Describe your activity on SchoolRP:

I’m on almost every day
Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:

I’ve not played on very many other roleplay servers, but the ones I have, haven’t stuck to me like SchoolRP has. I played on FantasyRP while it was running, another FantasyRP server that was quite boring, and then SRP. SRP is the best of the ones I've played so far. There are good rules, the server has a lot of people, and you can never run out of people to roleplay with. I’d say my experience on the server is really outstanding.
What are your current roles on SchoolRP:

Grade-12 and Grade-12(alt ;rcngo;)
What is the subject you want to teach?:

Lepidopterology(study of butterflies and moths)

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

I really would like to spread knowledge about butterflies and moths. Even if it’s through a roleplay server I wanna share how lovely they are with the world. Then there’s the creative freedom. I like making lesson plans, kahoots, and field trips, it makes the experience a lot more fun because I’m now part of a reaction of interaction. There’s also a big plus side of getting paid for talking about something I like a lot.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

  1. In my first class, I would start with a brief get-to-know-the-students, asking them what their favorite butterfly and moth is, most people do not have a favorite moth, so we’d go into them first. Bringing up which moth familia are most popular and which moths are most known, which are the Gelechioidea, Micropterigidae, Zygaenoidea, Choreutidae, Pyraloidea, Bombycoidea, and Noctuoidae superfamilies. There are tons of moths inside of these families but the first three are the main ones that come up when you’re searching. I’ll explain this to the class. The general reason why they have such a bad rep and why it’s good to learn about them is people think they can hurt them, or flying creatures just freak them out. But if that were the case then why aren’t butterflies seen just as scary? THE FUR, I’d then go into an explanation as to why fuzzy big flying bugs scare more than the non. Then we’d switch to an introduction to butterflies, doing the same and listing the different families of butterflies there are, which are most popular in Japan, and why they’re loved more.

  1. To keep things in order, my second class would be an introduction to moths. Going over their Familia and explaining that they’ll be learning about the Noctuidae, more commonly known as owlet moths, Going into deep detail, about how they live, what they eat, who are their predators, how they mate, how they defend themselves, how long it takes for them to expand their wings, and how they reproduce and what colors they range in. I'll then provide a Kahoot on the subject. Asking the same questions, making the subject stick in their brain.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:
  1. We’d head into the forest to count how many butterflies we can find since moths are mostly nocturnal and you can’t find many during the daytime. I’d group everyone into groups to find certain types of butterflies. Obviously, not all butterflies will be out at the same time as others so if they’re unable to find their butterfly, they can write a short paragraph about what those butterflies eat, when they mate and migrate, if they’re cross-breedable, and what time of day they’re normally found in. This will all be talked about in previous lessons and if they aren’t there for those lessons I’ll provide notes in all of the books so they can read up on them. I’d disperse them and their groups to find their flutters and wait for them at the lake.
SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

-She’d step in, placing her arm in between everybody to disperse as much as she could. Saying something like “What is the meaning of this? I would hope nothing nefarious is happening hm?” Furrowing her eyebrows at the players and awaiting their responses individually. She would wait until everyone is finished telling their story individually and take proper action from what she has been informed.
Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?
-Iris would stand up from her desk, looking directly at the student and speaking with them in a stern tone, “Enough questions, Sit and be quiet or I’ll be forced to add more detention days for you.” Then sitting back down and continuing on with her day. If said student keeps persisting in the obnoxious behavior she will keep adding more detention until someone needs to be called to suspend or expel them if it is that severe.
Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?

-Walk up to their desks, slamming her ruler onto the ground or in front of one of them. Her voice would be irritable and tired, “If you would like to continue with your conversations,- “ She’d swirl her finger around all of the phones, “I will gladly kick you out of my class. I Do not want to waste my time with children who do not care to learn.” Then stand there, waiting for an apology or retaliation, in which she’d kick all of them out of the class, along with adding detention.
Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?

-She’d contact for help immediately, radioing anyone who could help her, she then would step in between the two people. Shoving them apart forcefully with her arms, waiting for backup. She’d stand there, keeping her body in between them and her arms out into a T with her palms facing towards their heads. Asking for more information as to why they were fighting, and who started it. Gathering more information on the situation, taking names, and not letting anybody leave before backup arrived.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What do they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?

-Iris is a blonde, 6’5 Greek woman, she only has one tattoo of a red snake on her right ring finger and a large birthmark on her left shoulder, it kind of looked like a cloud. With a cold and direct attitude, she does not play around and the only way you’ll ever see her smile is when she’s around friends or family. Although she has a cold attitude and most of the teachers would probably think she’s mean, she has a soft spot for teaching. Sharing information on something that interests her to a large group of people has been her dream since she was a small child, around the ages of 10-13 she always had the idea of expanding her knowledge and projecting it out into the world. The students are critical to have to keep not only her job but her dream continuous so she holds them dear for the most part, although she’d never show it she loves everyone at Karakura high school and community college a lot. She isn’t unfriendly, but her way of speaking to others has a way of making her seem uninterested and bored. The other teachers may find her rude or cold but she would genuinely love to get to know and befriend them. All of them are there to teach something they like or hopefully love and she understands that, so there is no problem between them or her. Her plan for the future is to keep teaching as long as she can. She wants to try and aim for this as her lifelong, I mean why go to school for 6 years and then waste the education? That is her thought process, if she wanted to do something else she would’ve studied for that instead. Iris would like to carry out her career as a professor as long as she can. She’d like to retire in her 80s and start a flutter-collecting business of butterflies and moths in Greece in her remaining days, months, or years.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.
Iris was born in Santorini, Greece year 1996. She has an older sister named Versetalia that collected butterflies and moths. From ages 6 all the way to 17 she caught, released, raised, found, and pinned all types of flutters. During her first year of being taught, she just ran around catching the butterflies in the day with nets and the nights standing outside next to the lamp, staring at the moths, picking them up, and carrying them. Within the next year, her sister taught her how to raise them. They started out with domestic silk moths, raising and feeding them together. The butterflies she were raising at the time were monarchs, the most common to care for first. They continued this for an entire year before she moved up. At the age of now 8 until 10 she was raising 3 different moths and 3 different butterflies alongside her sister. Comet moths, Rosy maple moths, and Luna moths were the types of moths she raised and Common blues, Giant swallowtails, and Red admirals were the butterflies she had been raising. At this time of her life teaching never crossed her mind. She didn’t always think to become a teacher or to even spread her knowledge of Lepidoptera. By the time she was fifteen, she’d raised so many different types of Lepidoptera that it impressed her family. They even built a huge windowed garden for them to thrive in, it was filled with vines, flowers, milkweed, everything a flutter could have dreamed of. Iris spent loads of time in the garden, caring for the flowers and all around nature. Until she had to move out in the summer of 2014. Going to college, this was finally the time she had the idea of teaching. Though she pondered this for a year, she came to terms if she wanted to live beyond her life and make knowledge of Lepidoptera more common, she needed to be the one to do it. So she began her study right after her birthday, completing her teaching degree around the same time as her second degree. Moving back to the same street as her parents, she decided to teach at a school close by to keep an eye on her now sixteen-year-old little brother. The school loved her and she loved them, but in her earlier years of high school, she took a trip to Japan and ended up staying and loving the city of Karakura a lot. This brought her to look for teaching jobs, this is when she sees the opportunity to be a professor and finally teach the two things she’d been wanting to focus on the entire time. Lepidoptera.
