BACKSTORY
Born on August 10th 2001 in Manila, Philippines, Claudia was the second child to be born into the Mendoza family, and was raised by her Filipino mother, and Mexican Father. She grew up speaking Tagalog, and later on learned Spanish and English. As a child, Claudia loved to spend time with her family by going out on picnics, having movie nights, and anything else you could think of. Overall, she had a wonderful relationship with both her parents and two sisters for a long period of time. This would go on for the next 8 years until one day.
Claudia's parents would have constant fights and arguments everyday while Claudia and her two sisters would hide and listen to the terror. Her father began drinking alcohol everyday and night, and would sometimes not come back home for hours because he was too busy drinking. The environment around Claudia was becoming extremely toxic, she felt as if the walls were caving on her and that she was suffocating and one day would end up dead. But one day, it got even worse.
As Claudia and her sisters were getting ready for their first day at a new school, she heard glass shatter from the kitchen. As she ran to the kitchen, there was glass shattered all over on the floor from an alcohol bottle, and saw her father with anger in his eyes along with his fists clenched, while her mother was on the floor, bleeding from her left eye while crying.
After all of this happened, you may have guessed what would have happened already. Her parents got a divorce and her dad was charged with abuse and was locked up for seven years. Claudia's mother, and two sisters all moved into a small apartment in Manila, because they didn't have the money to buy a new house. For the next few years Claudia and her sisters would be home schooled until one day, Claudia's mother decided that she wanted her daughters to try out something brand new, and to leave a once extremely toxic environment, so she decided to apply for Karakura Highschool in Japan, in hopes of being able to send all three of her daughters there.
Sadly, only Claudia got accepted into Karakura Highschool, while her sisters got accepted into a school in their hometown. Claudia's mother was estatic. Although only one of her daughters got accepted, she was still glad that Claudia would be able to get away from everything and try something brand new in a different country.
Today, Claudia has been studying at Karakura for the last three years and has just started her forth and final year. She hopes to graduate and plans on continuing to study at Karakura during her college years.
PERSONALITY
Despite growing up in an unhealthy and toxic environment back in the Philippines, Claudia has always been kind, and caring to others that were kind to her. Claudia is known to be a bit shy, but very open and talkative once she becomes comfortable with someone. She is very loyal to the ones she loves, but once a person that she loves breaks her trust, she becomes broken for a long period of time. It's not always sunshines and rainbows for Claudia, although this happens rarely, Claudia can come off rude and selfish when things don't go her way, or things don't go as planned. She also tends to overthink, and worries too much about things that she shouldn't worry about.
