Describe your activity on the server:
In comparison to the average SRP player, I am very active. Typically spending 3-8 hours (a very rough estimate) on the server each day. I log on both weekdays and weekends with a good balance between activity on the server and responsibilities in my everyday life. I attend College and a job, however I do both from home which allows me to be more active. I have actively been playing SRP since 2020, but I believe this year has been the most I’ve been involved within the community.

What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation for applying comes down to two reasons. One of those reasons being my previous KPD application was denied and I strongly believe I can make a better application with newfound motivation and experience. I want to improve on the areas of my last application that I struggled in or could have been much better. Since my prior KPD application, I have been participating in roleplay scenarios that challenge me, such as BandRP as of recently. This has improved my DetailRP significantly and I believe KPD is a great place to prove to myself how much I have improved. Leading to my second reason being a change of pace. Since I’ve been actively playing SRP for 5 years, I’ve only got a taste of sports factions and events. Now that I must make a new character into a current family, it will further improve my roleplay abilities by allowing new interactions with new people.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
TRAINING | PATROL | CCTV/CAMERAS |
Training occurs when a new person gets accepted into the KPD. When they are accepted, they have the title of 'Cadet'. The training will bring all Cadets into an official Officer. | Patrolling is an important part of an officer's responsibilities. While on patrol, they monitor the streets of Karakura, looking for potential criminal activity. | CCTV Cameras are placed all around the town and school which can be used as evidence for criminal activity. However, the school cameras do not catch footage usable by the KPD. |
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police are essential to the safety of everyone in Karakura. As the main fighting force against the mass amounts of gangs, they handle any illegal acts caused by gangs or black market affiliates. They play a vital role ensuring citizens are safe and the law is enforced. KPD is an important faction to SchoolRP due to the fact most of the other factions are affiliated with the KPD. Without the KPD, GangRP would become boring without anyone to rival the mass influx of gangs. Other factions such as EMS are known to communicate with KPD often and work hand in hand with each other.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I fully understand that I am required to attend trainings when I am online and failure to do so will result in punishment.

What's your character's backstory?
The Beginning
As Laurence proceeded with his schooling and his early childhood, he had a dark recurring problem in the family that he had not discovered yet. Their father was mentally and sometimes physically abusive towards the children. Although Laurence hadn’t become victim to this yet, he noticed it with his older siblings in the form of bruises and scars. He would ask what happened to them, but they would tell him not to worry about it, or that they had simply fallen. They did this to protect him and his purity at such a young age.
Discovery
Laurence flew through his elementary school and middle school years with minimal difficulty regarding grades and understanding of material. He enjoyed school and all of the connections he made along the way. When Laurence turned 14 and it was time to start High School, he had nothing but excitement and hope. This was, until he made a sickening discovery. He truly found out what had happened to Francesca and Lorenzo when he was young. Together, the three of them sat down with Laurence and had a talk with him about the sad truth about their family. The two explained that all of the bruises that formed on both their bodies, the scars that remained, and the tears that were shed were caused by their father. Immediately, he was now scared and worried for his own safety. Was he going to suffer the same fate his older siblings did? As time went on, their father only became worse. Now that Laurence was older and knew how his father truly was, he attempted to keep his distance but this only angered him. With this newfound rage, he centered his anger onto Laurence, attacking him verbally. He would scream at him, telling him that he’s too dependent on his siblings and that he will be nothing once they are gone. Entangled in despair and sadness, Laurence started his first two high school years horribly. The emotions became so unbearable, that he began thinking he really was too dependent on his siblings and he was nothing without them. His happiness and joyous self started to fade into a thing of the past, slowly withering away. Just as he thought he lost his old cheerful self, a breakthrough happened. A breakthrough that was practically a blessing for Laurence and his family. Their father left when their mother finally put her foot down and declared that enough was enough.
Left Behind
Now with his father gone, Laurence worked on getting his life back on track to what it was before. He improved his grades by becoming more involved in classes, his mother even got him a tutor to speed up the process. Now with a supportive mother and improving grades, his cheerful personality slowly but surely crept back to Laurence. Reaching a new high in his life, he felt like everything was finally turning around for the better. Laurence was able to finish his final two years of high school with significant improvement to both his grades and his mindset. Everything was going as well as it could have possibly been going until Francesca and Lorenzo graduated college and moved to Karakura. Conflicted, he was happy for them for such a big achievement. But on the other side, he never felt as lonely as he did. This was the first time he felt truly alone, the two support systems he had other than his mother moving to a completely different country. There was only one thing he could do, and that was to adapt.
A New Future
With his two older siblings now gone to their respective career paths, Laurence was left to find his. He had one motivator in his mind, to prove his father wrong. Prove that he didn’t need anyone holding his hand to succeed in life. He had a long talk with his mother and decided college was the best way to practice and learn independence. He was ready to enroll into college with new motivation and a new goal in mind. He wanted to follow in his older brothers footsteps and become a police officer. He went to college in his home country and studied Criminal Justice. He spent 4 years of college deeply studying Criminal Justice so he could carve his own path to success. He moved out of his home as the final child to leave home to live in his dorm, another way he practiced independence. His determination and focus netted him great grades in college and loads of knowledge on Criminal Justice.
A Risk Worth Taking
At the young age of 25, Laurence graduated college with flying colors, a new mindset, a new motivation, and finally he felt in touch with that cheerful self he once was when he was a teenager. He was now free to do what he pleased with his degree, but he only wanted one thing. To move to Karakura and join the Karakura Police Department and follow in his brother's footsteps. To show them how far he has come, to prove his father wrong, and most importantly, to serve and protect Karakura. To protect and serve the city that welcomed his older siblings with open arms.

General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“If I witness an act like this infront of me, action needs to be taken immediately. I would radio both other officers and any higher-ups about this situation at hand. If found safe enough, I would step in and separate the officer and the inmate. Once the officer has been detained by a higher-up, I would ensure the inmate doesn’t need medical attention and radio for EMS if needed. The officer will be taken into questioning and likely receive an assault charge and his position as an officer would be in jeopardy.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“If I see my co-worker being assaulted, I would radio for backup as quickly as possible with the current location. A verbal warning would be given before taking physical action to separate if verbal warnings weren’t enough. Once the situation has been put under control, I would examine the assaulted co-worker for any injuries that may require medical attention. Afterwards, the individual who assaulted the officer would be arrested for assaulting a Government official which would be 6 months behind bars.”
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“A corrupt co-worker, firstly I would keep it quiet between my co-workers, to not stir up too much conspiracy or unwanted drama. I would gain any information or evidence of these corrupt actions and report them to a higher-up immediately. Very uncommon occurrence, but it can effect the safety of citizens residing in Karakura, our job is to serve and protect the community."
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“Interesting concept.. I would start with a verbal warning, informing the individual that attempting bribery on an officer is a fineable offense. If the bribery continues for some reason, I would give the individual a fine and tell them that behavior is absolutely unacceptable.”
