TRIVIA QUESTIONS
What is the student council and what do they do?:
The student council is a set of pristine students within the school that hold a core position in discipline and representation of Karakura Institution. These students off the bat have a few responsibilities such as; ensuring the school's safety and the good behavior of their fellow peers, being a listening ear and an amplifier for student voices, and holding multiple events throughout the months to keep up the cheerful school energy and keeping both staff and students school spirit up! To touch on a few of those responsibilities further firstly, a top priority is to ensure the good behavior of their fellow peers and that they aren’t breaking any rules, this can be as big as breaking up a fight or as little as pointing out students' fashion wrongs. Inevitably it boils down to keeping Karakura Institution safe and having a healthy school atmosphere. The student council as stated earlier are the representatives of their fellow peers meaning that they also can amplify the voices of those who might not always get direct contact with staff and SLT, they work in tandem with other students on issues like navigating the tricky adolescent issues that can’t be easily voiced to a teacher. And, since they’re so close with other students it’s not too far-fetched to say that they often hear the ideas that students have for exciting events that can occur through the school years. Finally, the most exciting part of their tasks is planning fun and exciting school events that keep us all pumped and elevate the energy throughout the school. All this to say, the student council is quite integral to student life in bridging that gap between staff and students.
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
My reasoning for becoming a councillor is a few very important things. One, I don’t see many college councillors engaging with students in roleplay and I also believe I have a unique character and unique ideas to bring to the table. Not to discredit those who worked hard on their applications to get to the position they’re in now, but when I look around during my gameplay there are hardly ever available college councilors, and even then they just don’t seem so entwined in the roleplay highs and lows. I on the other hand have spent a lengthy amount of time on the team's faction and to this day am very closely entwined with them I find that this role would only amp and elevate my roleplay experience as I move onto new things. I do have a very firm understanding of the rules within Karakura High and the code of conduct of course but I still know that it’s best to bring a diverse range of personalities to the faction. On another note, as I’ve been playing my current character I’ve often noticed people suggesting for me to move to a more respectable role like councilor since my character has a very steadfast, near stubborn moral code that upholds the ones that align with being a councilor yet still maintaining that laid back free-spirited persona that makes her easy to approach and get along with. Through that balance, a lot of people have urged me to go for a councilor and I agree that my character would flourish in this facet with my OOCly knowledge and her ICly personality.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes, I do understand that my creativity will be necessary as well as my team efforts which excites me since I have a lot of ideas to contribute.
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
President: The head of the student council, takes on most of the laborious tasks that come with being a councillor and can only be achieved through immense hard work and effort. They’re the ones who put most ideas into motion and honestly are the foundation on which the council is built.
Vice-President: They’re just as respectable as the president in their efforts and the responsibilities they hold, being the second in command and the ones that can set ideas in stone if the president is not around. They work closely with their fellow councilors in bridging that gap between the president and councilors.
Councilor: Often quoted as the school's representatives they are our school's image as well as the crutch in the student-teacher relationship. Their tasks can range from lending a helping hand in events to being a guiding light for their fellow peers, they have a lot to do essentially but everything that they contribute to the school life is 100% necessary.

SCENARIOS
While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
“I’m going to assist the students, telling them that they need to be respectful. Meaning for them to stop their current actions, I am going to formally warn them that if I have to speak to them two more times it’ll result in a detention. If they keep up on their actions I’ll be using my walkie-talkie to ask for backup or notify SLT on the matter at hand.”
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
“Honestly, I don't run very well in heels… But say there was an incident where I needed to run after a fellow student, I wouldn't. If I was to know the identity of the student I’d ask for assistance from a teacher - if that was to help me locate the student or for said teacher to call for the student on the intercom.
If I were to not know the student I’d use my trusty dusty walkie to notify any fellow councillors and warn them about the student.
A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
Biting her cheek Sadie looked upon the vicious student with a wincing gaze. Who could’ve possibly upset them to that extent? Approaching them, she wanted to remove the imposing presence the teacher would bring and pull them aside to get the scoop! Or.. . just a simple rundown of their behaviors. “I know you’re like.. Suuuper upset but what’s going on ‘cause. Freaking out on school grounds like this isn’t fun nor fresh.” She waved her hands in a motion alongside her words. “Maybe we could sit in the council room and you can like- chat about it to figure all this out.” She gestured in their general area trying to help talk them down.
A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
The blonde sighed, this was beyond her knowledge entirely. Met with a moral dilemma of not wanting to stifle student voices but this would cause a whole new can of chaos if she let it happen. Turning on her radio she tuned in with a mousey whisper. “Uhm. .. guys can students protest?” She sighed, waiting tentatively for an answer back from someone who knew better. When she’d gotten a green light she panned back to the group. “As long as you’re not .. . disturbing the peace or harmin’ anyone then yaur.” A hint of her Australian accent crept its way into her sentences.
A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
“Ohr. ..” she pulled her smile into a strained grin realizing her fault in the situation. She twisted the ends of her blonde locks, her lack of words wasn’t any fault of the teachers, she’d just been taken aback in the moment. “Can I ask what did I do wrong?” She chimed in once more, taking this not as a scolding but as a learning opportunity for the next time. Biting her tongue and listening to the valid criticism.
Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
THE WINTER FESTIVAL:
The Winter Festival is an event for students of all grades, transforming our school into a winter wonderland filled with winter activities. Designed to celebrate the magic of the winter season, the festival will bring students together for a day of fun and relaxation. All around the school, different stations and activities will invite students to experience the joy of winter in unique ways. The pool area will be transformed into an ice rink, creating a magical spot for students to lace up their skates and glide along. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, the rink will ensure that everyone is moving, laughing, and enjoying the spirit of the season. One of the events will be a snowball battle that divides the school into two teams—the Spartans and the Bobcats. Students will rally their friends, strategize, and join forces for a showdown on the baseball field. The competition will bring out the best in everyone’s team spirit. This will bring the school closer together and create a sense of community. And there’s more! Throughout the school, there will be hot cocoa stations to warm up at and even cozy areas for gathering with friends and enjoying the festive atmosphere. The Winter Festival will be an incredible opportunity for students to relax, have fun, and create memories with their classmates, celebrating the season together in style.
BOOK FAIR:
Book Fair We all know the library is a coveted place for students from all grades to go, relax, and get their reading or studying in every once in a while. Though aren’t the books a bit outdated now? There hasn’t been a turnover of books or textbooks in a while and it might be time to incentivize our fellow peers into contributing to the beauty of reading, and what better way than a book drive? Before this date, students would be notified of the upcoming book drive in advance, a chance to come up with whatever story their heart desires. Or to just write the best research book they can. The books should be submitted on the day off and dropped off with the incentive of the best book in their category winning a cash prize. Which can be; a cash prize, reward tokens, or some sort of gift card. Whatever it might be, it’s best to give students a reason to participate as well as a chance to expand our library while drawing them into the joys of reading. For those who don’t wish to participate in the writing aspect, this can just be a simple book fair for them, letting the students familiarize themselves with the activity that is reading. And for every book that is burrowed or returned, they can get a snack too while they huddle up in their corners with whatever new book they might have.
