What is your Minecraft username?:
cerealfrog
Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
cerealfrog
What is your time zone?:
GMT+1 / CET
Describe your activity on the server:
My schedule is very open and I do not have a set schedule for anything, thus the no time table in this section. I’m able to log in at almost any time.
I also try to be online quite often, unless I had something planned like going out with friends or such. But besides that I definitely make enough time and spend enough time being online on SRP.
As of right now I log on fairly often to have slice of life RP, or to DetailRP.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I acknowledge that.
School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Caretaker
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
From what I know Caretakers usually play a pretty big part in resolving fights, by checking CCTV for evidence of anything that someone claims to have occurred, simply breaking up the fights when they happen and helping a student to the nurses office if they've gotten hurt. Besides that, they overview the school grounds to make sure it's safe and that the students themselves feel safe as well, and enforce rules when they are being broken. Of course they also keep the property clean. Plus they also help out fellow faculty members with various tasks.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
Roleplay has always been a huge part of my life, a place for me to express my creativity and a place to meet new people and friends. I started out with it on Roblox, then slowly moved to different places in Minecraft, since then I have mainly stuck to roleplaying in Minecraft.
Admittedly I took a huge break from it a while back, mainly because I was very busy with school, and the people I interacted with fell off. But safe to say I have been doing it for years, and have always found huge enjoyment from it.
I got back into roleplay about almost a year ago, when I first joined SRP. Since then I have had a lot of interactions and have learned a ton about the server. I was pretty quick to join a gang and thus have some GangRP experience, but we mainly tried to focus on P2L and detailed interactions with each other which I loved and have always preferred. During and after that I have also gained some experiences with general slice of life roleplay, and have had detailed and consistent interactions between my character(s), and other character(s) to further build their relationship(s).
Also I'm not sure if this counts but I have had a LARP interaction, and am planning on going to an actual LARP event very soon as well! Which I think will give me a whole different insight on roleplay in a positive way.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I have been looking to join the School Employee faction, because I really want to try something new on the server. Right now I mainly only student characters (and one animal whitelist) and joining the faction would grant me different roleplay opportunities that I wouldn't get as a Student within the school setting, which seem really interesting and exciting. Also interacting with people a bit differently than what I'm used to and getting a chance to give other people such as Students or fellow Faculty members roleplay opportunities seems fun! I’d love to interact with the community in a new way.

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
If a student starts cursing at him, he’d be taken aback. Confused as to why he was being cussed at so violently. In his eyes his demeanour is always professional when on school grounds, so this certainty felt unexpected.
Clement would shoot the student a firm look, a subtle warning sign before interrupting the student if there seemed to be no end to the rant, warning them that this attitude towards faculty— or anyone actually— wasn’t tolerated or acceptable. If they were to continue, he’d sigh. If tension wasn’t too high genuine questions would be asked. Did he do something to upset the student? Did something happen to the student that made them emotional? Those definitely possibilities he’d take into account. After all, a reaction this big can be caused by various reasons. This might not even be personal.
However if questions aren’t possible or simply ignored he’d resort to giving out two more firm and direct warnings to give the student a moment to hopefully realise what they’re doing, give them a few seconds of grace to calm down. Then a detention slip would be handed over to them, if everything failed.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Clement would rush over in a bit of confusion the moment he hears the heated quarrel, wondering what could possibly cause two people to be so loud, speeding up his pace the second he realises it has already gotten physical as well. He would never scream at students, seeing it as unprofessional and unnecessary and instead would firmly call out to the two fighting students.
After separating the two, having called for back up if really needed, he’d focus on talking to the both of them. Hearing each side of the story to get a better picture of what happened, and if it would be possible to talk it out on the spot, or let it be for now. Sometimes the tension can be so high that forcing them to apologise only makes things worse. A firm scolding would also be waiting for the both of the students afterwards, no matter what the specifics were. Assaulting each other on school grounds, or in his eyes anywhere as a matter of fact, was unacceptable.
When the students have both gotten an earful, and have hopefully calmed down, he’d hand them a detention slip before letting them go, recommending that they should maybe stay away from each other for the rest of the day. Or at least be more civil.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
The first thing he’d do is pause, mainly out of surprise and to get a better look at the situation. Clement has a habit of always assuming the best of people— including his co-workers of course— and thus wouldn’t believe the situation at first. Employees are meant to be professional, and most importantly care for the safety of themselves and the others around them.
After a moment he’d snap into action, walking up to his fellow employee with quick strides and firmly confronting them about what they’re doing. That it’s inappropriate and quite frankly unprofessional. This isn’t an example they should be putting up for the students to see, and this isn’t something to be doing for their own safety. Before they know it their actions might get them badly injured and right into the hospital
All of that was said in a rather serious and harsh tone, one Clement can never seem to lose no matter how hard he tried. But it was all in an attempt to put a quick stop to the situation. Maybe a weak (and most likely failed) attempt at a light hearted joke would be thrown in, in an attempt to de-escalate the situation if needed. If given the opportunity a question here or there as well, as to why they’re doing this in the first place.
Direct communication is always better than dancing around the issue.
If Clement’s confrontation has no effect, he’d disappointedly sigh and then get SLT immediately involved with the situation. If no SLT were available he’d get another co-worker, a more professional one, to at least have another witness for the upcoming report he’d be writing to SLT instead. Hoping that being addressed by someone with more power would prevent a repeat of the same or similar situation.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Clement is quiet, serious. At first sight at least. If anyone were to talk to him for more than five minutes, it becomes clear that he can be rather awkward, instead of the cool looking front he's obviously trying to put up.
This also goes for his demeanour in the break room.
He loves to pop in for a quick coffee… or two. If there was anyone else present he'd shoot past them at first. For some reason not having considered someone else would be there, and first needing a moment to himself. However a slightly awkward yet somehow firm nod comes from him in acknowledgement towards the others. An attempt to still be polite while first focusing on his coffee before interacting with anyone. Depending on his mood he might quietly chug it. After that he'd probably have gained some courage to finally approach the others in the break room if there was anyone else.
Standing on the side and silently listening to the ongoing conversation before quietly chiming in if given the chance. Trying to make himself seem a bit more friendly and approachable in comparison to when he first came in. Hopefully that would work.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me paused, taking a breather before stepping through the front gate. Walking onto the school grounds early, feeling the morning breeze was something he’d probably always enjoy. If it wasn’t raining at least. Even then, it probably wouldn’t be too awful. With firm steps he made his way inside, headed for the janitor’s closet. The smell of musty old brooms and old water still lingering in the buckets made him lightly furrow his eyebrows. God he needed to deep clean this space one day. Maybe he’d ask a fellow caretaker for help with that, if they ever found the extra time to do so. But for now, he would focus on what he came here for, rolling up the sleeves of his blouse and putting on gloves. Checking the supplies he would be using and collecting those before making his way back into the hallways. Starting his usual rounds of a quick sweep through the hallways. Mopping in places where needed, such as the cafeteria, where somehow a new soda spill would appear every single day. It was a never ending cycle there. Also sweeping and mopping other general areas like the common rooms, preparing a clean school for the students to step into in the morning.
/me was doing his usual rounds in the hallway, making sure that everything was clean and the environment was peaceful and quiet. Or at least relatively so, some of the younger students could be quite loud, but Clement had come to understand that they had to be given a chance to be themselves. Before he spotted someone running at him from across the hallway, not giving him a second to process before the student started ranting at him, claiming another student had tried to pull them into the toilets with an intent to swirlie them… Quickly the accused student appeared, claiming the exact opposite. “Okay, okay, let’s /pause/ and talk one at a time, alright?” Clement firmly spoke. Letting each of the students do their side of the story, keeping an eye on the both of them in case the argument turned physical, his radio ready for the worst case scenario. After listening he’d nod, radioing another faculty member to come and watch the two while he went to go and check the cameras. Sitting down, and searching for the camera that could see where the incident had supposedly happened, rewinding it. Observing it closely, making sure he wouldn’t miss anything. Luckily he had a keen eye for detail. Finally rewinding back to when it happened. - Making his way back over he’d approach the students again, thanking his colleague for watching them before handing a detention slip over to the accused student. The verdict was clear: guilty. Clement would look at them, and sternly remind them to not lie to faculty… or to swirlie their fellow student. Neither of those two were tolerated here.
/me hummed to himself as he was taking a moment in the break room. Sipping his coffee before his radio came to life, requesting for help cleaning up… a classroom? It felt like an odd request, classrooms usually don’t get that bad, and as much as he thought that teachers and professors should keep their own classrooms clean he made his way over with supplies anyway. Today had been quiet anyway, helping someone out would give him something to do as well - When he stepped through the door of the classroom he froze. What The Hell. The desks, floor and even some parts of the wall were covered in… whipped cream? He shot the professor a raised eyebrow, asking what in god's name happened. Sighing as he got told it was a prank from another employee, this didn’t feel like his responsibility to clean up. Yet he’d already said he would help, and so he would. Clement considered himself a man of his words after all. Swiftly getting to work, first wiping down the walls and getting rid of all the junk in the walking paths so it wouldn’t smear, occasionally glancing at the professor to see how he was holding up with the cleaning. After that he’d move onto the desks, grabbing a wet rag and starting to properly wipe those down one by one. Rinsing the rag when needed. Making sure no left over whipped cream was there, and nothing sticky stayed. A student needed to be able to learn at these desks again after all. For good measure he wiped down the table legs as well. It felt like it took hours, and when they were done the first thing he did was wipe his own hands with a clean cloth, and look the professor dead in the eyes to tell them he won’t be helping again, at least not if it came to cleaning up the aftermath of a prank war… Anything else however he’d be willingly to help with.

Full Name (First & Last only):
In front of the interviewer sat a man in a navy three piece suit with a dark orange looking tie to contrast the dark colour. A silver helix piercing in his ear, softly reflecting with the ceiling light. Looking maybe a tad bit too formal. “My name is Clement Roberts, it’s a pleasure to be here, thank you for considering me,” his tone was a bit monotone, but it seemed to just be out of formality. It was easy to tell the introduction seemed like it was practised. He looked a tad tense.
Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss):
“Mr. Roberts, please.” The man lightly shifted in his seat, trying to make himself more comfortable, tightly clasping his hands together in his lap.
Preferred Name:
“Clement is just fine for colleagues or acquaintances,” he said with a nod, a small smile followed as he stopped himself from fidgeting with the end of his own sleeve, “however I do not mind nicknames, it usually can’t be helped anyway- Well… I do not mind, if it’s nothing too atrocious.”
Age (Minimum is 25):
Luckily another simple, direct question to answer. “I am 27 years old.” His tone was still a little practised. Clement looked around his age as well, maybe a little older if you were to notice the slightly furrowed eyebrows and the tension in his posture and hands.
Gender:
“I am male, nothing much to add there.” The answer was quick and direct. Silence filled the room as Clement waited for the next question.
Academic Degree:
Major:
The man paused, his eyes drifting to the floor for a second before remembering to look up. “I majored in business. However I will have to admit, it definitely wasn't my favourite. But It was most definitely worth it in its own way."
Minors:
"I minored in Communication and German, and luckily none of those skills I have learned have diminished," that sounded like a very awkward attempt at a light joke. If it landed with the interviewer was unsure of course...
Nationality:
“I’m British.” It was said with a polite smile. “I was born and mostly raised in London. It was certainly a place to grow up in sometimes, but I’m very grateful for it, it gave me many opportunities.”
Known Languages:
The longer the interview went on, the less stressed Clement seemed. Finally getting used to his surroundings. “Considering I grew up in England, I speak English. Besides that I also speak German since I minored in it, like mentioned before.” His eyes drifted to the window before snapping back to the interview “Fortunately my abilities didn’t fade after I was done,” a chuckle came from him. “Oh and well, Japanese of course.” He felt like that one was obvious by now.
Backstory
Clement grew up with two loving parents and an older sister, located in the centre of London. His parents were two very business-orientated people, his dad being part of a family company owned by that side of the family, his mother having a high position in a trading business. All of this allowed them to comfortably live, if someone were to call Clement ‘spoiled’, he’d probably quietly admit it. His parents have given him and his sister a lot of opportunities a ton of people never got, he’s fully aware that. So are his parents.
And any parent wants the best for their child, so with that came a lot of encouragement from his mom and dad to follow in their footsteps, to get good grades, get into a proper business. When he was young it felt like gentle pushing, but somehow it started to spiral into more, at least in his head. The constant reminders over the years were starting to get to him, the smile that faltered when seeing a less than good grade, the raised eyebrow when he spoke about doing practically anything else than business. Even being taught Japanese from a young age, since it might be useful if he were to involve himself with the business on his dad's side. His parents idea, not his own.
However, nothing was directly spoken out against by his parents, yet he noticed the looks, the sighs, the lack of enthusiasm when he talked about maybe doing something completely different in the future. What made it even worse is that his sister was already leading by example. Good grades, interest in the family business. That was enough to eventually make him start overthinking, enough for Clement to start convincing himself that he really should follow in their footsteps.
So he did.
That all made high school less than fun for him, but rather stressful and unpleasant. Feeling as if he barely had any free time. He couldn’t tell when enough studying was enough. The pressure he’d been putting on himself was getting to him. He needed to get into a proper university. Which he managed to do— ending up at Durham university, studying business. Where he got himself to finish his major and his minors, despite slowly starting to deeply spite them. He truly had no interest in business, but with that came the realisation he wasn’t sure what he really wanted. Not ready to face the unknown just yet, he got a job at a trading centre, just like his mother
It did definitely offer stability and a solid job, but after a while he noticed it was really all starting to get to him. Almost started draining the life out of him. So, slowly he started looking at other opportunities far away from home. Deciding that what he needed was a completely new start, and considering he already knew Japanese, Japan was definitely an option.
While searching, he eventually came across KHS. His interest perked. It was international, something completely new, yet it felt doable for him. Starting to become determined to learn and be open to something fresh. Hesitation was his worst enemy in the moment, moving away from what he had been taught and known all his life was certainly intimidating. However he realised this was finally an opportunity to choose something out of his own interest, instead of that which was influenced by his past. Feeling as if he had the skills, plus the right attitude to learn for this he decided to take his chances.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
A nod as he took in the question, taking a quiet yet deep breath, a moment to find the right words and the right tone to say it in. “I have to admit, I’ve been looking for a new start somewhere. I’ve been looking at various places in Japan and came across Karakura High School.”
The tension seemed to come back to his hands and posture. “It really stuck out to me, mainly because of how international it was. It made me think about the opportunities and the things I could learn from everyone here, and that I could also add to that.” That was said with some soft confidence in his tone. “I considered it and realised that I really wanted to take that chance. To learn from both colleagues and students from all different walks of life, and return some knowledge. Not to mention to help keep up the reputation of the school itself.”
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
He sat up more straight, clearing his throat. His tone became more practised yet again. “I’m always on time, very organised and if there’s anything I prioritise it’s direct communication, tension makes the workplace awkward and interrupts workflow for everyone around, especially in a school environment it's not pleasant.,” a pause, a moment to let the words sink in and to not ramble too much in one go.
“Besides that I am always open to learn more from others and am open to criticism, since I take my job seriously and want to do it to the best of my ability, proper criticism is never personal and I am fully aware of that. And I always see it as a chance to learn from the other.” He finished with a firm nod, his hands finally seemed to relax a bit after the last question. Letting out a quiet sigh of relief now that it was over.
