The Heartbreaking Story of The Yamatasha's
Chapter 1: Birth
Our story starts in Surrey, England, with the birth of the twins; Felicity Hughes and Ben Hughes. Growing up, Ben and Felicity had always been quite independent. Their mother was a free-spirited lady that had travelled long before they were born. However, once having the twins, she slowly became ill. Born into a family where their mother had been in and out of hospital each day, it was difficult to not be independent. Their father? He fled when they were born after choosing his career in music over the twins. They were as British as they could get, Felicity would often make their meals, take Ben to school and deal with the hardships that come along with it.Chapter 1: Birth
Ben was a huge fan of football, playing football with some kids after school, Felicity on the other hand would be over making sand castles in the sand pit next to the pitch. They did everything together, they were twins after all.
One fateful day however, after Felicity and Ben Hughes returned home from school, they were not met by their mother, but by a Social Worker standing silently in their living room. From that moment on, their life had changed for the worst. After receiving news that their mother didn't make it back from the hospital this time, Ben and Felicity Hughes were put up for adoption.
Chapter 2: Adoption
At just 11 years old, Ben and Felicity ended up packing their bags and moving, bouncing from home to home, each placement just temporary, each family unwilling to take them in permanently as their own. With every move, their sense of security had slowly faded, Ben not knowing where his next bed would be, Felicity not knowing when their next meal would be. Ben developed deep trust issues, learning from just 11 years old, that people leave or disappoint. He struggled to make friendships, holding on to any sense of security or new friend they had.. Felicity however, became fiercely protective, not only of herself, but of her brother too, determined that they were the only ones they could truly trust.
Amongst the chaos of moving families, they soon discovered something about their mothers past that would change everything. Alice Huges, their mother had been a woman who loved adventure, a woman that travelled the world and made friends across continents! One of those friends was Abuella Yamatasha, who she had once met in a small Japanese town, Karakura. Desperate to find them a stable home as they grew up, their social worker had gotten in contact with Abuella, and she, recognising the twins from her past friend, took them in immediately with open arms.
Chapter 3: The Move
Felicity, was untrusting at first, but excited for the move. Ben on the other hand, was terrified of leaving everything he had known behind.. He was British- He had memories here, and Harribo's!
Abuella Yamatasha, left no time to file the adoption papers though, attempting at rebuilding their trust and giving them the security that they so needed. Soon after, Ben and Felicity Hughes, changed their name to Ben and Felicity Yamatasha. It was here, under the new care of Abuella, that Ben and Felicity had started to both rebuild their life once more, carrying the weight of their past but slowly learning to trust again and love again.
Felicity was not used to being taken care of, she was unsure as to what to do with herself, as Abuella fed them, bought them clothes, gifts and handled any issues between them. It was a big change for her. As time moved on, the twins both started to trust Abuella more and more, with each lesson she'd teach them, they finally had time to become kids again.
Over time, the twins started to trust Abuella more, taking her word for everything as bible. She had once told them that if they told a lie, a flying Killer Whale would come and chase them down and eat them whole! Ben and Felicity from this day forward have been terrified of the killer whale, not telling any lies in case they would be hunted down by such a beast.
Abuella was a lovely woman, but she had strict rules. There were certain things that the Twins could and couldn't do;
Abuella's 5 Main Rules:
- No Lying; if you are to tell a lie, the flying killer whale will hunt you down and eat you.- No Dating until You are 90; you cannot date until you are mature enough to know what you want, plus, all the best options are about when you turn 90!
- No Drinking; Alcohol is the devil, if you drink it you are selling your soul.
- No Swearing; swearing is forbidden in the Yamatasha household! If Abuella catches you swearing, she will swipe your legs.
- No Mopping without a Mop License; it is not legal to hold a mop or use it without a mop license, to get one, you must attend Abuella's weekly mop classes, which cost around ¥750,000 an hour.
Chapter 4: Life With Abuella
Life with Abuella Yamatasha was good. They'd often do family board games, a little bit of scrabble here and there and a fun game of Abuella's Special Hide and Seek! This game was focused on Abuella crawling around after them, chasing them and swiping their legs if they got caught. It was one of Ben and Felicity's favourite games to play with Abuella! They'd have family dinners every night, catch up on how their days were and she'd have them in bed by 8pm, Abuella's rules!
It was a big difference to the life they were living before, they knew their mother would be happy they had finally found a forever family. Ben, Felicity and Abuella, a bond so strong that nothing could come between them. They would even get an extra special Vitamin salad on Friday nights if they were good. What's a vitamin salad? Oh- right! That's a salad made with lots of different vitamins shoved in it, it was an exquisite meal!
As time went on, so did their lives. They had endless fun, learning to trust that this was a stable home for them both, finally. However, their board game nights slowly come to an end when Felicity Yamatasha caught Abuella cheating as banker and threw the board up in the air in rage. Ever since then, Monopoly has been banned in the Yamatasha household. No Monopoly boards, no mentioning Monopoly, and absolutely, never any playing of it. Due to this reason, Ben decided they should create their own game.. Dragonopoly with a Pigeon and Ladders! It was their favourite new game to play, with no cheating and no board flipping.
The Yamatasha's had a house pet called Dorrice, unfortunately though, Dorrice had passed on after jumping off a mountain during the Yamatasha's hikes. No fear though! Abuella bought them a new dog and named it Dorrice 2.0! Dorrice 2.0 was a beloved pet in the Yamatasha household, a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier. Dorrice 2.0 was the twins' favourite! However, one fateful day after they had left their doors unlocked to go on a picnic- Mean Maureen, the meanest neighbour of them all had swooped in and STOLE Dorrice 2.0 from the house.. Ever since then, Mean Maureen is on the Twins' bad list. She constantly lies about having Dorrice 2.0, even though they KNOW she has her.
Mean Maureen and Dodgy Darren live next door, they have always been enemies of the Yamatasha's. They were a 70 year old couple that could not keep the noise down, they would constantly be hosting house parties and blasting music. Abuella called them out on it once and ever since then, they have been mortal enemies.
Dodgy Darren had once even sold the Yamatasha's a brand new board game to play, until they sat down to play it and realised it was a Ouija Board.. So, Abuella naturally retaliated by shaving off Dodgy Dave's hair, his hair has not grown back since. Poor Dodgy Dave.
Chapter 5: New School
Abuella Yamatasha, was a cleaner at Karakura High School, meaning they had been enrolled almost immediately into the new school. They both grew slightly nervous of starting a new school, especially in a place that they didn't know.. However, the anxiety soon faded as the excitement of making new friends came along! After growing up with relationships and friendships being pulled from under them, their main goal in life was to make stable relationships with others. They had a fixation on finding their friends, often seen walking up to random people and attempting to befriend them.
At first, they got pushed away a lot. Many said they were "too much" or "weird", this broke Ben for a little while, he believed he didn't have the capability of making friends due to this.. Felicity, was more determined than ever. The intensity of them wanting to make friends had made others shy away. It was difficult, new school and no friends.
Defeated by a whole day of being alone, Ben and Felicity had start to walk home from School- When they had overheard someone talking about a party. This was it! This was their chance at making friends, a party, of course! They listened in for the details before getting ready to attend, they didn't need an invite, they would just show up and socialise. It was at that party, that they met their Best Friend, Shin Z. Akiyama.
They saw a dark haired boy standing in the corner of the room, not socialising with anyone.. They instantly took the opportunity to go and talk to him. The boy was quiet, it was more Ben and Felicity talking at him, he didn't say much, but the twins had already classed him as their best friend. They ended up dragging him along to the beach and skipping the party, exploring more of the Town with their new best friend, Shin! He followed along, not saying much still.
As time went on, they begun to hang out more, camping in the woods, attending classes together, exploring the city, and more! This was the start to their new friendship.
Chapter 6: Baseball Team
As he walked away however, he ended up getting called back by the captain and offered a position! They just LOVED his Bunny Slippers that he wore. From this moment on, Ben Yamatasha was a baseball player, it was a new era for him, he just knew he was going to make the bestest of friends.
However, as time went on, the baseball team was not too much to his liking.. Constant practices on a sport he had no idea about, the other members shoving other students' heads in toilets, none of this was Ben Yamatasha's cup of tea. His Abuella ended up catching on to all of this, and pulled Ben out of the team immediately! Abuella was very upset that Ben had been involved in such behaviours. She had called him a "Wannabe Thug" and said that if it was to ever happen again, the Killer Whale would hunt him down and swallow him whole. This was very upsetting to Ben, as in Abuella's words; Ben Yamatasha was a lover, not a fighter.
Chapter 7: New Friends
When Felicity had noticed a girl standing outside the gates on her phone. She rushed over taking one more chance to make a friend, dragging Ben behind. This girl, was known as Hye-Ri Fujii, a cool dark haired girl with bright red nail polish. They instantly hit it off, later meeting a Basketballer by the name of Eloi, forming a group of 4 friends.
They did everything together! Finally, Ben and Felicity had stability in life at this point, they were starting to realise that not everyone leaves, some good ones stick around. Eloi, Hye-Ri, Ben and Felicity attended dances together, tried out for teams together, even dyed a wig together.. They were a close group of friends.
At a certain point in time, Ben, Hye-Ri, Eloi and Felicity joined up with some others to even start a band, after Ben pointed out they should when they all played an instrument! Ben played the triangle, so he was pretty experienced in the music area..
Chapter 8: The Black Death
One fateful day however, Ben coughs in the morning.. He never coughs? What was this all about?? The timing wasn't great either because Abuella and Felicity were out the house.. Ben wasn't sure how this had happened, he always ate his vitamins and even asked for extra vitamins occasionally on his Vitamin salad! He quickly sprinted towards his phone to do what anyone in this situation would do.. Google his symptoms! He comes across a page however, that told him, it was no common cold.. IT WAS THE BLACK DEATH.
Yes, you heard that right. Ben Yamatasha had gotten The Black Death! What a catastrophe this was! He rushed himself to the hospital, seeing countless doctors, none would confirm his symptoms, they had told him time and time again it was just a common cold- BUT- GOOGLE SAID IT WAS THE BLACK DEATH! He ended up rushing into hospital for the seventh time when he met a very old man, named Katsuhito Akihito-Saiky and the Hospital Dictator himself, Rokku Heddo. They both rushed him off to a checkup room, but little did Ben know, this very, very, very old man, had alternative motives- He wanted to CHAINSAW BENS HEAD OFF! Ben sat there in the hospital bed, screaming, not knowing what to do in a situation like this.. Was he going to DIE?
The old man raised the chainsaw above his head, as the Hospital Dictator just sat and watched- Ben's life slowly flashed before his eyes.. Each home he had been taken to, each friend he failed to make, then the brighter parts- The friends he made, the fun games they had played, the time he started a band.. He was not ready to die yet.. This was only the beginning of his life-
Luckily, right before the OLD MAN put the chainsaw close to his head, ready to chop it off, a Doctor, a HERO, by the name of Felix J. R. Stark rushed in and dragged Ben Yamatasha out. Ben was finally saved, he ran for his life back home, thanking the Doctor- the HERO, on his exit. Thank god, that was a close one.. That was nearly the end, of Ben Yamatasha as we know it.
Chapter 9: Moving House
The Yamatasha's were glad to finally be away from Mean Maureen and Dodgy Dave. No longer would their pets be stolen or find random hate notes lay around their house. However, little did they know that their new neighbour was the Brown family. At first, this was great, another British family living next door, they would soon find out that this was not all sunshines and daisy's as the Brown Family started screaming and swearing at the top of their lungs in this house. Abuella was not happy, after all, this was a No Swearing household. Would this bring a new rivalry to the Yamatasha's? Only time would tell..
This is all for now, there are countless moments I could not include because of the picture limit, so I will update it eventually and find a way around it :(
