What's your Minecraft Username?: robinzee
What's the title of your suggestion?: Elaborating on Danger Zone rules in "Terminology & Server Rules"
What's your suggestion?:
As it stands right now, the Power Plant Danger Zone (or Danger-Zone, or Dangerzone) has no codified rules in the Terminology & Server Rules thread. To my knowledge, it has been this way since it was introduced as a DZ in September of '21, with then-Crime Lead Minobu simply stating:
"The Power-Plant is now considered a Danger-Zone. More information will be released in an announcement in a few upcoming days, alongside a forum thread on how this area will operate for other players to partake in criminal activity here."
While there may have been a forum thread at some point, I could not find it myself, so I have to conclude that it is either lost to time or that there was never one written at all.
The most readily-available information about how permissions change and what kind of roleplay is supposed to take place there is from the hologram at the entrance:
...which is very vague and does not offer any insights into the actual changes which occur there.
This state has lead to a lot of cases of he-said-she-said and most people need to refer to the #help channel for elaboration on how it works. My own opinion is also that I think by having such unclear rules (or rather the rules themselves being kept away from the players) people go for the most obvious things (also known as "things that work well enough"), such as the infamous "Run me 5k" or "Run me that bali" lines.
Long story short, I am suggesting that the Danger Zone rules be elaborated upon in Section 7 - Criminal Roleplay of "Terminology and Server Rules", as this is where we also find the rules for Safe Zones.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would help with quelling more hearsay about how powerplant works, and would potentially open the power plant to more interesting roleplaying scenarios.
