WHAT YOU WANT TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:

In this community-team oriented suggestion that I believe may be important for lore-connected on-server roleplay, I would like to suggest the addition of Lore-Team having the ability to use /vanish alongside using privated actions (/it without the name at the bottom) and maybe during events or in specific locations, roleplaying as [?] characters to spook out roleplayers hovering around an area. For example, in the Itsbyoshi-Karakura district, there's this folklore called the 'Two Sisters Tale'. I think it would be rather interesting to have a Lore-Team member roleplay out one of the two sisters to provide more insight within location-based lore that gives more interest rather than just lore-blocks. Of course, the permission of /vanish and [?] characters would be used in extreme moderation, however, this addition gives lore-writers something to do rather than focus on forum-based lore-projects. It's also an effective way of inviting Lore-Team members into events (i.e the recent Halloween spirits that haunt the KPD/Forest). I would understand if people down-voted this thread considering that Lore-Team members are not traditionally involved in events, because there's a specified team for that sector.

HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE SERVER/COMMUNITY?:

Much of my argument is based in the previous formatted subheading, however the benefits of this will bring Lore-Team members recognition and the opportunity to alter situations out of the blue for more enticing, exciting roleplay for the community as a whole. Another benefit would be to have the ability to bring canonised characters onto the server, or the cold sharp pains you might get when walking into an area. It provides more detail than signs in the sewers saying 'You begin to feel a cold breeze down your neck'.

PLEASE DO NOT FRET TO OFFER SUGGESTIONS SIMILAR TO THIS ONE OR PROVIDE A +1/-1, ANY RESPONSE, EVEN IF CRITICISM, IS APPRECIATED

I think it is absolutely reasonable to give Lore members more responsibilities event-wise.
On the flipside - I do lack insight into the inner workings of the server organization.

Thing is, unlike event team, lore team’s job isn’t to interact with the community. Their job is to write documents. If you’d like to be a part of interacting more with the community in terms of putting on events and playing special characters then you should consider applying for event team. If you give both community teams the same abilities you may as well combine the two into one

I’d also like to add that lore-team members, like any community team can suggest and put together events of their own depending on what faction it’s for and with staff support

Coming from the former lore coordinator, I will have to come to say no. The reasoning is that it takes away the reasoning of the event team, making the lore team a pseudo-event team in which it can form its own events and such.

Firstly, with /it, it already is restricted for event team members and staff members in general, giving it to even more members of the community drops the reasoning of the event team. The same goes with /vanish and [?].

The lore team and event team have been given a specialised area in creating events that are based around lore, whilst the lore coordinator has the power to execute the lore and develop it physically on the server. Lore team members' jobs are to write and create lore, whilst event team members are the ones to execute said lore. While, yes, most execution of lore occurs purely by the lore coordinator, that's always how its been. You can always apply for the event team to be able to create your own ghost AND roleplay it, though there is always the option of creating ghosts/spirits or any other lore-related characters/events and giving them to event team members

It would be a good idea, but that isn't necessarily the point of the lore team. To @Infi Lore team can infact put events together, as there is a channel specifically for them to work with event team to execute lore team events. I think recently developments have allowed lore team and event team to work together more, but I don't know if it will be able to extend to this level.

I like the suggestion, however I'll have to put a -1 due to several reasons, Oli has listed most of them, I'd love to have Lore-Team more involved with the actual gameplay on the server, however that is restricted to the Event Team and Staff Members as that is their purpose and adding this onto the Lore-Team could infringe onto the Event-Team and break down a lot of what differs the two teams.

This makes sense; and there's nothing I can really do to challenge that. Thank you for your response though Oli!

The responses you guys have offered have made me rethink the suggestion in it's entirety.

Thank you guys.

Thank you for your suggestion!

- Event Team was created for this reason as stated above, although it seems you have all sorted this amongst yourselves
