School Employee Role you are Applying For: School Mentor
How often do you log onto the server?: I log on about everyday, to every other day. Unless something were to occur in my life, making me unable to log on. I am generally active afternoons weekdays (4:30 P.M EST-10 P.M). Weekends it can range to more hours.
Do you have discord? Yes, it’s maya!#3098. I am on often, and easy to contact when needed.
Do you have a microphone? Yes
Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?: The only time I have ever been banned was as a joke by previous staff member Adym, due to there a mistake being on my skin. Other than that, I have never been banned for any serious reasons.
Can you ensure that you will often come on: I can ensure this due to the fact that I am already on often each day. Refer to the question regarding my activity on the server.
Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?: I do recognize that I can be ICly fired.
In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee: A school mentor is a person who helps guide, and work with students on many aspects of their school career; Guiding someone with less knowledge, or experience. Generally they work with students who have questions, and need more help being strung along.
Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?: Not too much, if you were to count that my character has helped people in roleplay with some issues they have. Not much experience she can have in this position.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: I have been on the server for about a year, but I have roleplayed probably since I got Minecraft itself. I’ve gained knowledge through myself and learning, and also through my friends/the people around me. I’m a veteran player, and have a good knowledge of the roleplay rules, and with roleplay itself.
Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it: I have read about this position, and have some knowledge on it. Due to my lack of experience in roleplaying as this position, I am referring to what I already know about school mentors. A school mentor should provide guidance, and support students in any ways possible. A beneficial way would be by helping them with general issues. Such as career pathways, difficulties in learning, etc. A mentor should gain trusting relationships with her or his mentee, and should develop a respecting relationship with both parties. Another way to succeed in this position is by helping students maintain all goals, and see things from all perspectives when it comes to mentoring the student. Seeing things eye to eye is a great key, and working off of a solid foundation as a way to stay organized. Helping monitor students, and seeing that they go through with the goals they have created is a great success in a mentors job.
[Situations]
During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?: My character would handle things professionally, and respectfully. She would address the student and let him or her know that it is wrong, and would proceed in asking them to stop. If they don’t, she’d bring it up to either someone of higher authority, or take matters into her own hands by having the student taken out of the current location, or issue a punishment of her own. Though, she would take into consideration that the student could be having a rough time, or could have just dealt with something off of school grounds. She would not get angry, and as I said keep things calm, and respectful.
You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?: She would react calmly, and collectively. My character would attempt the job in a way that is safe, and responsible. If she were to realize she could not do the job without a risk, she would let the principal himself know of it before putting herself into a dangerous situation, as a way to keep her and others safe.
Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?: My character would let them know the situation is risky, and could affect others around them. She would proceed to tell them to stay safe, and responsible on the job. If they were acting out, she’d then tell them that they should not continue what they were previously doing, as it is not acceptable in the school environment. If they were to continue, she’d warn them once more before bringing it up to someone of higher authority.

Motivation for Joining KHS: I believe that KHS has a good foundation of teaching, and a great environment for students to be in. I have seen the school, and have interacted with only a few students that are currently attending. With this knowledge, it is easy to infer the basic behavior of the students. I believe the students in the school have a lot of potential, and are very diligent and I’d love to help them, and guide them through their school careers by addressing and solving any of their current difficulties. I am confident in my methods, and believe I would help the majority of students without a fail.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: I believe I should be accepted over the other applicants because I have a feel, and knowledge for the job. I am determined to succeed in my job, and I do not give up when work becomes challenging. Although I am usually quite carefree, a more organized and careful side of me plays in when it comes to helping and guiding others. From my understanding, my personality would work well, and is basically made for a school environment.
