Link any significant applications (e.g., Roles/Teams, exclude languages):
This is my first ever application, actually.
What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
I would like to include all of my characters in some sort of roleplay, especially this one. I think my aspiration behind it is that it's always inspired me and greatly amazed me how news articles were written, especially the ones in the little newspapers I'd be given as a child. I always had a sort of passion for writing about reports or updates on a situation, whether it be something in a characters story or during roleplay. I've always liked playing that little update person who would make it all fancy and would describe things that would make the whole "juicy drama" seem like a flash news report for others, and I'd like to incorporate that into this very cheesy character.
Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
My current experiences would include signing up for multiple writing competitions before during my middle school years, as well as writing out character stories for my own personal OC's that I've created and drawn. I will be working in storyboarding as a future course during my college years, to which I'll have to have elaborate and good enough writing to describe a coherent storyline.
Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
Yes, I will follow the set rules provided to me.
Why should we accept you over others?:
I do not in any way claim myself as the best, but I claim it'd be a good opportunity for me to be accepted as I can provide a good character in the reports, alongside covering the inactive hours of fellow reporters. I think everyone deserves an equal chance to land the role. I think my ability to talk for hours on end would be a good quality towards this too, given how much I talk I'd have some further experience in how I write reports and interact with fellow reporters. I have been very interested in this faction and would like to prove my interest as much, as well as my knowledge for it.
Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
Yes, I do.
Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
I will try my best to get quota done within beginnings or middles of the month, as I am also an artist in a tailoring server that does the same for quota.
Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
It's a creative job. It's creative work in question. The effort you need to put into the job has to be exact and clear. It's a way for you to express the situation within the writing and editing process of the job. Working as a reporter is a fast-paced, high-pressure, and highly investigative career where it has you uncover, verify, and deliver timely news to the public. It involves intense research, interviewing, and field reporting, requiring flexibility to work long hours and meet strict deadlines when needed. It's a field where you're required to make the topic as eye-catching as possible to the readers and listeners.

Full Name:
Ginevra had been sat in the waiting room, head tilting the exact moment she was called up next. She hummed in compliance, sitting up and fixing her skirt carefully. She adjusted her glasses once, making sure every follicle of hair that made up the bangs on her head, adjusting them to look as physically appropriate as possible.
Walking into the room, she was greeted by the person she expected, an interviewer. Bowing down gently, she stepped up to the seat that they presented in front of her, quietly dragging the chair towards her in one not so quiet motion, placing her carried coat right on top. She had finished her little set upping, sitting down and clearing her voice once. Her hands were clasped underneath the table, tightly held as if she was praying. She had clenched her fingers together hard. It's time for introductions, you cannot mess this part up, Ginevra. As the youngsters would say- you gotta lock in. Her mind was going miles on hour, she was secretly very nervous about this interview. Fixing up her posture once more, she listened intently to her first question. Full name.
"Mm mm, full name... Dun' wear this one out though, kay? That's Ginevra Chisholm, kindly!" She would finish her sentence off with an extension of her hand, lips curved into a grin to present her friendliness to the opportunity she had sitting in the current place as she shook the interviewers hand firmly, trying to assert as much confidence as she could beyond her very lackluster attempt of hiding her nervousness, as her palms began to sweat a tinge.
Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)
Ginevra was a little baffled by the question at first, logically. She hadn't really thought that this would initially be on the expectancy, or requirement for it. She thought about it, placing a finger on her chin while in thought. This was totally normal, actually. It was as simple as her earlier giving her name out. She could totally do this. Just act natural and try to explain it as best as possible without getting into anything completely corny, Ginevra...
"Oh totes~ So ya got Miss Chissy... Ya got Gingin... Ya got Ev's... Ya got Holm... Yaknow? Like Sherlock Holmes! Didya know that Sherlock Holmes was inspired by Dr. Joseph Bell? "
A little unprofessional from our dear Ginevra, one must say. She started going on and on about fun facts, hopping from one rabbit hole to another within mere seconds, completely striving off topic for a moment in front of the interviewer. This earned a clear of her throat, having a fist balled up in front of her mouth as she quietly mumbled.
"My apologies..."
Current Age (25+):
Ginevra finally managed to compose herself after that little incident of a rant, sighing ever so slightly as she watched the person across the table from her write down on the paper underneath their hand. She eyed it, being fully aware she couldn't read it from this angle nor this position, let alone could she read it while it was upside down. Her trance of examining every fiber of that paper was broken by a voice, the voice of the person still across from her.
"I am Twenty-eight, believe me or not! I have this super cool-" She immediately stopped herself, realizing she was about to get into a rant of her glorious collection of face creams that she used every night to keep her naturally young look.
"Mm, yes. I'm Twenty-eight, as I've said." She repeated, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.
Past job/work experience:
Ginevra had been prepared for this one- oh yes she had. That wonderful experience of being in the school's announcement team and the gig she had in a radio office is hopefully going to pay off for her for once!
"Back in Scotland, in the school I attended- I've been picked out as a morning and end shift announcer for the classes for Monday and Friday! Quite a gig, lemme tell ye!"
Her accent peaked here the most, a very happy go-lucky expression on her face as she brought her hands up on the table, still clasped as she maintained keeping her back firm and straight.
"It was all such a joy, actually. I got to sit in the office wif' those cool professors I've had and announce stuff like whenever a student or someone was needed. Also! I had another job there, as a radio announcer. I'd be the one intercomin' the next song or those lil' wacky weather reports and such."
She finished, giving a satisfied sigh as she finally got her fair share of her story out.
Degree/qualifications:
She nodded her head at the question, again placing her finger on her chin in thought. This is just about your qualifications and the degree you obtained finishing University... Lock in, Ginevra! You can't miss the opportunity of your life time anymore, you're already fumbling the whole conversation with useless facts!
"Communications and Journalism is what I studied back in the day- it's actually why I took up those gigs I had in highschool and wif' the radio!" She exclaimed, raising her hands up towards herself to lightly gesture in the moment.
Nationality and born location:
It was time to share her place of birth, a logical part of this interview. She cleared her throat, a look of pure proudness to her nation showing on her face.
"I am a proud Scot girl. Scotland is very dear to me, yaknow! I jus' got here like..." She thought for a moment, again, like she does... When exactly did she arrive in Karakura, again? She couldn't remember the exact amount of days, but she could only blurt out with some unsureness to herself.
"Maybe... I've been here a month or so, now?"
Phone Number:
With the question posed, she nodded her head- reaching into the pocket of the coat she brought with her as she pulled her phone out, shifting her body back around to face straight as she scrolled through her phone with haste, almost frantic. Finally eyeing it, she chirped.
"(030)... and a dashh... 704... another dashh.... 6164! So (030)-704-6164!"
How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
"Describe myself? See... Ya usually get someone else to do it- I could- Aaahh... I'll bias on accident, but- I'll try my best." She cleared her throat. Okay, now it took for her to completely describe what kind of person she was like, and try to make it under 150 words.
She was not cut-out for this, at all. What was she going to say? Should she start counting the amount of words she's said, too? It's all too much to think about...
One deep sigh giving her a moment of clarity, Ginevra opened her mouth and let the words flow like one big waterfall, all smoothly coming together to form a long description...
"Ginevra Chisholm. She’s one of the easiest people to be around as she has this mellow, happy-go-lucky energy that makes everything feel lighter and airy. She’s the type to shrug and say, “I don’t mind, you choose,” and actually mean it—not because she doesn’t care, but because she’s genuinely relaxed and open to whatever happens. She naturally creates a welcoming atmosphere as she tries her best, and Ginevra listens closely, laughs easily, and makes people feel comfortable just by being her utmost self. She doesn’t chase attention; it just sort of finds her because of how warm and approachable she is. And then there’s her collection of completely random fun facts. Somehow, she always knows the strangest little details about the world. Conversations with her never stay dull for long—she’ll drop you an unexpected fact that leaves everyone both confused and impressed."
Good, just right under the nose of 150 words. She was proud of herself, sighing in big relief- like a whole weight got dropped off both her shoulders. Having finally finished, she looked up at the interviewer, a gentle- but nervous smile on her face.
"Hope that wasn't biased!"
What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
Ginevra tilted her head ever so slightly, trying to get into the best angle for thinking. See, even though she was signing up for a reporter position, she didn't really have any clue at first... It took her a whole thought-train process before she shrugged with her shoulders, placing her hands down on her lap gently.
"I'd try writing more on the un-covered situations that don't get brought up. I feel... I feel that, although I haven't seen it yet myself- People's deaths don't get enough attention to cover the news, not unless it's an important person in mind."
Her throat ached a bit, ever so slightly. Was this really something she should be bringing up? The whole thing was sort of out of her comfort zone, given she did NOT like talking about the concept of death in the slightest.
"I think I'd like to challenge myself with... covering that kind of stuff. Yes, I wanna write more about unsolved crimes or cases, too. Bring them back to life an' sprout, ya know? It's in an attempt to... Just... Get them finally solved."
She exclaimed to the interviewer, a sort of a sad look in her eyes for a split moment. Her head was slightly bowed down, her thick bangs covering a good portion of her face. She raised her head up immediately, trying to bring her cheery character back on display.
What are your expectations for the job?:
Ginevra went quiet for a moment, which was a bit odd in her character. She didn't know how to explain it to them, but this felt reasonable to bring up.
"I just... Need the bare minimum. Respect from the co-workers too. I just... I just hope to not get harassed for the way I interact with the people." It was unusual of her to suddenly get all gloomy mid-interview, but it was unfortunately the truth for her. She had always dealt with weird backhanded comments for the way she spoke, her accent and all given. She didn't know how to deal with it, that's why she wanted to annoy the ever-loving hell out of people. Her voice was the problem? Well, she was going to broadcast it all over Karakura, now. Even maybe some day the whole World.
Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
Ginevra put a hand on her collarbone, almost like she was insulted. Pointing towards her face in a bit of surprise, she peeped up. "Me?! Nope! Clean as a whistle!" Simple and quick, all that needed to be said.
Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
"Fluent in all the sorts! Gaelic, English, Japanese, I can do a lil' bit of Sign Language too! There was this suuuuper cool course back in highschool that my classmates made me take- But it was soo worth it, cuz' now I kno' the bases of how to do sum basic signs!" She yapped on and on about it, practically beaming about her wide variety of tongues spoken.
PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)
#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.
The two pages presented to the reader would clearly indicate as to who wrote it, giving them a sign that this whole report was about to be interesting.
"BREAKING NEWS! Recent outrage with the trash, raccoons and rats?! Animals gone WILD!"
PEOPLE SUDDENLY ATTACKED! WHAT'S WITH THIS OUTBREAK?
Citizens of Karakura recently reported that on March 1st 2026 there was an outbreak of rats and raccoons scattered all across the streets of the main circle and block of the area around the Plaza. Garbage had been pulled out and spread all across the pavement and streets of the area, causing for a big hysteria and dilemma! Animals have suddenly gone rouge and were running around with a few screws loose, even getting to the point of biting people!
WHAT ARE THE PEOPLE SAYING? WHAT IS BEING DONE?
This had caused an outrage and an unpleasant remark to everyone hurt and involved in the rascal rush, having been taken and checked up all in the Karakura Hospital for their injuries! Not long after, a paid clean-up service member arrived, quickly and efficiently exterminating all of the critters that roamed where they were not meant to.
[!] A photo of the exterminator and the rats, as well as fire all around plaza would be attached near the box of text.
THE MAYORS RESPONSE?
People were furious about this sudden and unexpected outrage, taking it up to the mayor of Karakura, Mr. Iwao Akihito.
[!] A photo of the mayor would be attached next to the text.
All that this public speaking brought was more outrage, absolute sheer disappointment from the netizens as they brought up a previously discussed topic of the Sewer Cave-in outbreak. Many protestors were not happy with the response, having been promised by the mayor that he will try to include himself more into the situation of this town.
#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.
A loud buzz occupied the audio recording the moment it was slotted in to play, several beeps were heard alongside it. The audio quality was crisp and smooth.
[!] Every now and then, a 'BEEP' would be audible to cover up information deemed private.
"Mic test... mic test... BEEP test... BEEP BEEP BEEP. Okie, it works!"
"All that fancy equipment..." Cooed from another female voice, as if it was making itself known to the listeners. It had that same undertone of slight playfulness that Ginevra was projecting, her voice laced with a thickness of an accent a gyaru girl could pull off.
"Okay, how do they do these... Ok! Titled; Fashion Club thoughts. Interview led by Ginevra Chisholm, date is... February 24th 2026. at... 12:30 PM! Today, we are accompanied by a student named BEEP BEEEEEP. So, BEEP, for yer first question- what do you think of the fashion club?"
"Mhh, my thoughts on it? Well, as someone who jus' got interested recently... I'd say it's a pretty unique gig ya get on the side! Think about it, ya get to go and doll yarself up all nice n' pretty right after a looong and boooring day in classes!"
Some quiet writing sounds could be heard, likely coming from Ginevra herself as she breaks the ice in the moment with the next question.
"You said you participate the club after school., correct? What would be some of the things you could do, what's provided within the club?"
"Duh, to begin with- fashion! Ya got butt-loads of-"
"Miss BEEP, please try to keep my interview and submission as friendly as possible."
"O- Sorry!~ Anyways... As I was saying, you get a good amount o' makeup to work with around here, as well as other supplies like-"
[!] Rummaging could be heard, a few cabinet doors were being opened as the recorder kept going, silence in both of the girls voices before the gyaru gal spoke up.
'See see, there's lots in here!" One could assume the girl was pointing during this "We got loads of hair dye and hair spray... ya got some bowls in here, there's also multiple brushes in this other cabinet, you got-"
She paused, likely opening more to show off to our sweet Ginevra. "-stacks of towels here, there's also these make up sets here... there... some over theeeeere if ya look behind ya- Yup, there. Weeee got clothes in thaaat closet... some dresses up there... I think there's a few other accessories in these other closets but... There's some shoes too, AND OVERALL, so much more!"
"So the club is stacked, yis yis... That's all good! Okie-dokes, next question on the line would beee... How do you consider the club useful? What can you say about that?"
"Ouuh, okay. SO. What I can tellya is that the club could potentially improve someone's skill of like- Okayuh, put it like this. Ya dunno how to for exaaample... do a stitch. Ya cannot figure it out for the LIFE of you, right? Or, per se- how to layer clothing properly to fit your frame the most. Everything in here is like girl-talk and all, it's all some tips and help that we provide to one another while learning and engaging in stuff! Does that make sense...?" The girl chirped her answer happily, clenching her hands the moment she finished and awaited the reply from the interviewer.
"Mm mm... Yis yis. I see this is all like- in the spirit of teamwork, ye?"
"Totally!"
"Okiee, moving on... Now, speakin' of teamwork- how do the other members interact with one another? How's the atmosphere in the club?"
"Ooh, so- well. It's nothin' special, really. All of us have been gettin' along real nice n' well since the start, let me tell ya! It's all smooth sailing ever since I joined, it's all just people tryin' to help one anotha', really!"
"Mm mm, makes sense." Silence broke out between the two of them again, a light scribble being heard on the tape recording.
Walking could suddenly be heard, as Ginevra seemed to be going around the room and looking, slight hums of approval coming from her voice.
"On to question number five- Do you think the club could potentially earn more members? Is there any other way to promote it?"
"Eehh... I think by hanging up some posters about something like- a competition of some sort... or just some lessons or tips to be given out could make do for that, but if I had to further it a bit- I think asking other clubs to put in a good word for us wouldn't be that bad, no?"
"Interesting... And what about the posters? What are they gonna talk about?"
"Humm... Maybe something big n' flashy like... "Join the Fashion Club today and have a taste of the runway!" Or... something... Seems catchy, nah?"
A light fit of giggling could be heard, coming from the gyaru and the reporter.
"Okiee, next up- feedback. Members or people who have visited the club and had a look at it's services and offers, what have they thought about it? Have they submitted any feedback to the club?"
"Oh, that's a good question- actually. We do actually have a small box near the front that- yeah, this one- Yes, here... So we have people put down any suggestions or recommendations, as well as give feedback once they're done touring around and asking us questions! It's usually all positive, though some college kids have dropped in totes negative paper slips just because they had nothin' better to do with themselves, humph!"
"Okie, speaking of- How's the interest rate for the club? Do people ask about joining frequently, or is this a rare thing?"
Silence erupted once again, the gyaru probably pondered for a bit. Suddenly, another voice spoke up from behind Ginevra.
"People. Interested."
"HYAAA- Oh me goshhh! I didn't see you!"
". . .Okay."
"WELL- HI BEEP! I'm doin' a lil' interview for da club, ya wanna say somethin'? It's about the interest in-"
"People have joined. People very interested in club."
"Can ya tell me more? What aspect is there that got it to be so interesting to others? Why do you reckon it caught people's eye?"
"Clothes. Cute. Fashion is nice."
Silence occupied the audiofor a bit, as the newfound guest joined this recording and the gyaru had let her go at it.
"Okay then, Ms. BEEP , what do you think would be the pros and the cons of the fashion club? What do you reckon could be changed, and what are it's redeeming qualities?"
"Yeesh that's a lot... BEEP, if ya want me to, I can-"
"Club lacks some tools. Lacks pretty clothes. I make pretty clothes. Redeem qualities... Good things... The club is good thing."
The girl spoke in an obvious Russian accent, clearly having very little knowledge of Japanese as she tried to explain her case. She could understand it, but barely knew how to speak.
"The club is good."
"Okie dokie, I believe ya. So, either of ya can answer this for me-"
Ginevra Chisholm cleared her throat, tapping her pen against the little notepad she had kept in her hand all this time. With a smile that couldn't be noticed on the audio recording, she had asked them the very last question for this interview.
"Would you both recommend the club to new students?"
"DUH!"
"Yes."
Plain and simple, it was all it took for Ginevra to conclude this with one big happy "Yay" that she let out right after their answers.
"Ginevra Chisholm, interview titled Fashion Club, the time is now... 13:16 PM! This concludes the end of the interview, and the end of this recording."
"BAI BAA-"
[!] Silence cuts in like a blade as the audio finally finishes, concluding the end.
