What is your Minecraft username?: _Hiromi_Higuruma
Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?): hiromi_higuruma__
What is your time zone?: EST GMT- 5 (Dont quote me on the GMT 5 thingie but I am EST.)
Describe your activity on the server: I'd give it a solid 7-8/10. Currently I am doing alot of studies for insurance but I am very capable of being active, attending meetings, etc. Basically my usual time for SRP is from 6 until 11 pm, but I am able to appear on earlier if I need to. Saturdays, I can appear earlier or whenever as long as it isnt early morning. Sundays I can also still show up at the same times I've mentioned above.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?: Absolutely!
School Employee Role you are applying for?: Chef!
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for: Chef is a rather unique position in school because it isnt something like being a janitor like the caretakers, or being a librarian who stays around books all day. Chef is important as they provide the food, and nutrients for students in the school. If we just simply push aside how most schools are, aka giving you a single slice of inch wide pizza, chef is the cook of the school who's goal is to ensure each student gets the nutrients they need for the day during breakfast, and lunch. Chefs keep an eye on the stock, usually making notes or a chart of how much supplies they have for food. This includes drinks, napkins, ingredients, and already prepared food. They manage kitchen budgets, ordering supplies, and maintain strict food safety standards. Basically to explain a bit further, when it comes down to the food itself, they ensure there are allergy options that can be chosen from incase if someone is allergic to something from the original dish, along with having a vegetarian version versus one with meat if a student has that preference. As for the safety and food handling, the chef's will clean their stations after each breakfast or lunch serving to ensure that no bacteria spreads through the food or trays. Chefs are mainly active during school days such as Monday through Friday, and depending on different days, they serve different dishes each day to give a little spice to the normally boring day.. If jock's arent deciding to spend that boredom to throw someone into a pool.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: Experience in roleplay? I'd say quite a bit, especially here on the server. For most of my life I've spent alot of time roleplaying and staying in overall fantasy situations. But more specifically, I'll say my average experience here on SRP. I originally joined back in.. I think late 2021? I joined as one of those little greenies who had nothing else to do, but I essentially learned very quickly about the rules and how to properly roleplay on the server. In this time from 2021 to 2026, I've been through a total of four factions, including now being in crime and becoming involved in fight club, mechanic, and a soon to be Yakuza member. I've spent my time as a college character and figured out how to grade up from a 12th to a college, and overall have been apart of quite a few events. I've worked as a teacher before, and my most well known role has been as a Governor. And yes, I have been through a bunch of characters, BUT each one of them have helped me learn more about this server and just about how to make a better, more unique character.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?: From the very start I've kinda been interested in being a school employee, I once was a teacher and it didnt fit my style, but school employee has been something I wanted to join for a while. I did apply for librarian once and was rejected probably for the spots being full, it wasnt mentioned why but that's my guess. But this faction overall seems interesting, and I am interested for the fact that I get to interact with more people and overall just have more exposure to people, and in general, just get out there more and roleplay more. Plus I want some work to do on this server, and school employee is something I've been looking forward to trying.

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?: This again? Seriously? Apparently these kids here in the school have nothing else to do. If they arent beating eachother black and blue or just frolicking around trying to give someone a swirlie or throw someone into the pool, they're here calling an employee trying to have peace accompany them pathetic. Nanami more than likely would just silently stare at them for a solid minute, probably processing the insult that was stated, clearly this matters so so much to him, these random children just randomly insulting him like it actually matters. He'd have been busily cleaning the kitchen counters or on patrol, considering what waste of words to use before saying: "..You wasted energy to say that?" Delivered in a deadpan tone, because who has energy for that anyway. Even after his deadpan delivery he'd add strictly afterwards that they will be getting that little slip of dreaded paper known as the detention slip should they keep calling him names and being insulting even after having been warned three times. Of course, he only gives this slip if they bug him after he's warned them three times. No need to throw around detention papers unless needed, right? Should they continue to persist despite the detention warnings.. Well, time to call in the SLT and ruin the day.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?: Oh great more jocks fighting today. Shockingly if they arent a pair of jocks, not that it matters to Nanami since students fighting is unacceptable anyway, he'd quickly approach and command the two of them to promptly split apart. Should they not split upon the command he will physically separate the two of them, and of course, hand out the detention slips. Unfortunately he just had to be removed from his coffee for this. He'd warn that if they are caught fighting again they will have the dreaded SLT called upon them and even get a free escort over to the front desk, company yay! But in all reality he dreads the whole endeavor, why dont these students ever learn? If either of the students God forbid have any injuries, he'd bring them directly to the nurses office. And of course at the end of the day, he'd see them in detention.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?: That, is also a fine line that's been drawn in the sand. An employee acting clearly inappropriately? The AUDACITY. And infront of the strictler Nanami? Even worse. If this employee is around a bunch of students he would promptly remove the said employee from the are and ask what in the Almighty's birth name makes this employee think they can act like this? But oh, he just deadpans at their reasoning. This whole situation shouldnt have happened anyway, waste of time. He'd remind the employee that on school grounds, they have to act as examples, although that probably explains alot about the students but he would explain briefly and sharply that as employees, they have to act accordingly to the rules set on school grounds. He wont threaten a report to the SLT, no, he directly reports them after this whole event, and will even make sure there was evidence for what had happened since he's just petty like that. After all of this is said and done, he'd keep a very close eye on this employee to make sure they dont continue on with whatever little ideas the may have.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act? Being able to be by himself in the break room sounds just incredible, peace for once? Yes yes, and yes. Nanami would make himself a coffee and park himself into one of those seats with the comfortable cushions, just plopping down without a care in the world and a book in hand. Finally some peace and quiet away from the disaster of the day. No students, just relaxation and mild nap time. But if there are other employees in the break room, he'd probably give a little socialization. But dont expect any sort of actually properly meaningful conversations, not in this school. The only thing meaningful here is strict rules and something to probably complain about needing to be fixed. If the person he's talking to hasnt been educated about the rules twice over and can recite it with their eyes closed? Then he's failed. Usually he will just hang around by himself and enjoy the quiet of the space, probably make some snacks or a coffee, sit back and relax.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me Had begun to clean the counters of the kitchen as he always did, if he wasnt busy chasing after a student who had commit acts of chaos on school grounds, he was always found here behind the school kitchen's counters, just absentmindedly cleaning. This was enjoyable to him, yes, working was enjoyable. It provided some sort of action to lean on that didnt involve those atrocious students. His hand continued to work, rubbing the cloth against the counter in smooth rounded motions back and forth as he made little circles with soft suds that covered the counters in the beautiful scent of clean. Using the other hand he had sprayed the counter with a more watered down solution to clean off the counter from the suds, making sure every spot inch of that counter would be pristine, and back to its original color. Ever wanted to see the actual color of the counter? Just hire chef Nanami. He didnt remember how long he had been working today, but this counter cleaning business was really doing favors for his reputation. Somehow he cleans better and more sparkly than the janitors, although this ultimately is his space and his turf, the place he calls home away from home, of course it needs to be spotless. At the end of scrubbing the counter clean, he takes ahold of paper towels, and simply dries everything down. This was the satisfying easy part, simply drying off what he had just cleaned. Of course, it always turned out beautiful and perfect in the end, each part of the kitchen spotless and as pristine as it was when it first was built. Finally, its completed, a job well done for Nanami. Now it's time for a nap. Maybe even a book read.
/me His frame loomed slightly over the counter as he had started to slice up the vegetables, another day another meal as it came to be, his gaze focused firmly on the sight before him. Just cut the veggies the way they need to be, dont bleed, and have fun. That would be easy.. If these veggies didnt have minds of their own. This is the second time he's had to cut this stupid thing since it flew away at mach Jesus the first time he tried to cut it. A carrot, yes, a carrot. This was supposed to be easy, but washing veggies so thoroughly they slip and slide away has to come with a warning. Now, he holds the carrot firmly in hand, this one being fresh as he cant stand using food that had dared to fall on the ground. That carrot isnt going anywhere, the knife slowly lowering down towards the orange surface to deliver a firm slice through the side and cut those neat, clean little circles. Easy, right? The knife comes gliding down onto the carrot's surface, the sharp edge of the blade cutting through with a gentle velocity as to not send it spinning away off the counter. This time, it worked, the carrot slicing down the side as it cuts off into a neat, smooth circle. It worked! He actually managed to cut it without it leaving. And now cue the realization that he has to cut the rest of it. "..Why did it fly away the first time." He murmured, narrowing his eyes behind the colored lens while studying the inanimate object, because clearly it could answer his life questions. A soft sigh followed, along with the begrudging will to continue through with making this dish. A cut, another one, and another one, followed by a finishing slice as the carrot was finally cut into pieces. Oh.. There are seven more carrots to cut.
/me Glanced at the line as he stood over the pot, the muscles in his arms flexing while stirring around the pot full of stew. Today's menu? Stew, a beef stew. There were two versions, one being a more veggie version with just tofu and miso while the other one was a straight up beef stew. His hands moved with a not so shocking accuracy as he continued to glance at the line slowly building. He was always on time with food delivery, always ready when the students showed up in line. He was always on time. Today is just the same as any other day, simply make the food and get it out to the students. Each ingredient had been chosen with care too. Now with both stews finished, he placed a couple spoons down before approaching the counter, arms crossed over his chest as he'd look the student in the eye. "Beef stew or the tofu?" As the student answers for beef, he'd step away towards the pot with beef stew while picking up the spoon, lowering it into the pot and stirring it around before stepping over towards the shelves for dishes. Easy enough, just a bowl. After grabbing the bowl he takes a ladle beside the pot and sinks it into the liquid, spooning out multiple times until the bowl is filled about a quarter of the way up, a good healthy serving that would leave the students full. He could only give one per student anyway, no favors here. Stepping back over to the counter, he sets down the bowl with a neutral expression before asking in a lowered tone. "To drink, water or aloe fresca?" When the student simply asks for a water his large form excused itself from the counter and approached the fridge, pulling it open as the metal groaned softly from the movement, allowing him to take out a bottle of water from the middle shelf. After its closed, he steps back over towards the student, sliding over the bowl and the water. "Enjoy, dont come back for seconds, you wont get it." What nice words from such a nice chef who looks about ready to knock someones head loose.

Backstory
Years ago back when Nanami was only just one digit years old instead of reaching the two digits, he essentially was raised on a farm. Yes, this city looking guy was raised on a farm out in the wilds of Karakura. At first cooking was just a hobby, he spent alot of his time experimenting around in the kitchen due to boredom, tasting spices and whatnot. But as time went on, he actively started to lean more into the cooking side of things. He was told he needed to continue on his own until he reached a more suitable age to actually apply for being a proper cook in the family, so of course.. He took this literally. Nanami spent his days working from nearly dusk until dawn, researching different recipes and also just holding onto this as a fun hobby he could engage in and enjoy doing. Of course this was the easy part, using spices and taste testing things were always good due to being able to actually eat every food he made. At first it was just the small things, salt and pepper, simple soups, dishes he could make just using a platter, really easy. But by the time he became more physically capable and taller, he could reach more things and handle an actually sharp knife. This is when he had begun to practice cooking with steaks, pork, chicken, and even fish, making more proper detailed dishes that required more effort and more time put into it. That goal of becoming a chef for the farm was closer to his grasp, and he still worked every day, making meals for the family every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In effect, he was an unpaid chef, working tirelessly to ensure he got better with each day. Finally, he was old enough to go in and properly apply for becoming a chef on the farms, which meant he would also be cooking for the other branches of the Kaseya family, even working side by side with veteran chefs when other families visited for business meetings. That, was the more stressful times, as everything had to be perfect. Not surprisingly, he did exceptionally well, even surpassing some of the veteran chefs of the kitchen as he poured every ounce of effort into cooking and making the dishes. He did beautifully, and even was spoken of amongst the families who visited as being someone they wanted to cook for them more often. Nanami never stopped there, actively deciding to go to a small school on the side with other new chefs in order to continue to learn. This school was kept more within the family so that he could more properly learn, and still keep everything more along the lines of which he decided for himself as a cook. By this point in time, he was nearing adulthood as he continued to learn, win awards from others and overall surpass even his teachers. He applied for multiple positions and was able to work in said multiple positions, gaining more and more experience with each employment he had become apart of. Due to his efforts and capabilities, he had applied for a chef in a school before applying to Karakura's main school, and he worked on the side while continuing to learn more and grow higher in his academics. He has experience working with a school kitchen, and now is applying for Karakura school's chef position so he can further improve and grow.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective): "My motivation is simple." He started with, back straightened in posture as his gaze fell on the employer before him. "I want to further improve my capabilities as a chef, and continue working in an environment where I am able to be useful to society." Slowly, his hands lower down to his lap, clasped together politely as he continued. "I want to be able to participate here in the school as I feel like little to no chefs are around anyway, I can help improve that, along with the quality of the food." With a deadpan, he would add. "..I have yet to hear about good quality food here, I would like to change that."
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: "It's simple really." He began, hands remaining clasped in his lap as the watch on his wrist ticked with the time slowly drawling on. "I am highly capable and can follow instructions easily, it's easy. I'm able to listen to higher ups, as apparently.. Most cant." A soft sigh followed, head tilting a bit to the side as though mentioning that was a mere inconvenience. Now, his gaze falls back onto the employer, eyes lazily falling into something more neutral and focused. "I'm intelligent and know what I'm doing, I've also worked in a school setting before and know how to handle it if children are being annoying." With a soft inhale, he'd pause, clearly considering another though before speaking. "I should be accepted over the other applicants because I actually care for this position and would like to help improve the quality of life for these students in school, considering how they will and have spent most of their lives simply attending this place. And if not, this school atleast could use a decent reputation for its food. The school can suck, but the food cannot." With that, he'd begin to rise from the chair, preparing to leave the place. "I also will show up on time, will be as active as I can be and wont waste a moment on campus, that.. Is a guarantee." Now moving towards the door, he'd glance back over his shoulder with one final word. "I intend to give a good name to the chef section of school employees, and I will also be aiming to work hard enough to gain chef higher up position. That, is also a guarantee. Have a good day." The door closes behind him with a gentle click.
