List your current and past IC/OOC faction applications:
None! This is my first faction application ever.

Describe your activity on the server:
I'm a fairly active player on the server, having first started around a year and a half ago- At first, I was mostly interested in the plugin aspects of the server. (Mostly volleyball, to be honest!) But as I kept on interacting with people through volleyball or small instances where I actually roleplayed, I started becoming more and more interested in the whole roleplaying aspect of the server, eventually getting into mainly small crime focused activities, such as roleplaying out fights in detail, and roleplaying out spray painting with spray cans. Another type of roleplay I have sort of interacted with is CultRP, although this was more of a one or two time thing that I just happened to interact with.

Overall, I'm a decently busy person Monday-Thursday, having classes until 4:30 PM. (usually, unless I have extra classes…) However, on the weekends I am easily able to play for 10-14 hours without any issues.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Ever since I started to actually roleplay, I've been quite interested in applying to a faction! Since I've always been CrimeRP focused, KPD was my top pick when I started thinking about applying to anything! A lot of my friends are also applying to it, which made the deal even sweeter for me- And I've also already got a lot of lore/story ideas for me and my friends to do if I do successfully end up getting into the faction!

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Right now, I'm mostly aware of the basic duties of the faction, such as detaining, questioning and arresting individuals, along with taking in bail money, responding to distress calls, performing visitations, and rarely raiding turfs or apartments, along with handling extra stuff like fires. I also have some knowledge of the tools they use, such as;
// POLICE BATON //

The police baton is a two-hit KO weapon with a two block range, that can be mugged and is available to all officers, no matter the rank.
1785602937249.png
// HANDCUFFS //

Handcuffs are used to restrain individuals that have committed a crime, or need to be detained for any number of reasons. They cannot be mugged, and are available to all officers, no matter their rank.
1785602937263.png
// POLICE RADIO //

Police radios are a waterproof communication device that is available to all officers that will allow them to message any of their peers, and is given to any KPD, no matter their rank. It can be broken with
any sharp or blunt weapon, cannot be stolen, and cannot be used offensively in any way.
1785602937276.png
// STUN BLASTER //

Stun blasters are a tool available to all officers. It has an eight block range,cannot be mugged, and can stun any hit target for a period of sixty seconds, not requiring any rolls to do so.
1785602937293.png
// PEPPER SPRAY //

The pepper spray is a little can available to every officer, no matter their rank. It has three uses, two blocks of range, cannot be stolen, and requires an action to successfully use. A successful action with this tool will blindthe target for sixty seconds.. A gas mask will render this tool completely useless.
1785602937307.png
// TRANQUILIZER //

This device is a plastic rifle given to any Police sergeant, Detective inspector or above. This weapon has a thirty block range, cannot be stolen, and only has two shots before needing to be reloaded. If a target is hit with one of its darts, it will render the target unconscious for two OOC minutes.
1785602937324.png
// RIOT SHIELD //

The riot shield is a tempered glass shield given to all KPD officers whenever protection is required, regardless of their rank.

This tool has two modes;

[DEFENSIVE] : When held in the main hand, the officer will be unable to do any offensive actions at all. (Except for bashing, AKA. Pushing out of range.) The officer will also be protected from any and all damage taken from their front side.

[OFFENSIVE] : When held in the offhand, the shield will lose all of its protective properties, instead trading this property for the ability to use offensive tools against a target.

This weapon has a one block range, can only be mugged if the officer is KO’d, and requires actioning to swap between both of the modes.
1785602937338.png

Some extra gear that they also use would be luminol spray, that is used to detect if there is blood on a bat that hasn't been cleaned, a first aid kit, extending bleedout timers by five OOC minutes, fingerprint scanners which are used to grab and compare fingerprints from different surfaces, and finally body cameras, which are recording 24/7 whenever an officer is in duty.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
The police faction of the server is extremely important to the server due to the fact that a lot of stuff revolves around it, along with crime- Such as EMS, GangRP and many other things. Removing this part of the server would be a huge detriment due to the fact that it would remove a lot of roleplay potential to the server, along with messing up existing storylines that may revolve largely around crime, making people either have to void them entirely- Or rework large parts of it to fit whatever rule changes could have caused the removal of the faction/whatever rule changes could follow BECAUSE of the removal of this faction.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I acknowledge this!

○ – In-Character (IC) Section – ○

(Two knocks could be heard before the interviewer's door slowly swung open, a middle-aged woman would stand at the doorframe, making eye contact with the interviewer before she made her way inside, closing the door, turning around once again to face the individual that would question her.) “Hello? I'm here for the Karakura Police Department job application interview. It's nice to meet you.”(A polite smile would appear on the woman's face upon finishing her sentence- Offering a friendly handshake, before sitting down on the chair opposite of the interviewer, waiting for the interview to commence.)

What's your character's full name?:
(The woman would clear her throat as the interview began, taking a deep breath in order to gather herself before responding to the question.) “My name is Yumiko Mochizuki.”

How old is your character (if accepted)?:
(Her smile would slightly shape itself into a frown upon hearing the question, as if slightly ashamed about her age, before she quickly regained her composure, along with her smile, responding to the interviewer's question.) ”My age? Well, I am currently forty years old… My prime is long past me. My birthday is also in a couple weeks. . . So I'm basically already forty-one.”

What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
“I identify as a woman, and I go by she/her pronouns.”

Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD)
“Well. . . I finished my high-school education, but that is. . . as far as I was able to go, quite frankly.” (The woman would slightly chuckle, a slight sorrow could easily be seen in her eyes.) “However. . . That does not mean I am not capable, or anything like that, of course.”

What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
“Ah, well. . . Currently, I speak Japanese, as well as Korean, with the former being my mother tongue.”

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
“My appearance” (She would give the interviewer a polite smile, before pointing at herself.) ”Well, I’m sure that you can take a good look yourself. . . No?” (As soon as that was brought to the interviewer’s attention, all of her features would quickly become noticeable. . . Her natural red hair, her incredibly formal attire along with her confident posture would make it evident that she tried to be a serious person whenever she had anything important. . . Just like this interview.)

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
“Hmm, well… Personally, when it comes to anything professional, I attempt to take it as seriously as possible, of course. I am not really the type of person to ever like slacking off, or underperforming in the slightest. On the flipside, when it comes to any type of casual situation, I tend to be a lot more relaxed. . . Obviously. I am typically just seeking to have fun in most casual situations, so I have no real reason to act as seriously as I may do in a work environment. Despite this, I always attempt to be an exemplary individual. I never really ‘relax’ when it comes to that side of me.”

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Personally, I think teamwork is essential for a lot of things. . . Sometimes even required. I am no stranger to working with other people. Even if I do tend to try and do everything myself. . . I am still very much willing to put in the effort to learn how to better cooperate with others, especially in a job as important as this.

What's your character's backstory?
“Well, since you want my life story. . . Let's start from the beginning, shall we?” (The woman would clear her throat, taking a deep breath right after- Before beginning to re-tell the most important details about her life up to this point.) “Well. . . I was born in a hospital in Seoul. My mom and dad were both veterinarians, although this fact didn't really affect my life in the slightest, really.” (The story would pause for a moment as the lady seemed to be in thought for a second.) “Overall, my life so far has been. . . Pretty. . . Dull. However- There IS one thing that has marked me for a big portion of my life- Even being part of the cause of me deciding to apply for this job. . . When I was around eleven, my dad was trapped inside of a burning building. . . It wasn't fully consumed or anything, but he very much would've needed help to get out. Just when I thought that I might've lost my dad. . . A police officer showed up- I'm unsure if it was breaking protocol, but. . . He basically dove inside, rescuing my dad. Obviously, being young. . . I asked him ‘why.’ And. . . He smiled at me, simply telling me that he applied for that job in order to help people, and that's what he was doing. This act of selflessness resonated with me, and it made me aspire to be a police officer someday. (Upon finishing this little rant of hers, the woman would slightly snap out of her ‘talking-trance’, appearing slightly nervous once she realized for how long she had been speaking about this one specific event in her life.) “Ahem, apologies. . . I seem to have gone a little overboard with that little story of mine… I think I've extended this question for a little too long- So I will try to keep this simple from now on. As soon as I finished university, I met someone who I thought I would someday marry, even dating him for five years as I bounced from job to job, and we eventually found out we were going to be parents-! I was ecstatic to find out, but. . . He evidently didn't think so, as he ended up disappearing not too long after. And so, I raised my daughter. . . Mostly alone, with the occasional support from family whenever possible. Life was kind of a blur for a bit, with constant working and needing to take care of my daughter. Eventually, things did take a turn for the better, though. . . Someone in my family from my father's side told me that he had come for a vacation here in Karakura, telling me how cheap rent was. . . And, of course- I couldn't refuse that deal. . . Anything for an easier and happier life, right? So I planned to travel over to Karakura with my daughter- Or, that's how it was going to be. . . But we still needed money, so I have mostly been traveling in and out of Karakura. . . But, now that I may finally be able to get a job here, I will hopefully live more. . . Stable life.”

○ – General knowledge – ○

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
(She would shake her head at the question.) “No, you cannot. And being found with one in your possession would have you charged with ‘possession of illegal weaponry’, easily landing you in jail for three months, if I am not mistaken.”

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription:
“As far as I am aware, medicine wise, paracetamol, aspirin, multivitamins, iron supplements, melatonin and cough syrup do not require any sort of prescription.” (She would clear her throat before further continuing her listing.) “And, as for medical items or tools; wooden canes, hearing aids, medical masks, eyepatches, reading glasses and unbranded bandages do not require any type of prescription, either.”

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“Firstly, I would make sure that my body camera is on- In order to have proof of what my co-worker was doing, then I would tell the corrupt officer to face the wall, before promptly informing them that they are under arrest for assault- Informing any of my superiors that is currently available about the current situation.”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“I would either attempt to drag my co-worker away to safety, or bring my taser out, telling the individual committing harm on my co-worker to peacefully face the wall, and if they do not comply- I will simply tase the aggressor, promptly arresting them before checking in with my workmate in order to see if they are seriously hurt.”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“Firstly, I would quickly attempt to gather any and all proof possible. The more incriminating, the better- Before making a report directly to one of my higherups. As much as I may dislike corruption- As a low ranking cop, I highly doubt I should act without the approval of someone above my rank.”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“Well, that depends. . . If the individual is still a high-school student, then I will likely take it as a joke. . . Kids are just like that, they usually think stuff like that is funny. . . Of course, I would still arrest them if I found out they were serious, but overall I would be more patient with them. If the individual is already an adult, however. . . I am afraid I would have to arrest them. They would know exactly what they were trying to do, after all.”
