Describe your activity and roleplay experience on the server:
I would consider myself a very active player! I joined SRP roughly four years ago, though taking a year long break in 2024 to focus on school; returning eventually full-time in 2025 and have been consistently active since. I am online from anywhere from 3 to 10 hours a day, usually averaging 4 to 7 throughout the day.

My roleplay experiences vary in genre of what you can find on SRP however my primary focus is family-orientated roleplay. Most of my characters belong to known or lesser known ones on SRP or spend a significant amount of time with those people, friends or partners.

Recently, on July 20th I was given the Club-Leader role for the performing arts club. Which, I have been thoroughly enjoying with so much to do such as; Planning events that are club wide, and server wide, hosting meetings and meeting so many people. Another part of that is how many friends and people I can meet. I love hanging out with friends if not making new ones.

I also have experience in the criminal side of SRP across some known characters depending on who you ask. My most notable are; Marella Doan-Stark, Tuyet Minh On, and Aurelia Deryn. Aurelia and Tuyet were used in my times of smaller distinct groups over the years and now Marella leads a roleplay-focused gang called The Eye of Vor. Additionally, another character of mine has taken over as the head of the Kaizen family in Karakura due to supposed government corruption of her uncle, Ji Kaizen. Experiencing such vast dynamics has inspired me to expand my roleplay journey even further.
Now, pushing myself to experience the employee side of SRP and my first faction which would also give me my first ever adult character.

In your own words, why do you think professors are important to SchoolRP?

I believe professors are currently one of the most fundamental parts of SchoolRP, due to the main genre of the server surrounding education, and school, making its academics a huge pillar of the community. Without players taking the role of professor to provide engaging, interactive and creative lessons for others with the college tag that's achievable would not have much to do or have purpose on the server; In my opinion, Professors help bridge the gap between students and staff, fostering positive relationships with both parties and fellow faculty members both in character and out of character while keeping the academic environment active, immersive, fun and worth exploring.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you may face demotion or removal from the faction?

Yes! I completely understand this.

Do you understand if your application is accepted, you may have to undergo professor training?:

Yes, training would actually be preferable for me.

In-Character Information

What's your character's full name?

Silence filled the room for a moment as the woman blankly stared at the interviewer, blinking a few times before suddenly snapping out of her trance. “My name is Cosette Kaizen-Stark.” She paused, as if remembering exactly where she was, and what she was doing. Straightening her posture, and smoothing down her clothing, Cosette seamlessly transitioned into a professional demeanor. “The current family head to the Kaizen household in Karakura.” Perhaps her exhaustion had chosen today of all days to finally catch up with her, but she wasn't going to let that hold her back from her goal.

Age (Minimum is 27):

Nerves however.. Those would shine through regardless. This was an easy question.. Mentally, she cursed herself for having to think about the answer at all. “Let’s see.. My birthday was in February.. So that would make me uhm.. Twenty Seven? I think..” Clearing her throat, Cosette restated her answer, much more confident this time. “Yes. I am currently twenty-seven years of age, my birthday falling in early February.”

Nationality:

Figuring out the flow of things, this part went by smoothly. The woman kept her voice even and firm. “I am French-Russian actually! I was born in France, but I’ve lived all around the globe before moving to Karakura when I was sixteen.” This seemed to be something she was proud of, having seen the world for herself.

Preferred Subject:

This question, Cosette was actually eager to answer. She had given this a lot of thought in the past few years. “I really would prefer to teach Forensic Sciences.” Elaborating further, she recalled what exactly had sparked this interest in her. “A while back I did an internship at the Karakura hospital which really solidified taking a scientific path. The more technical parts really caught my eye. Things like blood testing.” The woman would never forget her time with her internship there. If not for the sewer collapse, then for the bonds she made in that time.

Describe the character: How do they look and act? What makes them unique and different?

1791624560308.png

Cosette is typically a very well put together person. Her professional identity means a great deal to her and she would not want to ruin it. Every day the woman makes sure her slightly curled blonde hair is perfectly out of her way in a loose bun. Floral glasses adorn her face with a red-ruby necklace to accessorize. Cosette tends to keep her makeup light, opting for foundation, lip gloss, and mascara. Heaven forbid anyone saw the bags under her eyes, or the way her hair slightly falls out of place after sleepless nights planning and caring for her children.

Wardrobe wise, she usually dresses in business casual attire. Nothing too fancy, and nothing too lax. As seen in her picture, her favorite outfit to wear is a simple plaid blouse with white pants. A gift from her dear friend Dae Lonii.

How does Cosette act? In a work setting, she tries her best to be formal and graceful. She keeps her words shorter and polite, making sure to not overstep her bounds with anyone present. Always very aware of who she is speaking to and where they fall in the hierarchy of things.

With her friends however, the woman is more laid back. Specifically with her brother, who is also a professor at the school, Volya Doan-Stark. Or her uncle, Aleksander Kaizen. In this case, she does not mind her words as much, being comfortable with showing a bit more of her true self.

Speaking of true self, Cosette is a wildly loyal individual. She would never dream of betraying someone’s trust. It often is one of her greatest fears, feeling as if she had betrayed someone. Along with this, she is also very motherly. Having now two small children, a sense of care and protection comes more naturally to her. Furthermore, Cosette despises lying. She hates lying to others and she hates being lied to. She is a very big believer of ‘Hurt me with a lie, but never comfort me with the truth’. Lies are a very tricky thing in her opinion, one small lie can spread and become an entire ordeal. Which is ironic, considering how her put-together demeanor is usually a facade for her busy, restless life.

What are their plans for the future? Optionally, what is their past?

Cosette has one main goal for the future. Make sure her children grow up in a safe and stable environment. Being a mother, she often puts the needs of her children above her own. Her goals in life are not exempt from this. Her children are her motivation for everything in her life. They are why she decided to begin working at Daini no ie, eventually working her way up to becoming a manager, and why she had started at Umisachi when she was 20, nearly 21.

Her past was deeply riddled with sorrow, which is perhaps why loyalty meant everything to her. Moving to Karakura at only sixteen years old, Cosette knew she needed to make friends fast in order to survive on her own. Thus, she built a circle but little did she know how fleeting it would be. Clashing personalities, and arguments that were too frequent soon tore the group apart. As everyone went their separate ways from fallout, Cosette learned a vital lesson. The importance of truly knowing people before holding them close.

As time passed, the older teen eventually built meaningful relationships, ones that would become important, lasting and deep. Meeting her brother, Volya, meeting Dae Lonii and the man who she would call her husband yet all good things sometimes come to end.

A tragedy struck Cosette, one that would weigh on her shoulders heavier than anything before; Her husband was murdered, leaving a twenty-year old Cosette behind with a newborn daughter, Chloe. In the aftermath, almost everyone from her life except her closest circle vanished.

Still, time pressed on. As her wounds slowly healed, Cosette found solace in striving for a sense of normalcy, she worked tirelessly to provide for her daughter and herself, with Volya stepping in to watch her daughter whenever Cosette had to work, or be at school. Her dedication eventually paid off, she earned manager position at a tea store just around the corner of Shotengai, Daini no ie, while at school she pursued trauma medicine and studied forensic sciences under the former professor during his time at the college but now she strives to teach those younger how to preserve a life, if not save it.

What is their outlook on students and their co-workers?

At first, students and co-workers would be just that. Students and co-workers in a professional environment. However, as time goes on, Cosette may become more fond of both. Co-workers will become friends, those who she can lean to for help if she ever needs it, and who can lean on her all the same. And students may become children to her. Kids she would protect at the cost of her own life. Afterall, she wants only the best for them all. For them to have a brighter future than the criminal fate that befalls most of the youth in karakura.

What is their motivation for becoming a professor?:

Cosette’s motivation for becoming a professor wasn't as straightforward as it might have been for other people. This was not her first choice in career, and it was not what she ever expected in her own days as a student. At first, Cosette had wanted to become a doctor, similarly to her brother in law, Felix J.R. Stark. However, in more recent years, that shifted. She didn’t believe she could make a career out of seeing people consistently wounded and in pain. So, she would teach people instead. Justice was never received for her husband, a murderer never found. But Cosette believed that maybe, just maybe she could help shape the next set of doctors and officers. Ones who would identify what had happened to people. To be both empathetic and sympathetic to those around them who are experiencing the unthinkable. To be able to bring justice for people who had suffered like she had in the past.

Roleplay Scenarios

A jock is ignoring your lesson and throwing paper balls at another student, what would your character do?

Cosette gave more thought to this question. She never really was one for hypotheticals. However she agreed that this was a likely scenario to happen. “Well.. at first I would give them a clear warning. That is not to be accepted within my classroom.” Letting out a small hum she continued. “After the warning, if the behavior continues, I would hand out a detention slip. And then, finally, still if it does not cease, they would be promptly removed from my classroom. I do not want them to take away from valuable learning time other students are properly utilizing.”

A student doesn’t seem to understand the material, yet hasn’t requested help, what would your character do?

Now this question piqued the young woman’s interest. She had been there before. Desperately needing help, but not being able to find the courage within herself to ask. So, Cosette replied with what she wishes would have been done for herself. “I would ask the student to meet me after class, in the room away from other people. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible, instead of embarrassed. Then, I’d ask if there’s any specific parts that weren't quite connecting in their brain, making sure to spend extra time going over it. Furthermore, If they need help beyond that, I would do my best to connect them with a tutor fitting the subject’s needs.” Continuing, she added a small bit at the end. “I believe that a teacher is not only measured in what they teach, but also by the student’s ability to retain that information. If my students aren’t learning, then I am clearly doing something incorrect.”

When in the faculty lounge, how does your character act?

To Cosette, the faculty lounge would serve as a short reprieve from the chaos of the school throughout the day. Obviously she wouldn’t linger in there for very long, just short moments when she needs a breather. Inside the lounge, she would be more relaxed, with less eyes on her. Knowing only her co-workers were allowed within the room would make it a great deal less stressful. Cosette loves her job but sometimes it can be a lot in larger situations. Of course, while in the lounge she would keep her voice down, unless engaging in larger conversation, making sure to remain polite to anybody else occupying the space.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas and one field trip idea related to your subject

Class 1:

In this class, students would pair up. I would have one person pretend to be dead, and the other person be the ‘examiner’. All I would tell the ‘dead’ student was their cause and time of death. The ‘examiner’ student would say actions like “I examine for any wounds to the head” and then the ‘dead’ student would state what they find, if anything. This way it is up to the ‘dead’ student to know what signs there would be for their cause of death, and up to the ‘examiner’ student to be able to read those signs to determine the cause and time. I would also give the ‘examiner’ a book to write down their findings and questions. This way I could see the student’s thought processes on the steps they took. Homework for this class would be questions surrounding the conclusion they came to, and how they came to it. Similar to what would be in the book.

Class 2:

This class could be a joint class, collaborating with a law class. Part of forensics is being able to properly present evidence in a court of law, if you are ever called upon to do so. In this class, there would be a mock court, or mini moot court, where the law students would fill various roles within the case, the forensics students would act as forensic scientists presenting evidence, and the teachers would be judges. Homework for this class would involve a rundown of the cases, as well as a self-reflection on the students' part for what they think they did well and what they think they can improve on.

Field trip:

A field trip could very well include a trip to the Karakura Hospital itself! I would have students go in, and observe how EMS workers handle blood left on weapons, or on varying surfaces. They would learn how the blood samples are identified, and what to do with the information from there, making sure the proper steps are taken. Students would be able to ask questions about the process, and maybe even participate in a simulation at the end. Homework for this would simply be what they enjoyed from the trip, and something they found interesting while there, or something new they learned.
