Cave
Level 10
(I believe this should go in general, my apologies if I should have put it somewhere else.)
So I'm sure everyone knows about the new pocket-money system. You log on and wait thirty minutes and you get money, bam. At first glance it seemed great: Log on, stay for thirty minutes, you get money. But when you think about it, it starts to look more negative...
So since I am in the college level, I get 425 yen per 30 minutes. People below college level get less. Now, let's do the calculation for how much you would get per day with this system:
425 yen ⋅ (24h ⋅ 2) = 20400 yen.
That would be being online non stop for an entire day. None (or very few) of us would do that. I will say you are on for 5 hours a day and are a college student.
425 yen ⋅ (5h ⋅ 2) = 4250 yen.
Looking like a bit less, now, isn't it? You even would have to be on for four hours straight (which many can not accomplish).
Now with the old pocket-money system, if you were on for roughly 10 minutes and you have been on for a week (or was it five days?) in a row, you would get 5500 yen. That is a difference of 1250 yen, even more for people below college level.
If you were on for an entire week for 10 minutes (with the maximum amount of pocket-money in the old system):
5500 yen ⋅ 7d = 38500 yen (yes, of course you would spend some).
If you were on for an entire week for five hours (with college rank in the new system):
4250 yen ⋅ 7d = 29750 yen (yes, again, of course you would spend some).
38500 yen - 29750 yen = 8750 yen.
That is a difference of 8750 yen, even more for those below college rank.
Not all people can even be on for 5 hours everyday of the week.
Yes, I know we voted for this to be added, but we made an innocent mistake. I believe that this new pocket money system was has good intentions, but fails to execute what we thought we were getting.
I don't want to cause any distress among anyone, but I want to at least see the opinions of the other players.
Thank you for voting or at least reading.
