Do you have Discord? If so, what is your username?:
Yes. My discord is e07033 and full disclosure I do not have a mic YET.

List your timezone and country:
GMT+3, KSA

Describe your activity:
I would say I am fairly active on SRP. I have a ton of free time on my hands, especially since my classes start early (7AM) and end early (11AM or even 9AM!) + I stay indoors mostly since I have a lot to study and I often use my study breaks on SRP. All in all, I am very active and I trust I will be able to complete the monthly quotas. On discord, I’m also active especially with pings or DMs.

Link any significant applications (e.g., Roles/Teams, exclude languages):
None

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
I enjoy SRP and the roleplay, and community, it brings. While I am still relatively new, I’ve gotten involved in GangRP and from there I made so many new friends. I love the process of building characters from scratch and bringing them to life through storytelling.I feel I’ve adapted quickly to the server’s dynamics and would love to challenge myself by joining a new faction. The reporter role caught my interest because, while it may seem quiet at times, it holds endless potential for creativity, storytelling, and interaction with the community. Not to mention, I really enjoy writing and I see this as a great opportunity to improve on my writing, as well as gain exciting roleplay opportunities.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
Yes, I do! Writing has always been something I’ve enjoyed. Especially in roleplay, whether it’s creating character backstories, or roleplay storydriven scenes, I've enjoyed creating ‘something’ out of nothing. Outside of SRP, I have continued to write creatively, experimenting with short stories, character concepts, and narrative-driven ideas. Writing has always been both a hobby and a creative outlet, a safe space where I can push mysef to convey ideas more clearly and compellingly. While I may not have many experiences with writing, I wish to change that by joining the reporter faction and simultaneously improving my writing.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
I am aware of the set of rules provided to me and I will follow them

Why should we accept you over others?:
While I’m not the best or the most experienced person, and writer, out there, I believe I could bring other aspects that the reporter faction could use. First and foremost, I’m dedicated, creative, and always willing to improve. I put genuine effort into everything I do and I care about making roleplay enjoyable not just for myself, but for others around me. I learn quickly and take feedback seriously. Ultimately, what sets me apart is a combination of awareness, reliability, adaptability, and dedication. While I may not have prior experience as a reporter, I have the skills, mindset, and willingness to grow into the role and excel at it.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
I understand I have to stay completely neutral ICly and OOCly with all reports

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
Yes I trust I can stay active to complete monthly quotas.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
I understand that the role is about observing events on the server and documenting them in a way that’s clear, informative, and engaging for the community. A reporter needs to gather details, stay neutral, and provide accurate coverage of events, interviews, or situations that are happening ICly.

I imagine the work involves being active and present during events, keeping track of developments, and presenting them in a way that others can follow and enjoy. I recognize that this role is important for giving events depth and realism and for helping players feel connected to what’s happening around them. Essentially, a reporter’s work is about capturing the story of the server and presenting it in a responsible, reliable, and interesting way.

IC (In-Character) Information:
Treat this section like it is your own character answering it

Full Name:

He slides into the chair with the kind of ease that makes it obvious he’s been in way too many interviews to count.
“Oh, my name?” he asks with an easy grin. “It’s Ethan Revair. Spelled R-E-V-A-I-R.”

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)
“Just Ethan is fine.” He grins. “Unless you prefer formality, then I’ll answer to Mr. Revair. But that makes me sound much less approachable.” He’d cross his legs, one over the other. “As for my title? I’m single so.. Mr. works good.”

Current Age (25+):
”I’m twenty-seven. Some days it feels older, some days younger. But, eh, I digress.. Anyway, birthday-wise, it’s August 14.”

Past job/work experience:
He let out a nostalgic sigh and leaned back into the chair. “Ah, well.. I started out as a fact-checker for a small paper back in Vancouver. It was hardly life-changing news. Just the usual ‘firefighter’s save cat from tree’. Then I freelanced a bit here and there.. travel features, lifestyle pieces, human-interest stories.”
“ Eventually I almost wanted to call it quits from how little excitement it gave me..”
he admitted with a sigh. “But quitting isn’t really my style. I just wasn’t really built for the small stuff, you know? I started diving headfirst into the chaos. Protests in the rain, last-minute event coverage, even sneaking into places most reporters wouldn’t dare. Every close call, every heart-racing chase… that’s where I felt alive, and that’s where I got the real stories.”

Degree/qualifications:
”Bachelors in communications,” he begins, “Minors in criminal justice.”
He allows a small smirk before continuing, “Though I’ll admit a lecture hall can only teach you so much.”

Nationality and born location:
“I’m Canadian, born and raised in Vancouver."

Phone Number: 030-4504710

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
He fixes the interviewer with a thoughtful gaze. “I’d describe myself as intensely curious. I try to balance charm with professionalism. People open up when they feel at ease. I also believe I'm good at this job. Integrity and accuracy will always come first. I'm persistent when pursuing stories, patient when I need to listen, and adaptable when things go sideways, which I hope it won't. I would also call myself a risk-taker. Risks? Absolutely necessary for a good scoop. You can't truly understand a story unless you chase it." he'd chuckle a bit and lean back, "I don't know if that was 150 words exactly, but I won't miss an extra opportunity to talk about myself. Shall I keep going or is that enough for now?"

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
His eyes show a mixture of excitement and focus. He clearly liked this question. "Ah.. Good question. I'm more drawn to stories that end up on the front page and gets talked about for days. Big scoops, high stakes, etc. That's where the real thrill is. I don't like to settle for the small stuff. I like to dig, chase- immerse myself in the story! Comfort zone? What is that?" he sports a ****y grin, “Basically yes, I am very comfortable going out of my comfort zone.”

What are your expectations for the job?:
“Expectations, huh? Well… I’m not expecting a desk job, that’s for sure. Although there will be desk-job aspects that I won't complain about.” he says, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “I just wanna be in the middle of it all. Gangs, crime, chaos, all the drama Karakura has- I mean, that's the whole reason why I moved here. I want the stories that make people stop and actually look. Best angles, best shots, best action. If anything is happening, I wanna be there, scribbling notes, snapping photos, catching it all before anyone else does. But again, I know there are paperwork to be filled, facts to be checked and verified.. I'm honestly happy with just writing as well."

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
He’d chuckle, “No criminal record. Nothing to report really, it’s all clean on my end.”

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
“I’m only fluent in Japanese.”

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

[!] A faint click, followed by the low hum of the recorder picking up ambient noise. [!]

[Ethan Revair] – “Alright, Kaito, let’s jump straight in… What’s your general impression of the old Karakura Lighthouse? The one right by the beach? You’ve been there, right?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Uh… yeah. It’s… kind of eerie, honestly. And quiet. I like going there when I need to think, but… it gives me the creeps sometimes.” He paused briefly, then added a small shrug “That’s mostly it, really.”

[Ethan Revair] – A quiet chuckle echoes in the mic. “Creeps, huh? That’s promising for my article. Okay… Have you noticed anything… odd? Strange atmosphere, weird sounds, mysterious vibes?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Well… sometimes the stairs creak when no one’s there. And then there’s that one rumor… the one about a dead body. Makes you feel like someone’s watching… like a ghost, maybe. But I know those are just stories.”

[Ethan Revair] – “Ah, classic ghost rumor. We love those! Have you heard anything else… any other strange happenings or stories about the lighthouse?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Mostly stories. Though, I did hear from a friend that a small group used to meet there for… rituals or something. Never really followed up on it myself, but it’s enough to make you think twice when you’re alone on the stairs.”

[Ethan Revair] – He laughed. “Rituals, ghosts, creaking stairs… this place has all the ingredients for a perfect creepy afternoon. Speaking of stairs, how safe are they, really?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Not very. They’re old… I’ve almost slipped a couple of times. I’d say only go if you know what you’re doing. Or better yet… don’t go at all.”

[Ethan Revair] – “Noted. Safety first. Do you have any warnings for future visitors?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Yeah… don’t go alone. Watch your step. And trust your instincts. If something feels off, just leave.”

[Ethan Revair] – “Wise words. One last question: what’s your favorite time of day to visit?”

[Kaito Ishiguro] – “Sunset. The light hitting the water and the lighthouse together… it’s calming. Almost magical. But the long shadows can make it a little spooky if you’re in the mood for that.”

[Ethan Revair] – “Magical and spooky. Perfect. Alright, Kaito, that’s a wrap! Thanks for your time.”

[!] Click. A faint creak of the table, then silence as the recorder shuts off. [!]
