Backstory:
Daphne was the love child of an American actress and a Japanese actor, being born in the place where dreams are supposedly made. Her parents split up when she was young, her father being sent back to Japan for false papers and such. That left her mother to raise her alone in L.A., having to juggle her acting career and motherhood. Daphne didn't mind this one bit, as a matter of fact she had always looked up to her mother and still does. Daphne was always the star of the show in her youth, having participated in a plethora of pageants and things of that nature. Her mother was always so proud of Daphne, seeming to put her up on a pedestal for all of her friends and coworkers to see. Daphne was always told she was going to do great things, and boy does she believe that! Daphne's biggest dream is to become a worldwide star in the modeling and acting industry, and frequently puts herself on strict diets and exercise regimens to keep her beautiful shape. Daphne has even tried her hand at singing, but soon dropped it because she didn't feel very passionate about it. Daphne always had lots of friends, but she had lots of enemies as well. People didn't always appreciate her bluntness when it comes to looks and fashion, usually hurting someone's feelings when she is simply just trying to be helpful. This caused her to be in the middle of two cliques in high school, and people saw her as a snobby rich girl. This hatred led to her getting mugged and beaten by neighborhood thugs that went to her high school one night, scarring her for life. She still doesn't carry a purse to this day.
Daphne's mother decided Daphne needed to broaden her horizons while she trained, and sent her to Japan to learn about her culture, and not just about kale shakes. While in Japan, Daphne had a tearful reunion with her father and patched up her relationship with him. She now finds herself going to college at Karakura, hoping to make lasting friendships and impressions on the people she may meet there. She still diets and practices her runway walk, as she is very serious about her future career. She hopes to make loads of new friends and connections during her time in Japan.
