Describe your activity on the server:
I would describe my activity on 8.36/10 on the server. Starting in late 2022, I have gathered over 44 weeks worth of playtime or over 7000 hours in just a few years. I have been playing almost everyday besides some minor breaks and vacations. Typically I spend around 5-10 hours on SRP daily, so on average I have spent 6.8 hours a day roleplaying on SRP. Right now I have an insane amount of free time due to me not being in a faction and have no major roleplay activities going on currently. So in short: I am a very free person, who spends way too much time on srp.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
Gangrp
After joining srp in October of 2022, I got involved in roleplay and playing srp full time not too long after joining, with a starting point of gangrp. Using gangrp as a foundation for myself to grow from, I used that to meet people, expand my connections, work on detailrp, and many more key roleplay learning experiences. Lots of people I met during my early days of SRP/gangrp I still talk to today.
Football
Though moving into late 2023 I started to have thoughts about joining football. As faith would have it, the college exams would open. Passing the exams I would be accepted into college icly. Joining College Male Football only a few days later. I stayed on football until earlier this year, I believe this was my biggest growth as a roleplayer since.
KPD internship
Also having done an internship for kpd during the internship period that factions had. It made me open up to emergency factions, and appreciate the things they do as a whole.
I believe these main periods of my srp career shaped me into the roleplayer I am today.
What is your motivation for applying?
During these past few months, my roleplay dried up slightly after I took a short break from srp, especially ever since I left the football team. Therefore that made me want to explore other aspects of SRP, such as EMS! And honestly I have been eyeing EMS applications for a short while now. That, and my mostly positive experiences with EMS sparked interest to apply in the faction and give it a try myself! Additionally I have a lot of free time currently, and would love to occupy myself with something in the meantime. I also know that factions are a great way to meet new people, make connections, and especially develop further my character. I also enjoy DetailRP a lot, and some forms of it are only unique and special to certain factions, such as giving therapy, which is why I chose to apply for a Psychiatrist spot. Overall I would also love to help with the faction's activity, and try and boost it up! Also I am more than sure that the hospital faction can be a great learning experience for me, learning about how everything works behind the scenes, what it's like to give therapy, and overall for once to try a character that will be an adult! At the end of the day I would love to be a part of this faction and all the reasons above drive forward my motivation to apply and stay dedicated.
Which role are you applying for?
(Doctor or Psychiatrist)
Psychiatrist
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
From my current knowledge the hospital mainly breaks into three departments, each with their respective ranks which I will briefly explain about below:
The Emergency Department: The Emergency Department is composed of paramedics who can respond to calls outside of the hospital. In case an individual needs medical attention and cannot make it to the hospital. They also work hand in hand with KPD and provide their assistance if needed. Although this role is not one you can apply for, you must meet certain requirements after joining EMS.
The doctor department: This department is made up of doctors and is the primary department that will treat your character physical injuries. Whether they arrive via the Emergency Department or another means. However they are not limited to just patching up wounds, and can also perform diagnostic processes and check-ups!
Psychiatry Department: This is the hospital's psychiatric unit, which is mainly made up of psychiatrists. Among their responsibilities is to diagnose different mental health conditions, and offer treatment plans for them, provide therapy or even consultation to Karakura's citizens, and sometimes even handle different psychological emergencies like a violent patient or a panic attack. I am also pretty sure that psychiatrists can take care of the more basic injuries if a doctor is not available.
Each department also has its own respective ranks. Both the doctor and psychiatrist department seem to share the same ranking system that follows this chain of command: trainee ---> resident ---> attending. On top there's also the higher-up team, which oversees the entire department and has more authority over the others. And finally, there's also the paramedic department, which has the paramedics in it, and their respective higher-ups.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I acknowledge that.

Character Backstory (Optional):
Masi Yamada, the loving, favorite child (and only) to Ms. Shiori Yamada. Masi's early days were quite normal and relaxed unlike a lot of people in Karakura. Sure Masi of course fell, beat himself up, got some scars as a child, but what child doesn't? He was a pretty wild guy.. probably why Shiori is the way she is now. He of course went to school, learned how to ride a bike, played sports and made a ton of friends! Going into Elementary school and middle school he was a great student, his mother made sure it stayed that way. Skipping his way along high school he got into trouble here and there, his mother constantly in his ear, blah blah blah. Getting to the important part of his life, of him being in college and football. Upon getting into college he would join college M football where he would stay all the way until his mother told him to get his act together, stop goofing around and send him to college.. College is where he would study to become a psychiatrist! Leading to where he is now.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)
Masi decided to pursue his education at Yale, where he chose general psychiatry as his medical specialty. Thanks to help from his family, he managed to fulfill his dream and started studying aboard. That particular specialty peeked his interest more over the other options due to its nature. General psychiatry was the basics of the basics. A pretty common speciality that offered stability and was commonly found in most clinics/hospitals. But aside from helping him secure a stable job, listening to gossip and the story telling was always among Masi's favorite activities. Diving into someone's headspace to unpack their past traumas or try and direct them in the right path made it a really easy choice. For him it felt like being a detective, figuring out why things are the way they are in someone's head, and what would be the best possible way to aid that patient and figure a way out of the mess.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Masi focused most of his attention on his own studying during his stay abroad, and decided to return back home to Karakura once he graduated. Being abroad, far away from his home, family and friends always felt grateful for him. While he was surely excited and eager to start and experience the college life abroad, he couldn't leave everything else behind just like that. He chose to return back home once he graduated, and get his first residency in Japan. Fresh out of college, with his fancy degree from Yale, he could only look forward to actually getting some real experience, and see how far off the college classes actually were from reality.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Standing at an incredible height of 5'11.99 (Five foot eleven and ninetynine hundredths of an inch), Masi has an athletic physique, since he continues to work out even though his prime years are likely over by now. Even though he never grew to be 6 feet tall, he never let that challenge his confidence. He has always been a little silly, blunt, and somewhat unserious, yet he can stiffen up quickly when it comes to anything serious. If he considers it important at the very least. With him still working out and playing football on the side, he makes sure to keep his quads in good shape! Masi has always desired to be seen in a positive light, rather than a bad one. Mostly because he can be a bit of a clown and jokester at times, but he prefers that people think positively about him. He wants everyone to treat him with the same respect as his mother.. Even though he is unlikely to get that treatment at first, he remains pretty positive that some day he’d be just as scary as her..!
How does your character act around the hospital?
Upon walking clocking into his shift at the hospital, Masi makes sure to put on a neutral face expression, accompanied with a calm presence. You don't know what people could be going through in the lobby. Due to the nature of his working environment, he prefers to study the situation first, and only then change his emotions accordingly. That ‘straight face’ could seem slightly uninviting. Why? probably to get people not to talk to him in the morning, he surely wasn't a morning person. But behind closed doors his true self comes out, putting on more of a board faced look he’d go over to look at his schedule, checking for appointments, making a joke to someone that was perhaps poorly timed, he'd cough and use coffee as an excuse to walk away from the awkward situation. Drinking his coffee, he'd then go down to the front desk waiting for his next patient to show up. There are about only two things in the city that can scare him, and that is talking to his boss.. And his mother. So when he has to talk to either of them, he always makes sure it is sun shines and rainbows for his personality, keeping cool under pressure even if he has to face their wrath. At training he might act a bit out of order for a moment, throwing around a few jokes, messing around or what not.. Maybe reality hasn't hit him yet, after all being a jock had shaped his personality a lot? He is still in his 20’s living his life. At the end of the day he tends to be a bit of a class clown that can sharpen up when needed. Masi Yamada is a bright, fun individual.. Or at least he thinks he is...!
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Doing sports for a majority of his teens and 20’s he has gotten a pretty strong leadership skill making him a defendant people person. In turn he obviously prefers working with people. With strong skills of clear communication, and working in a team environment it allows him to work and function with people, rather than himself. He believes in the saying; ‘Work smarter, not harder’ and working harder is working by yourself, so he always prefers to work ‘smarter’ with a team, not himself. Working with teams for a good portion of his life he has learned how to deal with people like him, people with egos, hardheaded folks, and every type of person from A to Z. People he hates the MOST are people with egos, who think they're better than everyone and bark orders. That's sometimes where his attitude to work in a team environment gets put to the test. He also strongly dislikes players though that's a story for another day.
