Hi!
Something that has really made me excited about SRP recently is a sudden, unexpected, yet VERY welcome shift with crime.
I'm sure we all are very aware of the new crime lead, Jayla - AND HOW AWESOME OF A JOB THEY'RE DOING???
Like.. seriously, I think this passion is exactly what the crime faction needs right now, however, I think the server lacks this same passion and motivation in other areas that could ALSO really need it.
One of the really big things that I think has been great with the new crime lead, is the openness to try new things, and the transparency with the community.
Both of these things work great together to provide a perfect environment for crime to start healing.
Now, enough praising the awesome work that everyone over there is doing - where can we improve?
I really believe that SRP could benefit greatly from being more transparent with everything that's going on. Being open to constructive criticism, addressing known issues, and actually working to fix those issues.
This suggestion is basically to take inspiration from the Crime Community Panel that has been introduced, and turn it into a server wide thing.
This would be a stage meeting that occurs, possibly on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, with the SRP staff and the community, giving a space for staff members to talk about the server and share about ongoing projects, updates, patches, etc.
The stage would ALSO give a space for community members to express their concerns, ask questions, and create room for a more positive relationship with the community and staff.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
I believe being more open and transparent with the player base will build more trust and understanding between everyone involved.
This could be a very easy way to build that trust within the player base. Nobody wants to be upset with staff, and this could relieve a lot of tensions that I'm sure many players have.
I think SRP is meant to be a welcoming and friendly community for everyone, having a stage like this will foster those positive relations and allow for much more to be possible.
