- TRIVIA -
⇨ What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
The High-School Teacher role is one that I’ve been looking forward to being a part of ever since joining the server. It’s considered the most important role in the School Faction as most player base tend to fall in the category of High-School students. Hence, a player who holds the role of a teacher has the job of providing classes for all the players to enjoy and roleplay in. I believe that I’m one who is qualified for this job. I’ve already been a college-professor in the past and I was a very active and outstanding professor. I made sure my classes were always enjoyable for all students and treated everyone in my class equally. Ever since leaving, I’ve wanted to return once again to teaching but I wasn’t very keen on becoming a College Professor once again so I settled on becoming a Culinary Teacher. I very much enjoy cooking in real life and I’m sure everyone will enjoy my classes on SRP as well!
⇨ Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
Yes, I believe that I’m one of the many very experienced players in our community. I’ve been a part of almost every role on the server and have had most jobs on the server and have performed very well in these jobs. As mentioned before, roleplaying as a teacher is nothing new to me. I’ve already been a College Professor and I knew the very basics of how to host a class and maintain it. I’ve also been a School Librarian before so I’ve been affiliated with the School Faction many many times and I’m very familiar with how everything works here. I can assure you that I’ll provide the best roleplaying experience to all my beloved High-School students. I’m already very close to some of them OOCly and I’m sure they’ll be delighted to hear that we can become even closer now. They’re already aware of my roleplaying capabilities and bringing them to the HS will be delightful news to them.
⇨ Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
Yes, I have. I’ve familiarized myself with the Faculty Handbook and read it multiple times to assure I haven’t missed anything.
⇨ What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs are proof that a teacher has hosted a class during school time. To log a class, you’d screenshot yourself with the students in the class as soon as the period begins and then another screenshot at the end of the class when the class ends. This provides sufficient evidence of you hosting said class for the SLT team to confirm that you are doing your job correctly and not cheating the system in any way or being unproductive in your job.
⇨ You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
First things first, I will consult approval from the Principal or the Vice-Principals. Then, I’d begin splitting my class into two groups. One group will be led by myself and another will be led by a Teaching Assistant. If a Teaching Assistant is unavailable, I won’t split the class into two but instead, keep them as one and go along with the trip. During the trip, I’d make sure no student is causing trouble or no student is lost or harmed during the trip. I’ll make it my goal that every student returns safe and sound back to the School. I’ll try to maybe host a small cooking show during the field trip where I cook with natural ingredients only to make it more fun and interesting for the students.
⇨ As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
As a teacher, I’ll be sure to follow the following rules:
I. Do not affiliate with students in any romantic relationship/manner.
II. Always act professionally during classes and refrain from any immaturity when teaching
III. Ensure that all my class logs are logged in their appropriate channels and to never miss out on one.
IV. Do not engage in any illegal/inappropriate activity.
V. Make sure I’m fully prepared to host a class and have the appropriate and needed equipment at hand.
VI. Treat all students equally regardless of any differences they might have and give them their fair share of participation in class.
VII. Report any sort of unusual/suspicious activity or vandalism of school property to one of the members of the SLT, preferably a principal.
⇨ Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP):
Outside of SRP, I’ve been roleplaying from almost day one of playing Minecraft. I used to roleplay on another Minecraft server called Cosmic Craft but that’s back in 2014 or 2015. The server has since shut down. I was also part of a roleplaying community called the League of Nations. A nation-simulation roleplaying discord server. They also shut down.
Inside of SRP, I’ve probably experienced every single type of RP you can think of with the exception of Shinto Priests and Black Market Dealers. I’ve had almost every single job and have become a very experienced roleplayer. People also tend to compliment my way of roleplaying and my detailed actions. I’ve developed my actions a lot ever since joining the EMS. I’m sure with such roleplaying capabilities, I’ll be more than a perfect fit for this role.
⇨ Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD: HD, being the Head of Department, is the highest of the teacher’s tier in his specific subject. The teacher granted of this tier is most likely the most experienced teacher in his domain. He’s expected to help out fellow teachers in his own subject platform with lessons and anything that revolves around the subject, and keeping the teachers in the same subject remain in their roles.
- QTLS: Teachers ranked with the QTLS, meaning Qualified Teacher in Learning and Skills are the second tiered teachers who qualified from an NQT. This proves that they have the sufficient skills to conduct a class with their basic knowledge and hold a class’s fluidity quite well.
- NQT: NQT, being the first-ever tier in your subject platform, means that you’re a Newly Qualified Teacher. It is in the first days of your teaching career to ever begin your lessons planned out for the students but with permission from the Head Department.
- TEACHER KNOWLEDGE -
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
⇨ Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
Teachers are the foundations of what we know of today. Without them, we wouldn’t have learned much about the things, we know of. They are the pillars that let us gain great wisdom. They use many strategies in their lessons and give their best efforts to teach to the students. Teachers around the world are always underpaid in my personal opinion. They also work extremely hard in order to ensure the student receives their education the proper way. Still, they still strive to teach us and deliver us from any lack of knowledge, just to excel us to the upcoming years of our academic life.
Regarding their ways on how teachers teach, as said, they have many strategies. Commonly, they use Powerpoint Presentations or maybe even write on a large paper with markets just to pinpoint the very details that we need to know about meanings in the subject.
⇨ What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
MoSCoW - Must have, should have, could have, won’t have.
- CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE -
Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?
[Konstantin Popovich] - Konstantin (Kon) would be a rather tall Russian male standing at an astonishing height of 6’8”. He’d have a muscular body build with gorgeous facial features. He’d have silver-white hair, dark grey eyes, and a scar on his left arm and under his left eye. He usually wears formal attire and would have a scent of expensive French Cologne following him wherever he goes. He’d sometimes be decorated with expensive watches and chains, sometimes even glasses.
As for his outlook on students and teachers, he’s always looking forward to seeing his dear students every morning ready to give them the best classes to help them better themselves at the skill of cooking. He also looks forward to meeting all his fellow co-workers and spending time with them, developing chemistry with one another, and generally bonding with others.
Kon would be a rough figure with a deep, charming voice. Although his posture, looks, and general appearance imitate an intimidating feel off of him, he’s a very humble and kind character. He’s outgoing and friendly with everyone around him. He also takes great pride in his family members and enjoys spending time with them.
Kon believes he has a bright future ahead of him at Karakura High School. His cooking skills are extremely outstanding and he believes that he can impress a lot of students and teach them a new skill in life. He has the intention of remaining a hard-working, committed teacher and performing his job as professionally as possible.
- SCENARIOS -
⇨ You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:
I’d begin by dragging the group aside in a less-crowded area and I’d begin warning them about their inappropriate behavior. If they refuse to listen, I’d give each one detention of around 2 hours. If they still refuse to comply, I’d report them to an SLT member.
⇨ No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
I’d simply clap my hands loudly gaining everyone’s attention. I’d then remind everyone of the importance of this class and that refusal to pay attention will lead to them getting kicked out of class.
⇨ When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
I’d spend most of my time preparing for future lessons or grading student’s behavior and performance in class. Other times, I’d engage in conversation with other teachers getting to know each one of them and a bit about their history and their families.
⇨ Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:
/me He’d take out a neatly folded black apron, unfolding it, and began placing it over his neck. He’d then tie the two ribbons of each side around his waist in a neat knot. He’d then tap his desk lightly, grabbing the class’ attention.
/me He’d take out a plastic chopping board and a red onion. He’d then grab a shiny silver knife from his apron’s pocket and he’d begin slicing each side of the onion, discarding them after. He’d then remove the skin as he began slicing the onion into small cubes in a fast and professional manner. He’d then add the onions into the mixture.
/me He’d open up his desk’s drawer full of equipment. He’d slide his hand into the drawer, searching for an egg beater. Once found, he’d take it out, placing it on the desk. He’d then take out three eggs from the fridge, breaking two eggs with two hands then the third one, and mixing them together firmly using the egg beater.
/me He’d take out some chalk from his chalk pack in his pocket. He’d then begin writing down the ingredients on the chalkboard. Once done, he’d begin explaining the cooking process of the dish and all the do’s and don’t’s of cooking. He’d also warn the students of burning themselves when lighting up the stove.
/me He’d season his raw steak using oil, salt, and pepper. He’d then heat his pan before adding a splash of oil onto it. He’d then carefully begin placing the steak in the pan as it began sizzling in the pan. He’d add a cube of butter and he’d begin covering the steak in the melted butter. He’d flip the steak on the other side leaving each side on exactly 2 minutes.
- BACKSTORY -
Konstantin Popovich, also known as Kon, was born in 1959 in Novosibirsk, Russia. He lived on a small farm in the Russian countryside with his father, mother, and older brother. Konstantin received his basic education at “Secondary School No.91”, a highschool in Novosibirsk. He and his brother studied different fields during their time in high school. Kon’s main interest was Culinary Arts. His brother was interested in the field of Biology, so the two never really had any similar interests. Kon’s father was a retired military commander. He played a big role in the Russian Federation and during the formation of the USSR and his name was widely known and respected throughout the country. After graduating from high school, Kon and his brother did not get the chance to make it to college. They were both called up for military service.
Kon and his brother spent around 9 years in military service. Kon had been working hard in the military but a lot of the generals at the army noticed that he excelled at mainly one thing which was Culinary Arts. He cooked outstanding meals for his fellow Russian comrades during services which attracted the attention of the military higher-ups. They decided to hire him as a military chef cooking for the soldiers on duty. He impressed all the military higher-ups with the delicious dishes he made and was promoted to Head Military Chef and was responsible for feeding all the new army recruits. Kon thrived as Head Chef and made a lot of money and became a very respected character in the army. After 20+ years in the army, he decided to retire and start spending more time with his family.
After some discussion, the Popovich-Kuznetsov family took the decision of travelling to Japan. They decided to settle in Karakura, Japan where each family member began going their own way, doing their own thing. The feeling of being in a new city made Kon miss his glory days and decided to apply to become a Culinary Highschool Teacher at Karakura Highschool. He now begins his Culinary journey once again, in a different environment. . .
