Club & Team Allowance

What's your Minecraft Username?: hiraethynss
What's the title of your suggestion?: Club & Team Allowance

What's your suggestion?:
An increase in allowance for players who are members of school clubs or teams!

It could work like the current grade-based allowance, but instead with a slight increase for players who are active in these extracurriculars. The allowance can still be tied to player activity so that it goes to players who are genuinely active within their clubs/teams or the game.

It would serve as another balanced way for players to earn money and be involved in SRP :3

How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would encourage more players to try out for teams and apply for clubs knowing their involvement comes with a small reward.
It would also increase server activity since allowances will be tied to activity in the game.
This will also reward the team/club members for their involvement since they already dedicate extra time & effort.
This will also be another source of income for players who can't get a job yet or find them full.

Many people I know regard teams as it stands as a popularity contest for who gets in or not, I don't know as I don't do much in the way of sports on SRP, but from my observed experiences and that of what I hear from others, it seems to carry a bit of weight. This can be true of clubs, but is not as prolific in my experience. Adding monetary incentives to this I believe will only further these issues. I don't believe that this change would increase server activity and I believe most students who are on sports teams have zero issues getting a job in game at a shop as I have watched firsthand shops hire only the people with a sports tag who applied. On top of that, I just don't think it's particularly necessary.

An alternative that might benefit everyone equally would be introducing a limited time /quest for tryouts perhaps, or for certain club events. I don't know how that would work on the technical end, however. Something similar to the EMS check-up quest most likely is what I think it would result in. This would still incentivise attending sports tryouts and spending time with clubs that have meetings open to the public without gatekeeping it behind groups that are inherently exclusionary in nature.

Clubs and Sport Teams are already quite competitive. 95% of contestants are there because they love the sport or the club and if this would be implemented I feel like people would end up joining for the money and not the sport.

People in teams and clubs should be there for the roleplay more than anything; it's a roleplay server. Money is cool and all, but it also doesn't really make sense for team members or club members to get more money than normal grade 12s or college tags.

”Yup, you’re part of the club that’s only thing is to nap. Here’s an extra 20 bucks for that!”
