Describe your activity on the server:
I've been playing SRP since late 2017, of course with on and off periods. Then I was roughly nine years old so you could imagine I wasn't up to anything incredible. I didn't start actively engaging in the community till mid-2020, mainly due to COVID. Back then I was involved in Gangrp and the tailoring community, which are two things I still take part in today. Just previously, perhaps six months or so, I was in the teacher faction for roughly three months, until eventually quitting to pursue JockRP. After that I proceeded to join football for a few months, which I ultimately had to leave due to technological issues and pursuit of other things. One of which being the reporter faction, my application in which currently being on pending. Just in general, my free time on the server is spent mainly indulging in detailRP, playing with the sport plugins, or messing around with friends.
QUESTIONS
What are your goals and aspirations for being on the build team?:
My personal goal for being on the build team is growth in my own skill set and adding upon my portfolio. Admittedly, I've been building for a very longtime, but a lot of which isn't well documented. Alongside the fact I've only recently gotten back into building. There was a long while I was involved with all sort of RP's as a builder, but a few years ago life hit me and that ended up fizzling out. I never bothered to get back into it until about a few months ago. I've met the builders on the team alongside seeing their builds, and I believe that there are things I can learn from the other builders, alongside learning on my own as I continue with my journey.
I do genuinely enjoying building, interior, exterior, terraforming.. so on and so forth, especially for other people. The majority of the times I've built were for other people, may that be my own community or other communities. It take pride in making something usable, something other players can use as a catalyst for their own imaginations, as well as creating and environment and an aesthetic. My main focus with building is almost always "How would other players use this? Is this practical?" and that is something that is especially asked in city creation, something I excell in as my build style is more on the modern side.
What are your strong suits as a builder? (Interior, Structure, Organics, etc):
Interiors are worst thing for me. I can build interiors just fine, I can do layouts, don't get me wrong. I just dislike doing them, they're hard for me. I somehow always struggle with making them look right in my eyes, even when some people may say it looks okay. I would say I'm decent at them though.
Exteriors are one my favorite things to build, especially off of references. I'd say this is likely the subject I'm best at when building, it takes me roughly a few hours per build with world edit.
Terra-forming is all time favorite. Its what I started with as a builder, and I think that is why I hold it so dear. There are things I could improve on in this subject, but I do think I'm decent at it.
In terms of organics, I relate that to exteriors sort of? They're just another form of structures to me much like buildings, I can do pratically anything with a good reference.
Do you have any experience working in a team?:
Yes! I've been working on build teams for a very, very long time for other peoples RP's or servers. Especially when I was younger. Alongside that, I've also been on teams on the server such a faculty and football. My main thing when it comes to working within a build team is communication from the lead. What is it that you want? The style? What is it that you want me to change or add to the build? Just to avoid mishaps or anytime being wasted. As of current times, I haven't been involved with any major build team in roughly four years besides a small one right now.
Do you have decent knowledge of the SRP build style?:
I'd say so. I would like to think my current style is inspired by the builds on the server, especially with how much time I've spent on it. Though, I have definitely added my own unique flare to builds and the way I do things. You can see more in the images below.
