DanOstrava

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
DanOstrava (danostrava)

What is your time zone?:
CET/CEST, (GMT+1)/(GMT+2)

Describe your activity on the server:
I am a college student with a rather flexible schedule, allowing me to maintain activity on the server.

My current playtime is:
1785685614496.png

This was influenced by a rather long break i had to take due to personal circumstances.
Those times have passed however, meaning my activity is returning to the norm.

On average, I usually spend around 4-7 hours on SRP per day, depending on what is currently happening.
This is influenced by my membership in the Occult Club and a security job at Pinkumo.

my general schedule is as follows:
Monday: 17:15 - 22:00
Tuesday: 16:15 - 23:00
Wednesday: 8:00 - 12:00 | 16:15 - 23:00
Thursday: 8:00 - 12:00 | 18:00 - 23:00
Friday: 8:00 - 23:00
Saturday: 10:00 - 23:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 22:00

Note: College obligations (exams/other important stuff) may occasionally require my attention, however, i will always communicate any and all forseeable schedule changes.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I do.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Receptionist.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
While the position of a Receptionist might seem strictly administrative on the surface, it is actually one of the most vital roles to the school. This is mainly because of new players getting into roleplay and not knowing where to go or what to do in school. The receptionists also serve as a 'help center' to satiate any questions (regarding school) what might students or faculty have. Another important thing they do is help students redeem their stickers for various rewards.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I would consider myself fairly experienced in roleplay.
I have participated in multiple Dungeons & Dragons and TTRPG campaigns, which helped me develop strong character interaction, long-term storytelling, and in-character decision-making.
I could also mention other roleplays of mine, but they are rather unorganizable into a single theme, let's leave it at me loving roleplay.

If I were to talk about SchoolRP, I am a member of the Occult Club, and I have a part-time job in Pinkumo. I have first encountered SRP back in 2016 (if memory serves right that is), but since I was rather shy, I didn't participate much. This has changed when I returned back at summer 2025, from which I have played since. (except the half-year pause due to personal reasons.)

I love roleplaying and I put in a lot of effort into my characters, their personalities, backstories and their development and interactions.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
My main motivation for joining the School Employee faction is the opportunity to engage in grounded, everyday roleplay that directly supports the student body and the server community. Having experienced the roleplay from a student's point of view, I am especially keen on seeing school roleplay from the faculty perspective, stepping into a supportive, adult role that helps shape the atmosphere for others.

The Receptionist position specifically appeals to me because it serves as the guide to all the new players, as well as a recognizable and friendly face to all the people coming into the school.
As someone who mostly plays quite approachable characters, I want to become a reliable and a welcoming person to both new and old players alike.
Ultimately, I wish to fill in a role, which contributes to the school, work alongside teachers and other faculty members, and help maintain an active, helpful presence at the reception desk.

Situations

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
"Akari is a very reasonable and chill person, if someone thinks Akari is pathetic, then no clue why. Nevertheless, Akari would ask them to stop cursing. Saying curses and calling people names is not a way to solve issues one has with another person, it is usually done in a calm and civilised manner. If this were to continue, Akari would give the student detention (for disorderly conduct on school grounds)."

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
"Hmh... Akari would radio in this immediately and step in to stop the two from fighting. After this situation has settled, both students would be checked for injuries and treated accordingly. Then both students would recieve a detention slip. No fights are necessary on school grounds."

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
"Well, depending on what this dangerous activity is, Akari would evacuate any and all students from the vicinity of this colleague, if there are any. Then Akari would ask what is the coworker doing, and if they realize that it is indeed dangerous. If they were to disregard Akari, they would take away the option to act cool about it, and would very likely force Akari to report them to the SLT."

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
"Akari is usually a really friendly person, but doesn't approach people on her own much. This is usually because Akari doesn't want to disturb her colleagues peace while in the break room. Most likely would be eating sweets while enjoying the break for a bit."

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me
would lean comfortably on the reception desk, lightly stretching her head to the sides, all while monitoring the hallways that sprawl around the reception desk "Ah, another beautiful day in our school. Akari welcomes you all to our great school." She would then nod at her colleague, who has just arrived through the school entrance "Looking sharp today, aren't we? Hope you have an amazing day today!"

/me would tilt her head a tiny bit, looking the student up and down before finally speaking "Sooo, what brings you to the reception today? Here for a question, are we? Alrighty, let's see..." Akari would wait for the student to ask what they needed. "Oh, the classes? Well, let's see... There are 2 classes upcoming in the next period, these two-" Akari would point her finger at the students notebook. "If you need any help with further navigating the schoolgrounds, feel free to ask any staff around."

/me would comfortably lean against the reception desk, taking out the radio communicator "Good morning faculty, how are we feeling today?" Visibly pleased with how today is going, humming a chill tune from time to time.

Backstory
The Hardship

Akari grew up in a struggling family, the eldest of five siblings. With both her mother and father constantly away on business trips, the weight of responsibility fell squarely on her shoulders from an early age. She had no other choice but to take care of her younger brothers and sisters, each with their own quirks, needs, and personalities.

Yuki, the quiet one, often clung to her side. Riku, ever rebellious, constantly tested her patience. Kaito, the daydreamer, always lost in his own world. Little Hana idolized Akari, calling her "Mama Aki."

To keep food on the table and the lights on, Akari worked relentlessly, day and night, juggling part-time jobs between and after school. Her grades began to slip, how could they not, when she stayed up through the night working and barely got more than a few hours of sleep before class? The constant stress, pressure, and creeping depression eventually took their toll. Desperate for something to dull the pain, Akari turned to drinking. At first, it was just a little to take the edge off, but it spiraled quickly, and one night, it nearly cost her her life.
The Breakpoint

She was found passed out, dangerously intoxicated, and was rushed to the hospital. It was there she met a compassionate paramedic who didn’t just patch her up, she talked to her, listened, and shared her own story of hardship.

Akari never forgot her words: "You can't carry the world on your back if you're too broken to walk."

That moment changed everything.

Determined to reclaim control, Akari sought treatment, quit drinking, and began setting boundaries for herself. She structured her days carefully, balancing school, work, and rest, learning not to overwork her body or her mind. She realized she didn’t have to do everything perfectly; she just had to keep trying.

One night, while working a night shift at a local shop, Akari noticed flashing lights and loud shouting from across the street. It was the corner store in her hometown. Something felt wrong. She ran across the road and kicked open the door, only to see her two siblings, Yuki and Hana, huddled behind a shelf. Armed robbers were threatening the cashier.

Her heart stopped. Then it caught fire.

One of the thugs had noticed her siblings and began mocking them, shoving them around for fun. Akari’s fear turned to rage. Without thinking of her own safety, she threw herself into the fray, tackling one of the assailants. The others jumped on her, and a brutal fight broke out. It was three against one, but Akari didn’t back down. She took punches, even a few hits from a baseball bat, but she got back up. Every time. She refused to fall, not while her siblings' lives were on the line.

The chaos gave the shopkeeper just enough time to call the police. When they arrived minutes later, they found Akari still fighting, bloodied but standing, shielding her siblings. The thugs were arrested, and Akari received first aid from officers before the paramedics arrived. True to form, she insisted on checking on everyone else, her siblings, the cashier, even one of the trembling bystanders, before allowing herself to be taken into the ambulance.

From that day on, her siblings saw her as more than a sister, they saw her as their protector. Their real mother in all but name.
The Change

Ever since arriving to Karakura for studies, Akari has been falling on hard times. Years went by and she had witnessed several gangs and criminals. She wanted to change that, so she had applied for the KPD, multiple times, and once for the EMS.

Unfortunately, this did not yield any results, as she was always rejected. This, along with a small nudge from a friend of hers, led her to join into a gang. This gang was disguised as a vigilante group making sure to disrupt other gangs and make it easier for the KPD to destroy them for good (or for them to fall apart on their own.) The gang was short-lived and soon fell apart.

Akari had realized that this act was still against the law, and started to repent right away.
The Repent

Akari felt such guilt that when she met her at that time girlfriend's parents for the first time, she had to confess. Then she had promised she would never ever do anything bad ever again. From that day forward, Akari started to actively look for jobs again, reinvigorated and now more ready than ever to set things straight...

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
"Due to circumstances in early life, Akari spent most of her teenage looking after her younger siblings. Taking on that responsibility at such young age has deeply shaped her worldview, instilling a strong and protective instinct towards the young ones. To Akari, joining the Faculty is a natural continuation to this experience. Akari views working with students as more than a simple job, it is more of an opportunity to guide, support, and look out for the newer generations coming after us, offering a safe and welcoming presence whenever they need help, direction, or simply talk."

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
"Akari is a very hard working individual, not to mention caring for others, be it children, or colleagues. Even in stressful situations, Akari is calm and collected. In casual situations, on the other hand, Akari is thriving to be an easy-going and cool person. All this leads Akari to believe she is percieved as a nice person to keep around."

Extra

Additional notes about your application:
All the text in quotation marks is to be taken icly, Akari speaks in 3rd person.

Do you have any questions?:
I do not believe so at this time.
