Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
My Discord is SirDerpHead#7213

How old are you? (Optional):
I am 19 years old.

What is your time zone?:
My time zone is ACDT (GMT:+10:30), South Australia

Describe your activity on the server:
I am very active on the server, spending quite a lot of hours online, usually ranging from 6 to 8 hours a day. A majority of my time spent on the server is roleplaying with friends and enjoying my time with the different events. I’ve devoted a lot of time on SRP, with creating lore for my characters and will carry this on with this character and the family he has created.

Have you ever been banned (If yes, when and why?):
No, I have never been banned and I intend to keep it that way.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I am fully aware that if I am inactive I will be demoted and removed from the faction.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
The school employee role I am applying for is School Librarian

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:

School Librarian

A librarian is responsible for managing and organising library resources such as books, magazines, journals, databases, and digital resources. Their primary role is to help users find information and resources, answer reference questions, and provide guidance on how to use library services and resources effectively.

Some of the key responsibilities of a librarian IN GENERAL include:

Acquiring, cataloguing, and classifying materials: This involves selecting and purchasing materials that are relevant to the needs of library users, cataloguing them, and making them accessible to users.

Managing library resources: Librarians are responsible for managing library resources, including physical materials, such as books, and digital resources such as e-books, online journals, and databases.

Providing reference services: Librarians help users to locate information and resources. They answer reference questions and provide assistance with research and information-seeking.

Developing programs and services: Librarians develop programs and services that meet the needs of the library's users. They may organise book clubs, workshops, and other events to promote reading and learning.

Providing user education: Librarians educate users on how to use library resources effectively. They may provide training sessions on how to search databases, access online journals, and use citation management tools.

The key responsibility of librarians within a school is to support the educational goals of the school and promote literacy and a love of learning among students.

Overall, school librarians play an important role in promoting student achievement and supporting the educational goals of the school. They provide access to information and resources that support learning and help students develop the skills they need to be successful in school and beyond.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
Role-playing is a common activity that can be enjoyed at various stages of life. Within my life I have experienced a lot of role play, starting from childhood, all the way to adult life. As a child I would roleplay with my friends, pretending we were police men, with our nerf guns, and someone would be dressed up in all black, being the criminal. We would roleplay as policemen to try and arrest the criminal in my garden. In addition, I used to roleplay as a teacher with my friends, making up fun little quizzes, and assessing them. I used to be addicted to making the ‘register’, making up different names and acting as other people to answer myself… sounds cringe now. But my childhood was filled with different types of role play. Continuing to adulthood, not only does SRP, and my many alt characters prove my dedication towards roleplaying and carrying out someone's personality but with my work and real life studies, I use roleplay to advance with my studies, acting in different scenarios if I was placed in them. My studying involves dealing with all different scenarios and I believe this can be incorporated into SRP, as I'm quite good at adapting and imposing myself with different types of people, in real life and in character. I have now had over 2 months of experience in the Tutor position and am now daily adjusted to working in a faculty position, but I would find myself more comfortable in the Librarian faction.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I am already apart of the School Employee faction, and enjoy the time that i have had so far in the Tutor faction, but i don't believe it is the most suited position for me taking into account my experience so far, as the tutoring part of the job has proven quite difficult for me in roleplay situations.

The Librarian faction was one I originally desired to join as seen in my previous applications, but decided to give the Tutor position a shot as there were no longer Librarian positions available when I went to re-apply. The position would much more suit my character as he is quite calm, relaxed and a little geeky when it comes to literature. I believe I would be able to play a much better character in this position. Librarians play an important role in guiding children with their education, and inspiring them to learn with Literature and supporting them in their journey to be literate.

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Yutaro would stay calm, he would raise an eyebrow at the students comment, almost if he had found it amusing. He would approach the student and softly say, “Let’s drop the attitude, it is not needed. Refrain from insulting staff, this is your first warning.” He wouldn't let the comment affect his job, he would remain professional and soft-spoken. If the student continued to carry on the insults, another formal warning would have been given. If the students want to push their luck again and comment upon it, Yutaro would swiftly pull out a detention slip, passing it to the student with a final comment of “I tried to stop this from happening, I will see you in detention.”

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Yutaro would act quickly, wedging himself between the fighting students, he would raise his voice, “Stop, Now.”, audibly warning them to quit their behaviour. If they continued to either verbally or physically assault each other once more, he would issue another verbal warning. Aside from that, he would try to assess the situation, taking in both sides of the story before coming down with a solution to prevent any further fights between the students. Both students would be permitted a detention slip, as any kind of physical abuse is not allowed on school grounds, no matter the reason for fighting, even when only one had started it. He would then inform other faculty about the fight and for caretakers/chefs/any free faculty to keep an ear out for any more fighting. If caught again fighting Yutaro would report to SLT, as they have both had detentions and warned multiple times of their violent behaviour.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Yutaro would first try talking with the other school employee to try and understand why they are behaving this way. “What's been going on?”, “What has made you act this way?” He would ask, trying to understand if there was any deep reasoning for the employees sudden outburst of behaviour. Yutaro would remind the member of the rules of the school, letting them know that this kind of behaviour is not permitted, and the employee could lose their job if they carry this behaviour on. If the member refuses to change their actions, Yutaro would discuss this with the head of department, informing them on what they have been doing and how this could affect the school's reputation if carried on. He would ask for advice, and whether to take this to SLT. As this behaviour can not be carried on.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Yutaro would approach the break room, taking off his bag, and placing it aside as he walked up the coffee machine, waiting for a coffee to be made. He would turn around greeting other faculty members. “Hello! Good morning!”. He would keep a calm, soft smile on his face as he heard his colleagues talk in the background. He would take his finished coffee and sit down with others. He would take out a book, looking through it to refresh himself on some of the material. He would swiftly shut his book, seeing what his colleagues have been discussing, trying to involve himself in the conversation if possible.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me &b&o would place himself down at his chair within the library office. Cracking his knuckles as he prepared for the hoard of students to come and greet him. He heard a door swing as he saw a young female student approach him, he would give her a soft tone smile as he asked. &f&o“Hello, how may i help you today?” His voice was calm, but with a hint of interest as he cared for students' needs. Waiting for a response, with all ears open, he would grab over and take a sip from his coffee. He would place it back down. Listening to the student speak and nodding his head, showing his understanding of her wants.

/me &b&o heard the word ‘thriller’ and jumped up in excitement! &f&o ”I love a good thriller book, it really brings you into the story, some foreshadowing, some surprises. You never know what to expect. I’ll find one for you. &b&oHe would remove himself from his desk, going into the storage of the library, to scan the thriller section of books. He traced his finger amongst the lines of books stocked up, and stopped himself at one. Picking it up and reading the blurb to make sure it's the wanted one. He walked back to the desk, placing it on the counter before sitting back down. &f&o”I think you'll enjoy this one.” &b&o He said with a warm smile.

/me &b&o smiled at the student, as the student handed a book over to him. He looked at the front page saying ‘The Rule’, scanning his eyes over the small summary at the bottom being about a romance. &f&o “You wrote this?” &b&o He asked the excited student as he began to open the book, skimming the first page to get an ideal summary of the students' writing. With the approval of the students nod, he placed down the book with a clap of the hands. &f&o“From just the first page, it looks amazing, you should really start writing more! When I have some free time I will read it properly and give you some of my thoughts. Thankyou for trusting me with this” &b&o He said with a genuine smile.

Backstory

[0-17]
Yutaro Munakata was born on January 12th, 1994 in Barcelona, Spain. Being the first born child of his Spanish mother and Japanese father, he grew up raising his younger siblings, as their parents were always busy working. He didn't have an easy life, he was left to fend for himself and his siblings. He became responsible very quickly, he didn’t have much time to socialise with others as he wanted to protect and care for his siblings. He made sure he focused on his studies however, even though his parents showed no interest. He studied hard in all of his exams, even when co-parenting his younger siblings, he never missed a bit of homework or an exam. He multitasked most of his life, making sure he would be able to have a bright future ahead of him.

[18-23]
When Yutaro turned 18, his parents both passed suddenly in an unfortunate car crash, leaving him to raise his younger siblings who he gained legal custody of while also studying in college and working part time at a grocery store, making sure his siblings were okay whilst profiting the household, leaving them to have the basic necessities they needed. Graduating his college degrees at age of 20, he began the job search, jumping between multiple tourism related companies, working cash jobs at restaurants and such in between, to ensure he always had enough money to support his family. Being thrown into adulthood head on, he had to adapt quickly to constant change, often moving between apartments and units to be closer to wherever he was working at the time. He made a few friends on the way, who always offered help, which he was always thankful for, but never needed as he wanted to be independent. Like he always has been.

[24-29]
After years of repeating the same process of applying for new jobs and moving around the country, he had saved enough money to move him and his siblings out of the country and to somewhere with a better lifestyle. He found a room for rent in a place called Karakura and started searching for jobs in the area when he came across KHS, which he instantly thought would make the perfect workplace for him, as it would allow him to fully provide for his family all while also being around to support them if needed. He explored Karakura, loving the area, and immediately started applying for jobs. He knew this is the kind of town he wanted his not-so-young siblings to grow up in, forgetting their tragic past. Wanting to be a part of Karakura’s High School faculty, he applied, awaiting for his application to be looked at in excitement and anxiety. Once he was accepted into the Tutor faction, he worked hard to be the best at his job as he possibly could, even obtaining the Employee Of The Month title in his second month in the position. After concluding that this wasn't the position he was most comfortable with, he decided to take his shot at shifting faction to librarian, hoping that his high work effort and good working reputation would allow him to access the change he needed.

Motivation for Switching Department:
Yutaro believes that switching up the department he works in from the Tutor faction into the Librarian faction will allow him to flourish, with his strongpoints being in literature, and being able to inspire learning in a much more effective way, as the students coming to the library are there purely for literary subjects. This secure position will allow him to sufficiently upkeep his family's well being, while also reducing the stress of constantly moving around. He sees KHS as a desirable workspace that will allow his previous work skills to come in use to benefit others positively while also fulfilling his own desire to live a more comfortable life than how he grew up. Earning a living while spreading his love for literature would be nothing but a dream for him.

Do you have any previous experience working in a school environment? If so, please elaborate:

Yutaro has been working at KHS for a few months now, and in that time has gained a plentiful amount of experience working in a school environment. His job as a Tutor has allowed him to experience multiple features of working in a school environment including educating students, dealing with altercations appropriately, and upholding his good working reputation and authority. Yutaro is a dedicated and hard worker, who was even able to achieve the Employee Of The Month title within his second month in his position. Very pleased with himself, he figured it would be a good time to request a department switch to a faction he was more comfortable in.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:

“I believe that I should be accepted over the other candidates for the position, as I have a lot of experience and life knowledge to bring to the table, and I would be a valuable asset to the team that is the Librarian staff. I always have other interests in mind, and would apply my strongest efforts into making sure my work quality is nothing but exceptional. I want to make students succeed in life, and feel comfortable with their learning being able to access all the wonderful resources that the library can provide. I understand how difficult school life can be, and I want to make sure the students don't get overwhelmed with stress.”
