I haven't received any warns/bans, but the kicks I get are for AFK and changing my roles if needed.

Shop wanted: The Varsity Bar; However, I will be naming it “Orenda” or “Orenda Bar & Grill”

Why do you want to own a shop?:
Starting, one of the main important factors of running and owning the shop is the activity itself. I’m aware of the fact that you have to complete a set amount of openings a month, which I am positive I can complete and still have time to open much more within the following days after completing our goal. This is one standard I plan to prioritize as much as I can, to give players a satisfactory chance of experiencing what my bar would be running like, and the unique opportunities when attending one of my many openings of this Bar. Witnessing other shops at times, you usually only see them open one half of the month, then the next you don’t see any at all until the 1st arrives. I can promise throughout my experience as a shop owner, this will not in any circumstances be the outcome of how my shop is run. I will plan to open at least twice every day, if not more when I see the chance to do so when it would arrive.

Another factor is I have a clear sense of how to run a shop already. I may not have experience when officially owning a Shop, however, I know how to order things like Stock, Manage Employees, and how payments should work. The Shipment methods have been taught to me throughout the past months and future updates along with it, and what to expect when it comes to prices. Leading onto the topic of prices; I’m aware of what certain percentage to not go below or above when it comes to custom items and food items. Making the price too high means fewer customers, however too low will make you lose profit when it comes to paying your workers. Setting it at a correct amount will give you many sales and satisfactory profit, leading you to earn more than you would by setting the prices high. Logging is another thing I am taught; Logging is important to set when it comes to recording stock, sales, and how much your workers are active within a set amount of time. I plan to mark up my items from shipment prices by 50% to both give enough profit to the employees working, and extra profit to afford more stock for myself. This could save myself from any situation where I could order too much or too little of a certain item, giving me extra just in case.

Another aspect benefiting my want to own this shop is my well-planned thoughts, goals, and ideas to come in the future when trying to improve this shop as much I possibly could. There may be flaws on the way, but I have a strong enough mindset to be able to find the quickest solution to fix these issues throughout my time as an upcoming shop owner.

Throughout the past months, many shop owners have resigned from their positions. By applying here today, I can promise I have the proper drive and confidence when running this Bar. I have thought about this for a while as of recent, and have decided now would be the time due to my preparation regarding knowledge, planning, and unique aspects that would be implemented if my application were to be accepted. Of course, I have many other factors giving me the drive to own this shop, but there will be many more listed below throughout the ideas given.

What do you plan to do with the shop?:

One of the more obvious things I have stated above, I will be changing the name to “Orenda” Bar & Grill, the word meaning the Iroquois name for spiritual energy inherent in people and their environment. I would want this Bar to give off a much more Japanese vibe to it, hence the bar being in Japan and there currently is no other bar giving the same culture.

If I am not allowed to turn my shop into a Bar & Grill, I will be fine with it being just a bar.

When it comes to the build of the bar, I will be making this shop based on a traditional Japanese bar. The build will have lots of things that show Japanese culture. I plan on hanging flags, lanterns, and all that kind of stuff in the interior of my bar. The exterior will be more simple yet still like the interior. I plan on having lots of nature inside the bar as well. I feel that having nature will make the shop more comfortable and not as intimidating. Below are images of an idea of how I’d like my shop to look. Heads have been added to create more detail in the images, I do understand we may not be able to add them onto the server. The banners also may not be able to be added, a lot of the things on these are put for decoration. The shop may not look exactly like what is shown, it is just a general idea.

The build will most likely change.

I plan to make this shop not only a bar but an izakaya. Izakayas are informal Japanese bars that sell alcoholic drinks and food. Izakayas are described as being a casual place- not too formal, but still keeping an official feel to it. The bar will be cozy and comfy, so people don’t feel intimidated once they walk in. Izakayas are usually slow-paced (When you order, you don’t order all at once.) with a wide variety of options to order. Since the name is “Orenda Bar & Grill,” I plan on having it be a mixture of an izakaya and a bar & grill. Both serve alcoholic beverages and food.

Although we do have a good amount of alcoholic drinks on SRP, I will be requesting customs. The purpose of having customs in my bar is too make my shop different from others in some way, and to embrace the Japanese culture- something that SRP has been missing. Instead of getting more Western drinks or food, I will be getting drinks and snacks that are more prominent in Japan, so that this bar is really what I am applying for, a Japanese bar.

A feature that you most don’t commonly see in shops anymore is active events, nor religion-related events. When running a Bar, it’s much more simple to get more stock so you don’t run out nearly as quick. This could majorly help when it would come to actively open and holding these special events.

The customs that will be listed down below will help majorly in defining these events and making the Japanese culture become a part of my shop and Karakura.

CUSTOMS:
  • ‘Sake’ - Sake is a traditional alcoholic beverage from Japan. The type of alcohol is Beer.
  • ‘Lemon Sour’ - A Lemon Sour or a Lemon Chuhai is a common alcoholic beverage found in Japan. It’s made of club soda, shochu, and you guessed it, lemons. There is a variety of mixtures of this sweet drink, but we’ll stick with a common one.

How will your shop be unique?:

As mentioned in my other answers, this will be a traditional Japanese bar. The majority of the shops on SchoolRP are not traditional Japanese themed, which makes this bar unique compared to others. Especially since this is a bar, this shop can open many different types of role-playing experiences for people to embrace. The bar will have a build which is mentioned in the question above.

While still keeping the bar Japanese based, I will also want to incorporate some modern aspects. This idea might not be completely possible, but it again is an idea. I’d like to broadcast sports games and host bettings. This will give the customers entertainment while still being able to enjoy the things they ordered. People can bond over the broadcasts as well, like meeting new friends or having something to debate about. This could happen by using an online video broadcaster and sharing the link; we could also do things like Movie Nights with this aspect as well.

Bars have events, like discounts or special one-time nights. One of the nights I’d like to incorporate into my bar would be Couples & Singles nights. For example, on Couples Nights, you could get a discount if you show up in a pair. The night would be set to be more romantic, and broadcasts of the sports games (mentioned above) might not play on those nights to have romantic vibes. There could be special items on the menu for these nights too. For Singles Night, if you show up by yourself, you could get a coupon, a discount, or a free drink. This is for people to feel more comfortable inside the shop. These events will be put on days and will stay on those days (unless unfortunate circumstances happen to where the shop cannot open on that day.) These days could be every Tuesday or even every other Tuesday. (Just an example.) Although religion isn’t huge in Japan, I’d still like to add religious celebrations now and then, mostly the Shinto Religion. These will involve minor events relating to festivals with discounts and minor interactive events with the players around the server.

One of the last things that I think would make my bar unique would be having a stage in it. I would want to have Karaoke nights every now and then, yet again to have entertainment for my customers. On those nights, customers could go up on stage and sing their favorite songs. Karaoke nights are a way to make friends and bond. They will make the customers feel more comfortable, as it’s not all serious. Some people go up there to just laugh with their pals, others go up there to debut their singing career.

How many employees are you planning to have?:
I plan on having not too many employees while still making sure I have enough for the bar to function. The employees will have different tasks and responsibilities.

SHOP-OWNER: (1)

  • The Owner of the shop is in charge of everything that happens under their shop. They are the ones who hire employees, make changes to the shop if needed, manage the prices and items the shop sells/serves, and more. They are the ones with the most responsibility when it comes to owning the shop, and they are the ones to go to if any issues arise.
  • In the case of my shop, I’d, of course, be the owner, and I’d have to do everything that’s above but as well as watch over the shop. Some shops have it to where there is a certain person that manages the shop, but in this case, I’d be the one to manage it, during openings and when it’s closed.
CO-OWNER: (1-2) 17+
  • The Co-Owner is also very important to the shop. The Co-Owner helps the Owner with everything. They are expected to be very trustworthy and have lots of integrity when it comes to the shop. The Co-Owner will be the ones to take charge of the shop if the original owner isn’t able to.
  • In my case, my Co-Owner will be someone I trust a ton. They will help me manage everything I mentioned under Shop Owner, as well as helping when it comes to re-naming the shop (if needed) or changing the design (again, if needed.) With permission, I will allow my Co-Owner to open the shop when they want to. This will help me reach the maximum amount of openings needed.
[UNIFORM WIP]
MANAGER: (1-3) 16+

  • The Manager is also a necessity for the shop. Usually, a manager will assist when it comes to customers. The Manager will also help out when it comes to certain things like stock or events.
  • In my case, each manager I have will be in control of one certain thing. For example, these things could be Prices/Items, Events, Employees, and Stock.
[UNIFORM WIP]
WAITER/WAITRESS: (4) 16+

  • A waiter/waitress will be serving food, taking orders, taking the bills, etc. The waiters/waitresses will have lots of responsibility and are expected to be quick when it comes to their job.
[UNIFORM WIP]

BARTENDER: (4) 18+ (Due to serving alcohol)

  • The bartenders are behind the counters working during shifts. They will be handing out drinks at the bar, logging their sales, etc. They will be behind the counter at all times during an opening unless they have to leave or do not attend work that opening.

[UNIFORM WIP]

SECURITY: 16+

  • The security is in charge of watching the shop and making sure no conflicts start. Very simple. They also have lots of responsibilities, being very observant, not getting distracted, making sure they’re able to assist a problem if one occurs, etc.
[UNIFORM WIP]

Additional Notes:

Currently, I have no roles on the server. I have resigned from being a Highschool Teacher on the account I am applying for (my alt, cherryzen), and I have resigned from being a College Councillor on my main. (My main, Nikiyo.) This means I have no positions that can distract me from being a Shop Owner. If I get this role, I'd like my age to be set to 25.

Thank you for reading my application! If I need to change anything, please tell me!
