Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?
I believe the Teacher role is one of the most important roles in SchoolRp. As a teacher, you engage with a large majority of the community. As a teacher, your goal is not only to provide a safe and fun environment for the other players /students but to also guide new players in the community. Being a teacher means being a role model for others, being a stepping stone in the future of all of your students, and supporting them in their endeavors.

Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes
What is your motivation for becoming a Teacher? One of my biggest motivations for applying to be a teacher is that I enjoy creating meaningful and memorable stories with and for other players. Teachers are among the most important characters in SRP because they can bring people together and encourage interaction between players they don't even know, which can introduce new friends to players who don't have as many friends or are new to SRP, both in and out of character. Even after my class ends, the friendships can continue outside of class. I also love to detail RP when I'm able to, and being a teacher would let me dabble in detail RP more than usual, by being able to plan and detail fun lessons and activities for the class, and see what the other players can come up with /detailrp themselves. Another one of my major motivations to become a teacher is to have an adult account that ties into my friend's backstory and gives them a real father figure instead of a fictional one they can only talk about, since we have no friends who can play the role of an adult, being a teacher will let me not only engage in fun rp senarios with new and old players alike but it would allow me to have fun in depth roleplay with my friends as well
In-Character Section
What's your character's full name? Kenji would enter the room and shake the interviewer's hand before taking a seat. Hi, my name is Noah Kenji Sychomka, but most people call me Kenji. He would set his left leg on top of his right while sitting and fold his hands
What is your character's age? Kenji started to sketch the person interviewing him. “Oh, did you ask me something?” The question would replay in his head before the interview could repeat itself. “Sorry about that, I'm currently 39. Promise it won't happen again.” Would continue to sketch the interviewer
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Art
Describe your character: Kenji would stand before the interviewer at 5’’11 with short wavy hair that curls at the tips, which would end at the top of his neck. On the right side of his face would be a large burn scar. Sets his pencil down from sketching and touches the burn on his face. “It's a long story.” As he touched the burn scar, he would recoil back in his chair just slightly, as he still felt pain, as if the fire had just happened. “My apologies, didn't mean to make this awkward,” as he put his arm down, you could notice a white and gray owl tattoo on the inside of his right arm. His dark brown eyes would be looking around the room, not because he was nervous, but because he was looking for some kind of inspiration in this room to draw later. Kenji would always be drawing and taking notes for inspiration when he was able to. Kenji would be calm, patient, protective, and most of all, a friendly person. As he was drawing the interviewer, he would look up and make direct eye contact, “You don't mind me sketching you, right? I apologies i never really asked for your permission…” Kenji's friendly persona makes him easy to approach; however, if you walked straight up to him while he was drawing, you would most likely be ignored, not because he wanted to be, but because he was so locked in on getting the proportions right when sketching. In the past, he used to be a tattoo artist who specialized in cartoon/anime tattoos, as he loved the culture of Japan. You would occasionally find Kenji running around and sketching students when not hosting class to brighten up the students' days while also taking inspiration from them to make oc characters. When he was 21, he had 3 unexpected children, Aspen K. Sychomka, Anastasiya L. Sychomka, and Andreia L. Sychomka. Having children at such a young age changed Kenji's perspective entirely. In the past, he used to hate kids; they were so loud and obnoxious, but as he grew up raising these three, he started to understand the beauty of life more and had a fourth child named Alexei Sychomka. Raising them taught him patience, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the curiosity and joy a child can bring, shaping him into the caring and dependable person he is today. Would look up after finishing the sketch “The main reason I want to become a teacher is to be a good role model for other children and especially mine. I want to be a father figure they can look up to and guide not only my kids but other kids on the right path.” smiles at the interviewer before continuing the interview “One day i wish to open my art studio and create my own animated tv content for kids, hopefully i can convince some of my students if i get hired to join me in my endeavor” puts one hand behind his head and messing with his own hair while he chuckles lightly.
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content. What would your character do?:
Kenji would most likely notice the student quickly, as he was always looking around the classroom and paying close attention to his students. First, he would wait a few minutes to see if a classmate would help them. Once he realized they weren't getting help when there was a break in the lecture or activity, he would walk out to the student before getting down on one knee and would start to whisper to the student, “Hey, bud, I noticed you haven't started to smile. Don't worry if it will help you. Every student deserves the same chance to do well, lightly patting the student's back as he pulls a chair next to the student. In a low whisper, to not attract any more attention, he would go over and explain the instructions as needed. Anything the student needs clarification on, don't worry if your work isn't the same as someone else's, or you work too slowly, art takes time to flourish.” If the student felt unsure about his work, I would encourage him to do the best he could, as art is simply a way of expressing his thoughts and feelings. Kenji would always try to maintain a creative and supportive space, ensuring everyone felt comfortable in his class without fear, embarrassment, or judgement.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Kenji would set his sketch pad down before looking at the disruptive student and walking over to them, “Hey bud, I know this class is about expressing yourself and your feelings, but can you take it down a notch?” looks around the room at all the students who were affected by the disruptive behavior. “Now listen, I know you just wanna have fun, and that's what this class is about, but if you continue to distract other students and try talking over to me,” he pauses and lets out an audible sigh "I don't want to, but I would have to give you a detention slip for misbehaving in class, and nobody wants that, right? So settle down, please. This is your only warning. Would you enjoy it if you were really interested in a subject or idea and someone kept being noisy behind you? I don't think so,” pats the student on the back, and walks around the class checking on the other students. If the student ignored Kenji, he would get 1 more warning before being served detention. After serving the student detention, he would walk around and see if any students were behind due to the disturbance and help them catch up on the assignment.

Interactive class idea #1:natural dyeing
During this activity, Kenji would lead his students to the culinary room, where he would demonstrate how to make natural dye from food by blanching spinach and then grinding it into a green paste. He would then get a separate container and grind blueberries to make a purple dye and then set it on his desk as an example. In front of the students on each of the main tables would be a box of common household food items that can be turned into dye. For the first half of the class, he would let the class start to make their natural pigment and dye. For the second half of the class, they get to paint on a canvas with the dye they made, and then present their work and describe what items they used for their dye and what they painted. The most creative use of the food items to make pigment, and what they created, would receive a reward sticker
Interactive class idea #2: Blind drawing
In the class activity, in front of every student would be a piece of blank white paper and a pencil without an eraser. In this activity, the student will be asked to sketch the student in front of/to the side of them without looking down at their paper. The student's goal is to somewhat accurately draw the person in front of them without looking down at their paper. This activity demonstrates to the students the idea that hand-eye coordination is very different from when you look back and forth at your work, to when you look at the subject without thinking about all the little mistakes or lines crossing each other when they don't mean to. This activity is purely for fun and entertainment, and not to test the students' capability to actually draw blind
Interactive class idea #3: the idea of fundamentals
In this class, Kenji would go in-depth into the fundamental building blocks of art: line, shape, form, space, value, color, and texture. But before he did so, he would ask the class what their theory was on the fundamentals of making visual art. Once a student raises their hand and says one of the fundamental building blocks, Kenji starts to explain why that building block is key to making visual art. One example is when a student raises their hand and says color is a key part of art. Kenji would confirm that they are correct before talking about color theory and what color expresses certain feelings and emotions, before going on to another one of the fundamentals of art
