Discord server for a shoutout! Only managers and executive chefs can offer this amazing discount. (This discount is only available when we announce it in the advert.)
Koi Fish Bar
This feature would be exclusive to the bar itself, not the main attraction of the restaurant. Besides tobiko fish... I have a huge love for koi fish.
The koi tank bar will be an elegantly low-lit space with a fish tank as the countertop. Drinks will be served over the protective glass so customers can watch the fish swim around instead of drowning their sorrows away! (Haha, I had to add some humor to this application...)
If this feature isn't to your liking, might I suggest another? Instead of the fish tank being the actual counter, it could even be behind the counter, part of the shelving for the bar. Both are grand ideas. This bar is meant to attract adult roleplayers.
(We will only hire a bartender who has an adult role/of age ICLY, for common sense; being a high schooler should not be selling alcohol!)
Custom Drinks
We will take our drinks very seriously. We will be selling a variety, like; tequilas, wines, vodkas, and rums!
Eventually, if we become popular, we’ll create an official margarita-inspired tobiko drink—a heavy orange but tart tequila with tobiko eggs as the rim, instead of a salt rim. It would be served in a margarita glass. Maybe someday, even a full bottle of it.
ICLY (DetailRP) Cooking
Near our bar area, we will have a sit-and-watch counter, showcasing how we cut/cook our fish. (ICly, I would hire someone with a chef background, and they’d roleplay cutting fish, throwing fish, cooking fish, and providing entertainment for the restaurant while people wait for their meals to be served! This would work especially for people who have the Chef role.) This is good because cooking fish on SRP is a level 0 skill, meaning ANYONE can do this. If we bought fish every month as a part of our stock, we could include it by cooking it live in front of customers and selling it.
I would like our restaurant to be the one that people come to when they would like to host private events, as well. Such as the following; weddings, birthdays, sports team celebrations, KPD appreciation events, and anniversaries!
I plan to hire responsible people willing to learn in a setting like this and expand all of our roleplay experiences. (I will also be hiring people who have a good reputation, and are interested in the in-character experience, like interviews ICLY, etc.)
The Promenade
``Adults of Karakura, are you tuning in? Because the music on the dance floor is calling for you.
We invite you to attend our very formal weekly event; a promenade!
We suggest you dress in your finest, inviting friends, family, and even loved ones to come for a dance. Our Japanese jazz gently will glide throughout the room to sweep you off your feet...``
Once a week, I would open the shop up ONLY for drinks and appetizers, a small opening sure, but an opening that invites the community to a beautiful setting. I enjoy dancing in real life, but I think it would be fun to open the shop only once a week like this to gain a ''fancy' reputation, one that still offers a bite to eat.
What will you sell in your shop?:
Our menu will consist of fine seafood, rice, sushi, juices, and more!
The tables below will give a realistic yet hypothetical example of our menu, as we would work things out with the advice of the faction/others.
How many employees do you plan to have?

What would a shop advert look like?
Here are 2 examples:
[ADVERT] Looking for the perfect but fun date night? [ADVERT] ``Steps from the beach, feel the ocean breeze as you make your way over to Tabemono Tobiko! Try our new cod plate and sushi box. Everything fish, everything fresh—and yes, we throw the fish!``
Extra (Optional)
Restaurant Design
I built the exterior on my own, and the interior with the help of an amazing friend of mine. This is just to give you an idea.
Additional notes about your application:
My application's "fish throwing" feature is heavily inspired by Seattle Washington's Pikes Place Market, USA.
I went there as a child and adored the fish market, but I also loved tobiko eggs since they had them. It made a perfect snack for me every time I visited! If you look it up on YouTube, you'll see great examples.
We would also have our very own discord (of course) and I would be sure to ICLY hire people at the old location first, train them oocly/icly, and then do our grand opening. Training people properly is very important and helps me be able to navigate who's capable of what.
I didn't get to mention this because I already feel as if my application is too long but! Yes, I have a character for this role. His name is Eanraig Skye Lachlan, but everyone calls him Lachlan. He is from Scotland, loves fish, has a business degree, and loves to cook. He has a beautiful backstory I have yet to post, but I'm sure you'd like his unique nature ICLY. (He is the character in the pictures as posted at the beginning of my application.) He is just my silly 39-year-old adult character who's trying to make it through life! I roleplay him most often.
Here is a whole photo montage of what he looks like below.
I also have an idea of what I want for each of the uniforms, but you should get to know the main things in this application instead of that. (Like how I'd rp hiring people, what my restaurant is about, and what's unique, etc..)
To top it all off, I would like to thank all the staff and players who have taken the time to read this application the whole way through.
Do you have any questions?
What's your favorite part of this faction?
