Describe your activity on the server:
I am fairly active on the server, having a schedule with a max of three classes from Tuesday to Friday. I spend my free time playing on srp.
I have a block schedule, meaning I have set classes, on set days. This semester Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are my longest days. However, sometimes if I’m feeling like it I will take my lunch breaks on those days (12:15-13:00) to play.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
Roleplaying in general has always been a part of my life, from roleplaying out scenes with my best-friend as a child to moving to roleplays on roblox. Though I never really got into it until I joined SRP nearly a year ago in April. I started off doing random RomanceRp. I came across and then I started to FamilyRp, as of lately I’ve gotten really into DetailRp, quickly falling in love with it.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying is to get out of my comfort zone. I’m a very anti-social person who second guesses themselves a lot, I’m hoping this will help me step out of that and face my fears. Despite my love for roleplaying I tend to pull myself out of them to avoid doing something wrong, and I don’t want to do that anymore, and I can’t do that unless I have a reason to. Having an actual responsibility on the server will give me a reason to push myself, focusing more on the fun of it than what I’m doing wrong.
Which role are you applying for?
Psychiatrist
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
I don't know all that much about the hospital or it's roles but I have a small very basic concept of some roles.
Hospital Director | overseas the entire hospital, making sure it runs smoothly and meets everyone's needs.
Chiefs/Clinical leads | overseas a specific department. (Emergency, Doctor, and Psychiatrist Departments.)
Paramedics | These are apart of the Emergency Department, they are the ones allowed to go out when someone calls 110.
paramedic trainee | Doctors or Psychiatrists that got accepted to be a paramedic, as a trainee they require supervision and may not know everything.
Attending Doctors/Psychiatrist | these people have completed all their training and no longer need supervision.
Doctor/Psychiatrist Residents | These people are not trainees nor attendings, They have finished their training period but are still not expected to know everything or have the experience as an Attending.
Doctor/psychiatrist trainees | Doctors and Psychiatrist who are still in their training period, may or may not be new to the EMS faction altogether.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes.

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS
Character’s Full Name:
The woman before you sat in the chair stiffly, making a creepy amount of direct eye contact and not enough smiling, she cleared her throat before speaking, “My name is Keiko Ishikawa,” She stated, crossing one leg over the other, her hands clasping on top of her lap.
Character’s Gender and Pronouns:
She blinked for a moment, as if having to process if it was an actual question.. “I am a woman.. I go by she and her,” despite the blank look on her face, it was obvious she was more confused than anything.. Did she not look like a woman? Perhaps she was thinking too hard about it.
Character’s Age (if accepted):
Keeping direct eye contact she replied, “I am 39,” the words left her mouth a bit too quickly, as if she had prepared all her answers. Her eyes finally trailed from the unsettling amount of eye contact, grasping the person’s body language before returning back to their eyes.
Character’s Academic Background:
(Grade-12/Bachelor/Masters/PhD)
Keiko pulled out a beige folder from her purse, setting it onto the desk and opening it pulling out paper documents and certifications, “I graduated high school at Waseda University Junior and Senior Highschool as one of the top students, after graduating I moved to attend Osaka university for eight years, getting a Bachelors in medicine and a masters in Psychology, then finally I attended Tokyo University for five years to get a Doctorate in Psychology.” The woman spoke confidently, only breaking contact to look and show the person the papers.
Character’s Nationality:
As the woman placed the papers and certificates back into the beige folder, shoving it neatly back into her purse she locked eyes again, taking a small breath. “I am of Japanese birth,” She stated almost proudly, if her face wasn’t as blank and bored as it looked you’d think she was having a moment of feeling grateful for her life.
Character’s Marital Status:
The woman finally smiled, she’d come to do that when asked about her family, her hand twiddling with the ring on her finger, “I am happily married and have been since I was 19.”
Character’s Religious Denomination:
She cleared her throat, her face going back to its blank and boring look and she stopped fiddling with her ring, “I grew up following Shintoism and have stayed that way.”
Character’s Spoken Languages:
A soft breath left the woman, as if she had to think about, “Fluently, I speak Japanese and French. Though I am currently learning JSL.”
Character Backstory (Optional):
Keiko grew up in Nerima city, Tokyo in a home too small for her big family. Finding herself in a loving but strict family who taught her that the peace and love between family members mattered more than whatever she was upset about, they came from a good place, feeling how they responded feelings was for the best after they lost more family than they could count to the meireki fire a hundreds of years ago. It had become a tradition to keep the peace, push down any negative feelings and to treat family as sacred as they would a god.
As Keiko grew, she never bothered to make friends. With her loss of understanding emotions she also lost reason to socialize. She knew in some way she was different, watching other kids cry, watching them yell at each other, laugh together.. It made her feel left out, so she did what she always did with those types of feelings, she pushed them down and focused on something different. As a kid, she focused on games but once she hit high school she buried herself in school work. She was beginning to grow bored of her life.
That was until she met her now husband, Victor Blackthorne, while taking a school sanctioned trip to France, having snuck off from her group to see other exhibits, where she ran into Victor, a guy who was much different from her. Her French had been choppy, having only studied the basics before the trip but after that school trip she had made it her mission to become fluent, hoping she’d impress him next time she saw him.. And really hoping there’d be a next time. Lucky enough for her, there was. At 16 they went on yet again, another trip to France and she could not have been happier- well, as happy as someone like her could be. They quickly started dating, she claimed it was luck.. But it felt more like fate than anything. At 19, during her first year at Osaka university, Victor proposed and of course she had said yes, deciding to take her last name, they were now Mrs. Ishikawa and Mr. Blackthorne-Ishikawa. A year later at 20, they had their oldest child and son, Kyoya.
Seven years later of juggling getting her bachelors and master, as well as a family, she finally finished, but didn’t feel accomplished. In turn she moved her and her family to Tokyo to get her doctorate in psychology and Tokyo university, 5 years later at 31 she was finished. Unable to find a place to settle in Tokyo, she, Victor, and their four kids moved to Karakura hoping to start their lives there. For the past eight years they’ve been surviving on Keiko’s savings whilst she tries to find a job.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
Keiko knew what she wanted to specialize in before graduating high school, child and adolescent psychiatry. She wanted to help kids like her, kids who couldn’t understand emotions, regulate them, accept them.
She couldn’t stand the thought of knowing how being this way feels and not helping children who go through the same thing.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Keiko attended a 6 month long internship at Osaka university hospital during her seventh year.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Keiko Ishikawa is a 5’2 Japanese woman with a rather neutral and blank expression, making it hard to gauge whether she’s listening or silently judging everything about you. Her posture is straight and her hands usually clasped in front of her, making her seem more serious than she is. One of her tells is her eyes, they do say ‘eyes are the window to the soul’, her bright blue eyes react the most, displaying more emotion than whatever words she doesn’t use.
Her hair is long and dark brown, pulled over her right shoulder, light brown and dirty blonde raccoon striped dyed on her bangs and the ends of her hair. The left side of her hair is shaven, prickly and slightly grown out, sometimes she rubs her fingers on that side when she’s thinking, using her own head as a portable sensory fidget.
She is a modest woman, preferring long dresses that cover her form like Kimono’s or a flowy over-cover, but she won’t shame those who dress differently from her. In all honesty she couldn’t find a reason to care what others wear, if she doesn’t like it she simply avoids them for that period of time.
Keiko suffered from emotional numbness, whilst usually caused by trauma or a side effect of PTSD, hers is caused by her upbringing. Her blank face and blunt remarks can make her appear to be mean or heartless in a sense, but she just doesn’t really understand different tones and how some things should be said, preferring the most effective straight-forward response. Sometimes it’s obvious she’s trying to understand , throwing in a slightly forced and awkward smile every couple of minutes. Her emotional numbness not only makes her confused about emotions she may or may not have but also those around her, whilst her studies have given her the basics and technical understanding, it’s hard to comprehend something on a personal level when you’ve never experienced it. Furthermore she is not a person who holds grudges, finding them a waste of time and energy. If she has a problem with you she isn’t going to make it known, she will simply forget about it or state it bluntly to your face and move on.
How does your character act around the hospital?
Keiko remains professional, only assisting when needed or asked for, preferring to stay out of other people's way and hoping they stay out of hers. She’s not much of a socializer but do not mistake her quietness for avoidance, she is listening. Preferably she’d like others to fill the quiet space she fails to fill herself.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Keiko prefers to work with others, letting them take charge and assisting when needed. Being more so the ears and eyes of the group then the hands. She is a psychiatrist after all, listening to others is what she does best.
