basically, people play SRP primarily for an experience or to gain opportunity for themselves or their characters. I’ve seen a few teachers and professors demonstrate this concept of thinking outside the box to attract more playerbase to their classes. Some of the teachers/professors that have made impact off the top of my head are DarkEclipic, Kinyuun, Alimonino, and MinisterFudge (well done guys)

TLDR; forcing or bribing students with rewards to attend class won’t help you gain the playerbase you desire. Instead, work on making your classes more appealing and building relationships with people for a better experience.
I completely agree with what Infi is saying.

BUT going off the original suggestion and also as a sports captain, we host our practices at set times to accommodate our players who live in different timezones. We enjoy having a full practice when we can. If we hosted practice at 2PM and it just so happens to be schooltime during the server, we shouldn't push back our practice time to after school because people are going to get tired and need to go to bed or go do things with their families.

We have our practice times for a reason.

While i do agree that you wouldn't see college students outright disrespecting professors, our characters are made with their own personality and sometimes we want to liven up a class by causing some mischief. It helps bring an experience, not only to the professors but to the other students attending the class as well.

Thank you for your suggestion!

We removed the mandatory college class attendance to remove players from classes who were AFK, ignoring the professor, or messing around due to them being forced to attend said class. It's unrealistic to expect people who are forced to attend something to not only pay attention, but actively contribute to roleplay when they didn't want to be there in the first place, no matter the reason.
- MuffinCat is working very hard to inspire their professors to create fun and engaging classes, and we're hoping that you will all give the professors a chance by attending their classes.
- If class attendance doesn't improve after we introduce more ways to enter college, we may trial a form of 'class requirements' at some point, however it will be extremely relaxed and only in place for those who are very active within a week, e.g. they were online for 4 school days in a single OOC week and have attended 0 classes. This system would be a strike-based system, and you'd be encouraged to attend 2 classes for at least 75% runtime to remove a strike, so effectively it's very forgiving and simple to not get striked, we'd also only 'de-rank' those higher than Bachelors, so they'd have even more chances to stay in College. This would be a way of encouraging those who don't go to class at all to give it a try, so if you attend class every now and then you'd be fine.
