Out-Of-Character Information
What is your Minecraft username?: Ash_tr0naut_Bean
Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?): itstismtime
What is your time zone?: CST, USA
Describe your activity on the server: On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate my activity on the server an 8/10. I have an immense amount of free time on my hands, so I strive to come online every day even if it is just for a short time. Most days I am online for at least 5-7 hours or longer everyday, unless I were to be preoccupied with doctors appointments or outings with friends or family!
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?: Yes, I acknowledge that I will be demoted if I am inactive.
School Employee Role you are applying for?: I’m applying for Caretaker!
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for: A caretaker is exactly that; someone to care for the youth of the school and the building itself. Whether it be breaking up fights to ensure no student gets hurt, to aid teachers or professors when radioed, or even to check the CCTV cameras to check evidence of mischief. If a student were to get hurt, caretakers take them to the nurses office. If faculty are mistreating a student, a caretaker is there to step in and defuse the situation. Aside from helping students and faculty, caretakers tend to the building in terms of cleanliness, tidying up messes and keeping things in check. Caretakers are also able to drive the bus, stopping at every bus stop to pick up the students to bring them to school!
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: I became a member of SchoolRP around April 24th, 2023, and have been online almost every day aside from an approx. 6 month leave before returning early 2025. I have been involved in Professor Faction as a Creative Writing Professor for 7 months, Family Roleplay as the Sychyov Family lead, Gang Roleplay in a number of gangs, though most notably Man’en, Kagetsu and The Mandate, and normal High School or Citizen Roleplay. My experience in Family roleplay experience ranges from being involved with the Togomi Family a long time ago as an adopted child, to more presently the Sychyov Family as the lead. My Criminal and Gang roleplay experience ranges from being involved with the first generation of the intelligence gang Man’en, reaching a high rank before taking my short hiatus, and returning to SchoolRP early 2025, and returning to the third generation of Man’en and reaching the tri-lead rank. As a higher rank, I take on more responsibilities to the community and I strive to represent a top work ethic to lower ranked members, which I believe greatly benefited my roleplay experience overall. Currently, my rank is the Mandate is in the middle; though I focus mostly on DetailRP and communicative interactions.
Outside of SchoolRP and RoleplayHub, I only really have dungeons and dragons experience. I’ve participated in a few major campaigns since my sophomore year of high school, both as a dungeon master and casual player. I’ve played a range of characters, from NPC’s, god characters and narrator as DM, to a range of different characters of varying race and classes as a casual player.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?: I wish to join the School Employee faction because it interests me and seems very fun compared to most roleplay. I aspire to join in order to have fun, and to create fun experiences for other players. I hope to achieve some variety in my roleplay experiences, moving on from high school, college, professor, and crime roleplay; I also believe it would be easy, given my experience in the professor faction.

Situations

/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?: Upon being berated verbally, Samuil does not give a reaction, at most the elder man gives a blank stare in return. He certainly doesn’t care what people say or think of him as he doesn’t take things to heart. Instead, Samuil decides to calmly remind the student it is not polite to be using such words. As much as the male would prefer to ignore the berating, he must follow employee policy—as he wouldn’t want the student doing the same to anybody else—Samuil warns them that continued disrespect could result in consequences such as detention.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?: Calmly approaching the situation, Samuil would attempt to verbally break the students apart, as faculty are unable to lay hands on students to split them up. Any students that had been seen assaulting the other would quickly be reprimanded with a quick detention slip, regardless if it was in defense of the other or not; as assaulting another student is disallowed. Any students that were involved but weren’t seen throwing any punches, Samuil would be quick to check any knuckles, elbows, or knees for any signs of assaulting another student. Any injured students would be either sent to or escorted to the nurses office to be checked out for any injuries. If students do not listen, Samuil will be quick to radio for back up, in hopes someone else would be able to get into the students head. If all else fails and the students run off, the last resort would be to intercom them to the front office in order to be handled promptly. Of course, the chain of command would be informed if students ignore the intercom up to 3 times.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?: Although Samuil is calm and otherwise emotionless, he is not one to idly sit by while someone is under threat of danger, as he is obligated to care for those he’s surrounded by including his own co-workers. Samuil would calmly get their attention and inform them that it is ill-advised to continue with what they were doing. Whatever they were doing, perhaps climbing a tree when they shouldn’t be, could very well result in injury and a trip to the hospital. If Sychyov's advice is ignored, he shall resort to radioing for help from other fellow co-workers or even the Senior Leadership Team. When the situation is dealt with, Samuil willingly reports the co-worker’s inappropriate behavior to the Senior Leadership Team, hoping for a quick correction on the co-workers part.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?: Recalling his time as a professor, he often finds himself in the break room just to grab a coffee and interact with any new hires; oftentimes offering assistance with classes, students, et cetera. Samuil knows the coffee machine like the back of his hand; bitter coffee being the male’s only friend majority of the time. Samuil is a calm individual, the coffee doing nothing to this man’s steel nerves, speaking politely if spoken too. Otherwise, he’s in the corner, still as a statue taking a much needed break until he is needed elsewhere.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me took long strides down the hall, the psychopath paying no mind to those without the need of assistance. As he reached his destination, the silent footfalls would stop, the sound of keys jingling could be heard as the male opened the door to the room; the janitor's closet. It smelled of old mop water and the must of a clogged air vent filter, however the Sychyov didn’t mind at all; in fact he barely noticed it. Samuil continued into the room, flicking the lightswitch to his left, the lights of the room blinked a few times before finally powering up fully. The irritating buzz of the light grabbed his attention quickly, “how irritating,” he breathed out, tone as cold as ice. Samuil got to work, rolled up the sleeves of his work attire and crossed the room to the cupboard and fetched a pair of gloves. Slipping them on, the Sychyov began with cleaning out the old mop and bucket, ringing out any dirt and scrubbing the tools clean of debris. After that, he worked on the filters, turning to the wall and reaching above his head. Thankfully, standing at 7 feet tall, the vent wasn’t too high up for him to grab. Samuil dusted out the vent with a brush over the trash can, making sure to clean up any dust that escaped the clutches of the metallic bin. After returning the filter to its rightful spot in the wall vent, the room had already begun to smell better. Eyes of frost shifted to the light, which flickered every now and then. Another irritated sigh left the psychopath, because of course the buzzing of the light got on his nerves. After turning the power off and using a step ladder, the 7 footer stepped up to the first step, not needing to go any higher as he reached above him and tightened the lightbulb in order to cease its flickering and incessant buzzing. After everything was done and cleaned, Samuil would dispose of his gloves, dusting off his hands as he looked over the somewhat freshened up janitor's closet. Breathing out a sigh of relief, coolly he’d say, “I much prefer this. . .” Not a bad first day on the job, he’d think.

/me with silent footfalls would approach the next room on his trip through the school; the boiler room. Inside, he was aware of the uncanny effect the room had on others, even including himself. For being as detached as he is, he could never shake the feeling of being watched while inside, muttering out a hesitant, “hello?” Perhaps this feeling simply reminded the psychopath is indeed human, and not a monster of a man. Despite the disrepair it appeared in, whereas one wouldn’t be able to look away, Samuil kept his focus on the CCTV room. Earlier, he had heard his radio blip out of nowhere requesting CCTV footage be checked from another faculty member unable to check themselves. The Sychyov closed the door to the camera room behind him, though the feeling of being observed never left him. After various whirring, buzzing and clicks, the computer system awoke from its slumber. Samuil navigated the mouse to the correct camera, and with a click of mouse button one, he’d be rewinding, forwarding, pausing and playing the tape in order to gather evidence of whatever situation had happened that he had been requested to check CCTV for in the first place. After observing the cams, he would forward any information he could to the requesting employee, even if it was nothing at all. No news is still news, if you ask him. Potentially upsetting news, but nonetheless. As he awaited a response, the psychopath would be diligently checking his nails like the diva he is; nails trimmed and coated in a chipped, black nail polish. Once informed via radio, Samuil would leave the computer system as it is and leave the room. Upon leaving the room, the feeling of being watched would finally leave him, as he began walking to his next destination.

/me approached his third destination, the break room. Ducking his head in order to step inside the room, the statuesque male would make a slow and quiet b-line to the coffee machine. If the bags under his eyes weren’t evident enough, the grandpa was incredibly tired. However, he’s not as tired as he used to be, having spent many nights awake grading homeworks, lesson planning and making time to spend with his family. The sleep he was getting lately was a new record! Either way, Samuil started up his old friend the coffee machine, and began to brew a coffee, just to drown ice cubes in it to make an iced coffee. Of course, the coldhearted man enjoyed cold food and drinks! Retreating a step, the Sychyov would park it in a chair, bringing the rim of the lidless cup to his lips and take a gentle sip; being overly cautious not to make any sipping sounds. Another irritant of his; drinking and chewing noises. . .

IC information (1).png

In-Character Section

(Pretend your character is filling this out, not you)

Full Name (First & Last only)
:
Entering the office, the tall Russian would calmly cross the room to the desk. Samuil wore a black, tailored-to-him suit and tie, with gold lace detailing in the tie itself. Of course, Samuil had to wear some gold on him, no matter how over the top it may seem for an interview! “Good morning, sir. I appreciate you having me.” Samuil would continue in his icy monotone, “my name is Samuil Sychyov, and I’m here interviewing for the caretaker position.”

Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss):
Crossing one leg over the other and resting his hands in his lap, the psychopath nodded upon receiving the next question. Honestly, he had to think about it for a moment. He was used to being called Mr. Sychyov or Professor Sychyov, but now. . .Now, those titles hold little to no value to him. However, he chose the sole title befitting him in this position, “Mr. Sychyov is fine. I am unmarried.” Though, he wasn’t away if that last comment was even necessary.

Preferred Name:
“My preferred name is simply Samuil,” he paused for a moment, recalling how previous coworkers would call him nicknames; how irritating, he’d think before elaborating, “and if I may request, I do not like nor appreciate any nicknames, no matter how innocent the intention.” Blame his apprehensiveness on the man's ex-wife.

Age (Minimum is 25):
Clearing his throat, a hue of embarrassed rose crossed his features. Indeed, the male was considered a bit on the older side for this position, but he reminded himself his age is potentially a show of his wisdom. “I’m 42 years old, currently. My birthday is November 7th, 1984.” He even brought his birth certificate as proof; though it was written in Russian and stamped with the city of Moscow.

Gender:
Quite bluntly he responded to this question, “I am male. Born and raised a male.” Upon looking close enough, the male’s features would be inherently that; sharp, defined, and a bit rigid due to age.

Academic Degree:
The Sychyov nodded, retrieving a document from his jacket as proof of his academic endeavors, “I have a bachelor's degree in literature from Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow.” There appeared to be a hint of passion in his otherwise icy tone as he spoke about his home country and city.

Major(s):
“I majored in Education and literature, so I am aware of how to handle students in multiple situations. I previously worked here as a professor,” Samuil elaborated, though he didn’t seem quite enamored about it.

Minors:
The hint of passion from before returned to his frozen tone of voice, “I minored in fashion design.” Whoa! That was straight out of left field for the man. “I don’t particularly share this bit of my education endeavors due to it not benefiting me throughout my life. It’s a hobby of mine.” A hobby he could probably do something with if he truly put his mind to it. Though, it does make a good conversation topic.

Nationality:
Samuil fanned himself in the face, though it didn’t look like his pale skin had changed in any color, “I was born and raised Russian. The outskirts of Moscow.” Back to the monotone, his voice was, hand returning to rest in his lap.

Known Languages:
“Russkiy.” Samuil answered quite promptly, though he cleared his throat, and in a more polite tone and less accent, he said, “Russian. I am fluent in Russian and Japanese.” He had to have learned Japanese before moving here, and by the sounds of it, it was as fluent as his Russian.

Backstory

samuil namemc.png
Old Man Winter’s frigid morning breeze rustled through the frost laden trees, the leaves singing together like chimes. The city was foggy and quiet, with only the cry of a mother giving birth ringing through. The newborn that followed made no such noises, in fact he was as silent as a corpse. The newborn baby, named Samuil Sychov, was not suffering in any sort of way, his pulse was normal, he wasn’t struggling to breathe, he wasn’t cold enough to require warming; he was simply quiet.

All throughout his life, Samuil had been a quiet man, not one to speak much, only when spoken to. You wouldn’t expect the kind of man he was to end up as a professor teaching college students Creative Writing at Karakura College. Skipping over the agonizing marriage he suffered through while working at the college, he quite enjoyed his job for the most part. His lessons, his students, even some of his co-workers; the psychopath dared to admit he enjoyed his job despite the stress it had caused him. Samuil had learned much on how to blend in with society, becoming quite acquainted with socializing with others, able to put on a mask and effortlessly exist without being stereotyped as a monster due to his mindset.

Upon leaving, there was a subtle ache in the bottom of his heart, a feeling he had never felt in his lifetime. Not even when his mother was institutionalized, not when he divorced the mother of his current only child, Mayu, not even when he had to leave his firstborn child behind in Moscow.

While he stood outside the gates, phone buzzing with texts from his children, his mind wandered, eyes flickering to the towering structure of the school. . . Samuil knew in the back of his mind, he couldn’t remain jobless forever. In order to support and care for his children as a single father, the Sychyov needed a source of income. So, while the school day finished up, the ex-professor sent in his application for caretaker, making sure everything was spelt correctly and laid neatly across the modern papyrus.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective): Samuil nodded along to the interviewer's question, eyes flickering down to the desk as he fished for the correct words. His children came to mind. . . Mayu, Eliza, Ali, Santiago and even more of their faces flashed in his mind. Samuil's sole purpose for re-joining Karakura High School as a caretaker was in order to support his family, his children. In order to keep a roof over their heads, food in their bellies and clothes on their back, the father needed a source of income. . . “I have several daughters, and less than a handful of sons. While everyone pitches in to support this family, I am the one solely responsible for them all. It would be neglectful of me to leave them to fend for themselves.” What kind of normal person, a father no less, leaves his children to fend for themselves? That’s what Samuil tells himself as he goes through this interview, his frosted gaze rising to meet the interviewers once more.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: Clearing his throat once more, the psychopath answered the last question with a hint of confidence in his tone, his eyes focused on the interviewer. “I believe my previous experience as a professor will prove to be quite beneficial when handling my duties as a caretaker. For example, when separating students in fights, helping students and faculty with their requests, assisting other faculty through the radio,, even attending detention.” During his time as professor, he felt as if he had a bit of everything aside from Senior Leadership duties. Samuil put on a light smile—shockingly enough—and politely bowed his head to the interviewer, “thank you very much for having me today.” The Sychyov thanked the other as he rose from his chair and bowed forward politely. “Have a wonderful rest of your day.” Samuil waved as he turned and left the room.

I deeply apologize if the format messes up, for some reason it bolds everything despite me saving it with only questions bolded.
