Out-Of-Character Information

What is your Minecraft username?: delinquon

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
nightwalkerfungi#0

How old are you? (Optional):
19

What is your time zone?:
EEST

Describe your activity on the server:
As I am currently getting back into being active on SRP, my current hours range from 2.5 to my previous 6+. As I continue to play, my hours will most likely be ranging from four to six hours per day, during the weekdays. During weekends, I may stay on longer throughout the day.

Have you ever been banned (If yes, when and why?):
No.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Naturally, the server needs active faculty. This is understood completely, however I do not think this will be an issue for me.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Nurse

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
School nurses give medical assistance to injured students, whether it's a sprained ankle or a passed out student. They do everything in their ability (and medical training) to help students, and in need of major medical procedures, they contact hospital staff. For example, in case a student needs stitches. Nurses often sit at their desk, helping out students should they require medical help. They also help enforce school rules in minor instances, and keep the office area clear in case of emergencies.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I have up to 6+ years of general, frequent experience with roleplay. I started off with writing silly stories in friend groups, to joining DnD campaigns, to literate roleplays on sites such as discord or amino. I also partook in many minecraft roleplays, and those days have taught me a lot about character building, all the way to building story arcs and detailed backstories for all of my characters.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
In simple words, I miss being a part of the school faculty on SRP. In my humble opinion, I was good at the job as well. I love helping out students, interacting with fellow employees and furthermore, bringing something meaningful to the table. I'm passionate about the job, and even in my caretaker days I'd daydreamed of switching factions due to my love for nursing and general medical roleplay.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Having worked in a kindergarten before applying for the position of a school nurse, Evelynn is by no means new to childish behavior. She handles these situations with care, remaining open but firm with the student to enforce school policy. She finds it best to not provoke the student, only remind them of rules related to policy on cussing, and respect towards school faculty. She has far more important pains to focus on than a cussing student, there's nothing wavering her from remaining cool and professional.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

First and foremost, Lynn gets on the radio for assistance. If nothing more than to let the other faculty know about said fight. The more the merrier, yes? Positioning herself between the fighting pair, she'd make sure no further physical escalations will be made in her presence. Now, the what, who and why? What started this, who were involved, and why? It is crucial in situations like this to hear both sides of the story for a fair judgement to be made. As the situation is solved, she'd instruct both students to go their merry ways into separate directions and refrain from causing havoc again. In place of injury, the injured will be taken to the office to get patched up. Detention is to be handed out if necessary.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

Evelyn's first reaction is to pull the employee aside, to confirm and ask what is up with this inappropriate behavior. Afterall, you shouldn't only trust what your eyes see. She'd call them out on said behavior, not afraid to take it up with the higher ups regardless of whether the employee will discontinue their behavior or not. Despite prioritising students' health, she is also worried for her coworkers. She'd want to know what's going on in their life that has gotten them to this position.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

Evelyn is a bubbly and bright woman, only just having hit her mid thirties. That being said, she's unusually chipper for her age, especially considering her position. ''Go big or go home'', she says! Greeting coworkers left and right, chatting them up until duty calls, and checking in on their well-being is all incredibly important to Lynn, and doing so brightens her own day all the same! She downs her coffee first thing in the morning, as if her life depends on it, often helping herself to another cup! This woman is at a hundred all the time, isn't she?

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
sat at her desk, filing through paperwork and all the while sipping on a cup of homemade chai latte. Mornings like this were her favourites, the sun is only rising and already students are up and about socialising! She laughed a friendly, hearty laugh at a passing student bidding her good morning, giving her enthusiastic wave back. So early, and already there was so much to do! As soon as she finished her papers, she tossed the empty carton mug in the trash can by her seat and stretched. First off, she'd make sure her first aid kit was in working condition... Ah, what a start to the day!
/me
helped the limping student to a vacant bed, assisting them in sitting down comfortably. A sprained ankle is definitely a pain in... The ankle, she supposed! Firstly the chipper woman prepped an ice pack with a fluffy towel, instructing the student to hold it against the swelling spots. Why the towel? it helps distribute the cold evenly, and not ice the injury completely! Not that that was possible, but it's a fun way to say it, right?
/me
yawned, stretching all cat-like in the now quiet nurse's office. The end of the day was her favourite, when she'd get to sort all the equipment for the next workday, file any necessary reports, and see if there was any assistance needed in detention! She checked the list; just one for today! She supposed the caretaker on duty could handle it as promised the hour before. Now all she had to do was clean the towels and fluff up all the pillows.. Not that it was particularly necessary, but she liked to put more time and effort into her job on non-busy days such as this one. She'd have to ask for a refill on the bandages, though.

Backstory

Evelynn Owyang was born into a moderately well-off family in 1988, Beijing China. Her mother was a school nurse, and from an early age would take Evelynn along to work so she could learn the tidbits and art of the work. An enthusiastic child to learn, she was. Taking notes whilst sitting in the corner of the nurse's office, asking many questions from her less enthusiastic working mother. However, Lynn's mother was beyond delighted that her daughter wished to follow in her footsteps. Teaching her daughter basics after school, getting her to shadow the nurse at little Evelynn's own school on certain days, and eventually helping her fund her education to become a nurse. Her father had been less enthusiastic, having hoped his daughter would take over the family business of their bakery. He continued to pester Evelynn through her early years in college, trying to convince the young girl that she could still switch majors without issue, perhaps drop out. But Evelynn didn't budge. She'd always taken after her mother.
With her dear mother's assistance, Evelynn made it through hard times of schooling. But she was adamant, determined. This was the only path that'd interested her in life. However, in her second year of college, an unforseen tragedy struck. Her mother got diagnosed with lung cancer due to unhealthy habit, and the time that had been promised to her was running short, and fast. She wouldn't see little Lynn graduate, she wouldn't be there for her daughter's wedding. Evelynn was devastated.
Not even a year got to pass, until her mother was lost. However, instead of this deterring Evelynn from her education and spending time mourning with family, the woman threw herself into her studies. Dead set on achieving her childhood dream to make her mother proud, and even more importantly, herself. She finally graduated in 2013.

Motivation for Joining KHS: A lifelong dream, one she shared with her mother. This has been a deep rooted passion since her early days. She enjoyed the trade, the socialization, and above all else, helping people had come to be her #1 reason to pursing this career path. Not only that, but give students a safe and helpful nurse to come to, a safe person to help them in all ways she can.

Do you have any previous experience working in a school environment? If so, please elaborate (If not, respond with "N/A"):

I am a hardworking, passionate and above all else, cooperative worker! I enjoy helping, I take criticism and apply it to my future endeavors, and I'm a safe person to work alongside. I believe I bring something valuable to the table, and I am honored for the opportunity to apply in the first place.
