Since I'm currently in college my schedule has been fluxing but as time passes I gather the times I'm most active - and times I'm dead busy in the library studying for whatever. My classes are mostly in the morning so a good portion of my day is free outside of times for lunch and dinner. I've been online a lot more recently after figuring out what times work and wont conflict with schooling.

What is the student council and what do they do?:
To put it simply, the student council is the bridge between student and faculty, they collaborate with teachers and help bring a student’s perspective into school decisions. The Student council volunteers their time to help maintain order, doing things like enforcing disciplinary actions like handing out detention or reporting incidents straight to faculty. They also serve as a role-model within the student body, setting an example through their behavior. A star student basically..
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I’ve been in my fair share of factions, my time in faculty gave me a bit of a push and a lot of experience of the behind the scenes of how the school is run. I do miss my time teaching and things relating to the school - during my time on sports it was very obvious I enjoyed roleplaying more on my student chargers than anything else. Council is just something on the list to give a try! An attempt at me changing the scenery both icly and oocly Can’t be mad at trying something new? Being in council would also require a lot of creativity when it comes down to keeping the school interactive and fun which I thrive in, and enjoy giving my input in ideas whether its events or changes in general.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes! Very aware. Being on the event team kinda gives me an upper hand on that. I have tons of ideas and also can help with things like event and build requests as well as getting things out to other event team members to help out if needed!

╰┈➤ The student council president is the main representative of all the student body. They oversee all that goes on within the student council, lead meetings, plan and help coordinate events.

╰┈➤ The vice president serves right under the president, they are the right hand basically. They do practically the same but more on the assisting side to ensure everything is going smoothly. If the president isn’t available questions will go to them.

╰┈➤ The council members make up the most of the team. They help maintain order in the school, assist with events and help faculty. Council handles things like minor disputes, watching detention - they basically keep the council running and welcoming.

SCENARIOS
˗ˏˋ While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly? ˎˊ˗
“Mmm.. Considering during an assembly they usually require some type of silence -.. If this did happen I’d go up to them, try not to make a bigger scene. That would ruin the whole point, so it’s not about making myself louder and authorizing some type of order.” Her words paused, clearly tapping against her chin for a moment or two. Let her cook. “I would be calm, first ensure they’ve stopped whatever the disturbance was, maybe move them somewhere else if needed? then ponder on what’s the problem and if any help is needed. If they do need some type of assistance, then I'll get that solved right away while still being quiet for whatever .. the Assembly is for.” Rowan’s hand dropped. “But, if it was purely because they were trying to be funny, or simply just be a nuisance for the sake of whatever reason like their friends dared them, i think a quick scolding would suffice, If it continues though at that point I’ll threaten with calling some type of faculty to have them removed from the Assembly.” Leni’s arms crossed, a slight laugh breezing through. “I'm sure it wouldn’t go that far though..”
˗ˏˋ A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do? ˎˊ˗
“. . . How fast we talkin’?” She leaned in, maybe.. Rowan wasn’t the fastest runner in the race. “If they started running.. Well, first I'm not chasing after them because if by chance I tripped and fall, then we’re all doomed. They got a warning, really that’s the best I can do.. I would inform faculty from the radio, go up to the front desk - and wait. Surely a nice ol’ intercom across the whole building will lure them out?” Blowing out a puff of air, her arm waved around. “You know what else will be waiting? A nice detention slip with their name on it when they show up with it back on.”
˗ˏˋ A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns? ˎˊ˗
“Wait, at our big age? Okay.. Well, for one if I notice this behavior first - I would take it up to the teacher, collecting their concern too.” Snitch alert. . “If you really think about it, teachers are more trained to handle situations like these better than us - it is their profession afterall. I’ll ask the teacher if they need me to step in. Most of the time, some students are more likely to comply if it comes from another student.” Her nose scrunched, for no more than a few seconds. “Of course though, you don’t want to just race up to the student and straight up give them detention, well. . . - UNLESS the teacher told me to do so.” Rowan pointed to herself. “I’d probably warn them, suggest moving them to another seat away from people to harass and if they do it one more time straight to that cute little slip I have in my pocket."

Rowan stared forward.. Was she having flashbacks .. She gulped. “Well! First, if they genuinely seem serious on the topic and it isn’t some joke to stay out of class - I would get as much information as possible.” - “Why do you want to protest this? What about? And what’re you trying to gain.” A new finger popped up with each reason she gave. “If they’re able to answer all these and I can gather enough information - and it’s very peaceful I would simply watch over, not really to disturb their protest but keep a watchful eye on them.” Two fingers dropped, one left pointing forward. “If they’re protesting for better school lunches, then I might just be in there too.” . . . ? “If the subject was something that probably shouldn’t be talked about at school, I would tell it may not be best and give a few reasons why… And if they do it anyway, inform someone about it.”

"Depends how they approach it.. Will they be yelling at me? Or a more respectful way like criticism - you know, I wouldn’t be upset if they corrected me on something.” She's lying. “The best I could do is try to understand why what I did was wrong and how they would’ve handled it instead.” Rowan pinched the bridge of her nose, well who enjoyed being told they were wrong? “But.. I also wouldn’t just take whatever they say, whoever is trying to tell me I'm wrong - if they’re an adult I can promise you on every plush I own we probably learned things differently.” - “Either way, I would totally tell them that’s just not how I was trained. If they have a problem they can walk it right on down to my higher ups, I won’t argue with them” Or would she..

A Night Under the Clouds

Now… who on earth would want to be on school grounds once the lights go out?
When the sun goes down, the council invites all students to return to campus. One of those brain wizzes even managed to get the back gate open somehow. . Stepping inside the gym, A Night Under the Clouds begins: a night where the gym is transformed into something unforgettable. Decorations of stars and clouds hang from the ceiling; dim lights setting the perfect tone. Bean bags, blankets, and small couches are scattered across the floor, especially near the stage, while many student-run stalls sell hot chocolate, snacks, plushies, and just about anything you could imagine.
Behind the stage, people prepare for their performances, whether it’s singing, a band performance, or a simple showcase of their talents. They'll have a chance to hopefully not embarrass themselves. The Photography Club will be helping to run the photo booth, which will, of course, fit the theme perfectly. Students can pick out fun props like hats or small accessories to hold for their pictures.
As the night draws to a close, the event will end with a fashion runway on stage, who’s got the best pajamas? It could be a group or an individual taking part in this very friendly totally non competitive activity..! The councilors will serve as judges, and whoever is placed within the top three will enter a poll, if you aren't the peoples princess take a quick walk out the door because the final winner will be chosen by the players.

Complete silence instilled for a few moments, clearly Rowan thought long and hard about this “You know what, that’s a great question.” She paused. “If I had to describe myself I honestly believe I could go on for hours on end - but I’d like to say im … Assertive?” She tilted her head slightly, considering her words. “I run a strict program around here (sometimes), if needed I will put someone in their place if they're blatantly doing something unnecessary. I’m not scared to speak up and I won’t back down just because they’re the ‘bigger person’… physically, I mean.” Her arms crossed, a large sigh coming out as if this was an SAT question. “Mmm.. I feel like a better way to phrase this is to say I’m very honest in whatever I'm doing and what I stand for. I don’t sugarcoat crap, even if it’s not what someone wants to hear . . what's worse? A liar? Ooo.. Don’t answer that.” Rowan shifted her weight to the other side. “I mean, yeah it’s not always easy being that person, sometimes lying is sooo much easier - but I feel like it’s important! I care about what happens, and I’d rather handle things directly than let them spiral outta control on my watch.”

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
“What separates me.. For one, I feel like these days most people are a little soft on those who completely step out of line knowing they’ll get minimal punishment or none at all - I don’t mess with that. Although, this position isn’t purely about scolding individuals it does require a lot of it..” She paused, scratching the edge of her noggin for a second. “Considering before I was going hall-monitor mode - I was the delinquent cheerleader, I can more-so understand the ‘why’s’ and the ‘hows’ when it comes down to why people are doing what they are.” The cogs were turning very slowly, oh, was that a lightbulb on her head? “Err.. maybe this is just a way to atone since back in my day fights were an everyday thing and they were bad enough the whole team had to get called forward.” Back in her day? It was two months ago. “I have a good idea of what I'm working with, basically . . Since I was on the other side of the spectrum I'm almost certain I'm capable of handling anything thrown at me, multitasking is sort of my thing .. Ya know? With that in mind I can be put in a situation whether to dial down a situation, or end it completely.” Green eyes rolled up and over, squirming in her seat slightly. “I was a Co-Cap for a pretty long time, so having to be creative, taking charge and all that is second nature at this point, and it was something I enjoyed doing.”
Why do you want this position?:
“. . . To put it simply, I want to try something new.” Short and simple? Her arms came up in a shrug letting a few seconds pass before she elaborated. “I. . was a cheerleader for a while, and during that time it was nothing short of chaos, like I'm talking upside down mad hatter type of stuff.” Rowan twisted her hands around, a sort of emphasis , a slight grin tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Err, I want to try something different, and be better than how I was before. I want to help people where I can, and even if its simple like giving someone directions to a class - I feel that’s a great start.” Her shoulders sank with a sigh, then perked back up. “If I want people to depend on me - I have to work for that, I have a lot of pride . . Maybe a bit of ego so shifting that into something useful, and something that can actually help people sounds pretty admirable doesn’t it?”

I can’t not be interested in that.” She paused “I think what gets me the most is how mature it teaches you to be - I had a friend .. long gone by now but came out of council as a new person ? Suddenly I want to sleep at 8pm and eat salad all day - It has to be a ritual or something.” Was it a ritual? Her words trailed off, then picked back up “You know there's a lot, you’ll lowkey just have to see what I can.”
