IGN (In Game Name): AlienSimi
Previous bans: None

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?:
Yes.

Describe your activity on the server:
Weekdays I'll be able to fit 1-5 hours. Weekends I'll usually be free for the whole day. I like spending my time online

Do you have TeamSpeak3?
Yes. Though I do not enjoy speaking with strangers too much through voice.

Do you have a microphone?
Yes.

List your current and past applications:
This is the first.

What is your motivation for applying?:
I have a personal connection towards art for it's what I do. I believe anybody can draw if they believe, and put extra effort to it. And I'm the kind of push they need for that extra effort.

Have you read the megathread for Teachers?
Yes. I have read it and understand it completely.

Summarize your previous experience (both in general and teacher wise):
As I mentioned earlier, it's what I do. I am a digital artist. I've been drawing regularly ever since I could remember, and I plan to take my career as an Art Teacher in my own personal life. Hopefully at the high school I use to attend to. The people I know always look at me as an artist. Online I inspire a lot of kind strangers, and friends. I am more than willing to pass on my knowledge in arts.

I can't show much of what I do for it's usually not appropriate. But this is something I did out of boredom a few months ago. Not my work at finest, but certainly my work.

I have also moderated in text-based chats that averagely had around 50 users online active in the past.

List the ranks of teachers, starting from the bottom leading to the top:
Trainee (Trainee), Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), Head of Department (HD)

Have you read & understood the megathread that is in Roleplay Documents > Teachers?
Yes. I have read it entirely and completely understand.

From your perspective as of right now, identify one thing you would change about the Teacher Group. Why would you change that?
I wouldn't change the Teacher Group one bit. I find it fine the way it is.

Knowledge Section

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose to they serve, what salary they get. Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

Teachers are there to prepare students for adulthood. Providing the student knowledge for their career, behavior, and preparation to be ready to be an adult. Setting them up for success.

The salary for a secondary art school teacher was roughly estimated to be $55,000 annually.
The national average salary for elementary school was slightly lower at $53,000.
For the server a school teacher tends to get paid 250000 yen.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server:

Teachers are a must to the server. Without teachers to provide education, support, and discipline the students, the server would either be out of control, or have no meaning to it's title.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

Trainee - This is the start of the job. You are not allowed to start up any classes, or do any work for any teacher. All you have to do is join a class (with permission of the teacher) and learn from the teacher's work on how lessons take place. This rank only lasts a couple of days though.

Newly Qualified Teacher - As a more advanced teacher, you may open lessons. But you must check in with your HD and Roleplay Documents to check in when/what you will be teaching. If there are no lessons planned yet, inform the teachers. You do not have to follow the lesson plans from the book, but you should check in the key parts provided in it.

Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills - This is the normal rank for a teacher. You may start lessons whenever wanted. Though organize the lessons with other teachers. You're expected to not make many errors. You may let trainees attend your classes to watch. But you may not train them.

Head of Department - Not much of a chance for you to reach this stage if a HD already exists. But they can offer you co-HD. If you're lucky enough to be titled as HD, you may plan lessons in your department, along with lesson plans.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:

MoSCo system (Must have, Should have, Could have.)
Must: Your main subject that you want your students to learn during the lesson.
Should: An important thing that should be done. (The objective 'Must' needs to be included)
Could: Not expected to be completed. But works as a fine add-on.

Character knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?

Miss Simi plays as a generally reasonable, kind, warming teacher. She wears a black ribbon holding together her braided light green hair resting on one side of her shoulder. Which compliments her glowing lime colored eyes. She tends to wear black jeans combined with braces to hold up her pants from the support of her shoulders. Underneath her braces she wears a simple long-sleeved white top. Her legs are covered with a white and green rimmed knee sock on her left, and a black ripped knee sock on her right. She walks in any comfortable sneakers she finds.

Miss Simi is unique due to the fact she will encourage any student to show their good side and talents. She will push herself to meet a teacher's standards to educate her students thoroughly.

Miss Simi's outlook on students is that no student should be left behind. As bad and misbehaved a student can be, she believes with a little discipline and kindness a student can understand how important education is. Though a student should meet their standards as well. (Arriving to class, obeying rules, and listening.)

Miss Simi's outlook on teachers is that they're people just like her, doing their job. Off duty it'd be beneficial and comforting to befriend other teachers. Considering they already have something in common; educating students!

Miss Simi's personality is very heartwarming and understanding. She will try her best to understand another person's view of things. Though if somebody is violating rules, she will look at things in the eyes of the rules. (Meaning if somebody did something bad, no 'buts' or 'whys'. If they did something wrong, punishment is punishment.)

Miss Simi's plans for the future is to be an art teacher, and enjoy art for as long as she can. She hopes to inspire many students to let out their talents, and be thankful they had such a understanding teacher.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

Reasonably warn them to stop, and briefly let them know the conciseness. If they choose to continue, they'll be facing detention.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?

Tell them to be quiet while keeping my cool. If they continue to talk, I'll let them know I'm timing how long they're talking. And the longer they talk, the longer they stay after the bell.

When in a teacher lounge, how does your character act?

Minding her own business. We all have work to do. And if some don't, others do. Miss Simi will be sitting silently reading some novels.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom.

/me Moves aside from the canvas to present the painting to take note of.
/me Takes a HB pencil from the cup cluttered in other art tools.
/me Begins to draw a shadow coming from the drawn circle.
/me Hands homework to the students, in a very organized matter.
/me She points a mistake on (player name)'s work. Expecting her to retry it.

Backstory

Simi was always pulled towards art ever since she was young. She could stare at an art piece for hours, doing nothing but admiring every little detail the artist did. She grew up in a very poor, depressed family. Her father lost his right leg from car accident due to him being an alcoholic. Her mother working constantly, causing a very distant relationship from Simi. And her older sister, pregnant at 17. Simi was constantly bullied just for her family. The only thing that made her happy at the time was doodling.
School then expected her to know what she wants to be. She shyly always said "An art teacher." Everybody patted her on the head for the idea, but never imagined her meaning it. She pitied people who had flaws, and wanted to give them a chance, since she was once just like them. Art was her only getaway, and thought she can inspire people to let their minds out for once through paper.

By the time she was in her final high school year, her father slowly got very sick. Her mother lost her job. And her sister moved away to another country. Simi started working at fast-food restaurants trying to help pay bills. When she'd get home, she babysit for people. Due to how busy she was trying to pay for the roof she lived under, she was failing school. She had to retake her last year twice before she graduated.

Her father passed away March 7th of 1977. It was tough for her. But time went on.
She started drawing again more than ever. Trying to take the pain away from her loss.
She got accepted to a college in Alberta, and spent a couple of years studying arts, and learning how to be a teacher. She moved to Japan searching for a school to accept her as a teacher to encourage students to have a better education, and be the best 'them' they can be.
