School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Librarian
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The role is about keeping one of the most important parts in the school alive and functioning! The library. Making the space feel calm and welcoming while also keeping it organized enough that everything works the way it should. A librarian MAKES SURE books are cared for, properly catalogued, and easy to find, so no student feels lost the moment they walk in! The library isn’t just a room full of shelves; it’s a place where students and staff can relax, think, and focus without distraction for studies! Although, beyond maintaining the space itself though, a librarian is there for the people who use it! They help students navigate research, point them toward the right materials, and offer recommendations that actually fit what someone is looking for! Whether it’s answering small questions or guiding someone through a larger project, the role in itself requires patience, and a genuine understanding of how people learn! On another side, they handle daily tasks like checking books in and out, issuing library cards, and keeping track of overdue items, making sure everything runs smoothly in the background!
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I have a lot of experience with roleplay and started pretty early, around 2018 or 2019. Over the years, I’ve tried different styles and learned what I enjoy most! Mostly detailrp/romancerp. I like putting effort into my characters and their emotions! Recently, I’ve been working on a family roleplay with a few friends, which has helped me focus more on long term-ish dynamics and character development. I’m also really interested in getting into facultyrp more though, since it adds a different kind of structure and interaction that I’d like to explore more!
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
Mainly to gain experience and branch out more in roleplay. I’m interested in learning how school employee RP works within the faction and getting a better feel for how everything operates. I also have some real-life experience that I think I could bring into my roleplay, and I’d like to see how that translates into the setting and interactions. (Hopefully...) Another BIG reason is the connections! I’d really like to meet and roleplay with other employees in the faction and build relationships beyond just my small circles that I have.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Anh pauses for a moment when the student starts cursing at her, letting the words hang for a moment instead of snapping back immediately. She exhales slowly through her nose, not annoyed so much as tired... And straightens her posture to face them properly! Her expression stays neutral, but her voice is calm as she addresses them, making it clear their language and attitude aren’t acceptable. She made sure to not raise her voice or insult them back... She just sets a boundary instead! If the student continues to push, Anh’s tone tightens just slightly. She repeats herself, more direct this time, making it clear she’s giving them a chance to correct their behavior, she doesn’t engage with the insults themselves, only the behavior behind them! Warning them of the consequences if they keep going, STATING it plainly without any more chances. Should the disrespect keep escalating, Anh would just reach for a detention slip at this point and hand it over... She explains exactly why the detention is being issued and keeps the interaction brief at that point... Explaining that the discussion is over unless the student is willing to speak respectfully. However! if the student’s tone shifts at any point, calm down, or show even a bit of restraint, Anh eases up with them. Her posture relaxes slightly, and her voice softens as she acknowledges the change. She gives them space to explain themselves if they choose to, listening and trying to understand where the anger came from. While she doesn’t excuse the behavior, she makes it clear that respect goes both ways, and that she’s willing to help as long as the conversation stays civil!
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Anh immediately steps between the two students, putting herself in a stable stance to prevent further punches. She quickly assesses who is throwing what, keeping her hands ready to separate them without escalating! Her eyes check for injuries, swelling, bruised knuckles, and she jots notes as she goes, marking who was involved and what happened. If the fight continues despite her presence, she firmly speaks over them, ordering them to stop while keeping one hand lightly on a shoulder or arm to block sudden movements. Her voice remains calm but authoritative, she would use her walkie-talkie to call faculty support if the situation doesn’t de-escalate, continuing to hold her position between the students while giving updates to whoever responds! Once the students calm enough to be separated, Anh ensures any injuries are addressed and voiced, carefully inspecting hands, arms, and any bruising before guiding anyone hurt to the nurse’s office if needed. She checks in briefly, asking direct questions about pain or discomfort to confirm their well-being. She then hands out detention slips and logs the incident according to school protocol, documenting the events and the students’ roles!
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Anh hesitates for a moment, her stomach tightening at the risk, but she knows she can’t just stand by. She positions herself between the employee, students and any immediate danger, making sure anyone nearby is out of harm’s way while trying not to draw attention to herself... But she forces her voice to remain calm as she addresses the situation. She observes the employee closely, taking mental notes of exactly what’s unsafe and where the risk lies. In a firm tone, she points out the potential hazards and suggests a safer way to carry out the task. If the employee doesn’t immediately adjust, Anh steps in carefully, gently guiding their hands or posture toward the safer approach, demonstrating the correct way to do it without making it feel like a confrontation. Even as fear creeps in, she keeps her composure, focusing on the immediate safety of everyone around. Once the task is under control and the danger is removed, Anh steps back slightly, making it clear that reckless behavior isn’t acceptable, especially in view of students. She stresses their responsibility as a role model, ensuring they understand the consequences of their actions while keeping the interaction professional, avoiding any unnecessary conflict!
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
As soon as Anh enters the break room, she moves directly to the coffee machine, filling the water reservoir, selects her usual blend, and waits patiently as the machine brews! While the coffee is pouring, she checks the counters for any clutter or leftover items from previous employees, straightening a napkin holder or wiping a small spill if needed, almost automatically... Once her coffee is ready, she carries it to a corner table, keeping her posture relaxed. She pulls out her phone from her pocket and scrolls through messages or notifications, tapping and swiping slowly, occasionally pausing to read something more carefully. If her phone doesn’t hold her attention, she pulls out a small book she usually carries with her, opening it to the page she last left off and reading. Throughout this, her body language remains closed-off but not unfriendly: she sits with her legs crossed or tucked slightly under the chair, shoulders relaxed, eyes occasionally flicking up to observe the room or anyone who comes in. If another employee approaches and starts a conversation, she looks up immediately, setting her book or phone aside, and shifts her posture to face them. She listens attentively, nodding or responding with short comments, but otherwise keeps the interaction respectful and polite. When she finishes a chapter or puts her phone away, she may sometime start stacking books neatly, cleaning up a cup or napkin, or adjusting her chair!
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me let out a soft sigh as she clocked in, her shoulders slumping slightly from the fatigue of waking up early... She adjusted the strap of her bag over her shoulder and moved toward the teacher’s lounge, walking with in lazy-ish pace, not rushing but not dragging either... When she reached the lounge, she went straight to the coffee machine, filling it with water and scooping in her usual coffee blend. She pressed the buttons with a small tap, watching the drip slowly fill the cup, her fingers tapping lightly on the counter while she waited. While the coffee brewed, her eyes drifted to the counters and shelves around her. A few crumbs from the morning rush sat on a tray, a cup left behind by another teacher... She absentmindedly wiped at a crumb or moved a cup aside. Once the coffee was ready, she grabbed it, testing the temperature with her lips before taking a slow sip, holding the mug close to her chest. Her gaze wandered to the windows, watching students move around in the courtyard, laughing, arguing, or shoving each other playfully. For a moment she just observed, her expression neutral before mentally noting what tasks she’d need to tackle first. Eventually, she pulled her attention back to the room, scanning coworkers in the lounge. Some were chatting, some scrolling on phones, and she adjusted her skirt slightly, tugged lightly at the hem of her blouse, then slid into a nearby conversation. Her comments were minimal, quiet, nods, short observations... But she listened closely, picking up small details about what had happened earlier in the morning without having to ask. Every so often, her eyes flicked toward her watch or the clock on the wall, calculating how long she had before she needed to return to the library. She sipped her coffee again, slower this time, letting it warm her hands while she leaned lightly against the counter, shoulders relaxed but posture steady.
/me sat down with a low creak of the chair, already picking up the first stack of returned books. She flipped each one over slowly, inspecting the covers, edges, and spines for damage or missing serial numbers. Her pen hovered over a notebook as she jotted notes about each book, occasionally pausing to rub at her temples when a particularly worn volume caught her attention... Her fingers moved across the keyboard to log the entries, tapping at keys to seem occupied! A student appeared at her desk suddenly. She blinked slowly, letting out a quiet breath as she closed the book she had been holding, leaning forward slightly to give them her attention. "How can I help you, dear?" she asked, her voice calm. When the student spoke, she nodded occasionally, her responses short but thoughtful, repeating instructions or clarifying rules as needed without losing patience. If the student fumbled with their words or seemed hesitant, she leaned back just slightly, adjusting her posture to appear less imposing while still maintaining authority. Between helping students, she would pick up another book, flick through the pages, check the barcode, and slide it into the correct return slot... Every few minutes she stretched her fingers or rubbed the back of her neck, before returning to the desk. Her gaze often drifted toward the clock or toward the windows, keeping track of time.
/me rested her head lightly against a nearby shelf, letting out a low, tired sigh. Her heels ached from standing, and her back felt stiff. She slid the final few books into place, then leaned back against the shelf for a second, rubbing at her shoulders and shaking them out slowly. She straightened her posture, glancing over her desk to make sure nothing was out of place, and returned to her chair. She went through her notes one last time, stacking papers neatly, closing her notebook, and checking the computer to confirm it was logged off. Her bag was slung over her shoulder, but she paused to adjust a stray lock of hair and rub at her eyes briefly, tired but still alert. She scanned the library one last time, eyes sweeping over the shelves, desks, and chairs, making sure everything was in order. Satisfied, she gathered the remaining items from her desk, coffee cup long emptied, pen tucked away, and books stacked. Before leaving, she ran her hands lightly over the edge of the counter and the top of her chair, a small habit to check for stray dust or marks! Then finally stepped toward the door... One final glance at the library, a small shake of her shoulders, and she stepped out, her expression neutral, tired, and slightly nonchalant, finally another day work was done! Just gotta get ready for the next...

Backstory
out of the house. Anh did not understand what was happening, but she noticed the tension in the room and the way her mother tried to stay composed. That was the last time she ever saw her siblings. From that moment on, Anh carried a quiet fear that she never spoke about. In her mind, she began to associate safety with usefulness and worth. She believed that if she failed or disappointed her parents, she too could be sent away. As she grew older, that fear transformed into relentless pressure she placed entirely on herself. She began to believe that mistakes were dangerous and that the only way to remain secure was to never fall behind. Reading and writing became her escape and her coping mechanism. She spent long hours with books, not just for enjoyment, but to feel grounded and capable. She organized her days into strict routines, carefully planning her time and setting expectations that only she seemed to notice. During her teenage years, this pressure intensified. Sshe often stayed up late trying to understand concepts that did not come easily to her. When she struggled, she would break down quietly, calling herself stupid and accusing herself of not studying hard enough. Even when she succeeded academically, it brought little relief. Her achievements never felt like rewards, only temporary proof that she had not failed yet!By the time she turned twenty, the weight of staying in the same environment became unbearable! Wanting to prove to her parents that her years of effort meant something, Anh told them she had received a prestigious job opportunity in Japan. In truth, she simply wanted to leave. She wanted distance, space, and the chance to find out whether she could survive without the structure of her family watching over her. The lie made her feel a bit guilty... But, she justified it as necessary! If leaving required bending the truth, then it was a price she was willing to pay. Once she landed in japan, It was harsher than she had anticipated. The language barrier wore her down quickly, turning simple tasks into exhausting ordeals. Ordering food, navigating paperwork, and even asking for directions left her frustrated and embarrassed. She spent hours studying Japanese, repeating phrases under her breath and mentally replaying conversations she felt she had handled poorly. And then, Isolation set in... Filling the spaces between her routines. Small mistakes felt catastrophic, echoing the fears she had carried since childhood. More than once, she found herself crying over things that seemed insignificant on the surface. Still, she continued forward, relying on discipline rather than confidence, telling herself that persistence had always been enough before.
Over time, however, the gap between what she had promised her parents and what she was actually living became impossible to ignore. The prestigious positions she had spoken about never became real. Dsays passed quickly as unemployment settled into her life, heavy and persistent. She spent long hours walking through the city, going around, convincing herself she was searching for opportunities when, in reality, she was stalling. During these routines, she passed by Karakura more times than she could count. At first, it was nothing more than a building along her route. Gradually, she began to slow her steps. She lingered outside the gates, imagining the kind of order that existed inside a place governed by schedules, responsibility, and clear expectations. The thought of applying crossed her mind repeatedly, only to be dismissed just as quickly. It was not the future she had envisioned for herself, and acknowledging interest felt too close to admitting failure. Still, the idea refused to leave her. When her savings began to thin and bills left little room for pride... Hesitation stopped being an option! At twenty six, after passing the school yet again, she finally stepped inside and submitted an application for a librarian position. \The role suited her more than she had expected. The job fit her better than she expected! The routines, the silence in the library, and the need to keep things in order felt familiar! Almost natural, after a lifetime of holding herself to strict standards. Over time, the library became a place where her effort actually showed. If she did the work, things stayed in place. If she paid attention, nothing fell apart. From the outside, Anh’s life looked plain. She went to work, paid her bills, and kept to herself. Inside though, she was still hard on herself, still chasing expectations she never quite reached. But she had learned how to take care of herself, how to stay steady through routines and control. Working as a librarian gave her something she didn’t like to admit she needed: a reason to keep going. Even if she never felt proud of herself, every finished task and every neat shelf reminded her of the same thing. She was capable of standing on her own, even if satisfaction always stayed just out of reach.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
"Uh… honestly, I didn’t really have some big motivation at first. I wasn’t planning this or anything! I just… kind of passed by KHS a lot on my way home. Like, a lot. And at some point it just stuck in my head. I never thought I’d end up applying to a school, though. If I had to picture myself here, I always assumed it’d be as a teacher or something like that. Librarian wasn’t even on my list at first. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. A lot more than teaching ever did.
Being a librarian feels… fitting. It’s quieter, more behind the scenes, but still important. I like working with books, with information, with things that need care and organization and all those stuff... I like reading, studying, keeping track of things, making sure they’re where they’re supposed to be. I don’t really need to be the face of something. I’m more comfortable being the backbone... The kind of person who keeps things running smoothly without making a big deal out of it, ya' know? And I think the library is exactly that kind of place. So... I guess that’s why I applied. It just feels like somewhere I could actually be useful, and do a good job, without pretending to be something I’m not."
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Although I don't have any formal librarian experience, I’ve worked as a general TA and spent a lot of time around both classrooms and the library, which taught me how things run day to day. I’m able to stay focused for long amount of time, especially on tasks that require attention to detail like detailRP, handling books, reading, etc. I genuinely like keeping spaces clean, and well maintained, and I take responsibility for the things I’m trusted with! If something needs to be done, I make sure it’s finished properly instead of rushed or half done.
