Personality:
Myrtle is an even person, someone who tries to stay at constant peace. She is realistic, not overly negative nor positive. She is not a complete middle ground of course, although she is fairly close. Furthermore, she rarely overthinks. She is logical and will only “overthink” if she is mentally debating herself on a certain topic. She will never debate aloud though, due to her wanting to remain unbiased in the public eye. She is not only realistic, but down to earth too. She strives for deep emotional connections with others, working hard to understand those around her. She also thinks highly of no one, including herself. She admires no one, has no role models, and wishes to live to be herself and one with others.
She is extroverted as well, enjoying crowds and people. She likes the attention from other people, admittedly, although she also enjoys giving attention to others. She has never once felt lonely though, she just gets a rush from the attention and praise when she does receive attention. Finally, she is focused and passionate. She rarely gives up on things, her drive keeping her going past any mental limits she may have in her way. She, therefore, rarely gets bored. It is easy for her to do the same task over and over again, for multiple hours or days. But while she can do things like repetitive math or reading, she prefers not to. Myrtle also has many things she feels strongly about, even if she does not speak publicly on them. It is likely she could write, or think, for hours on those subjects.
Overall, she is fairly well rounded: intelligent, a people person, calm. Good qualities that, of course, could have their downsides.

Hobbies:
Myrtle enjoys simple things, often related to nature or literature. Gardening is one of her favorite hobbies due to her love for plants. While she has no garden or plants of her own currently, due to her small shared living space, at her childhood home her grandmother’s garden is still thriving due to Myrtle and her mother taking care of it. Gardening means an awful lot to her family, it only made sense that she ended up picking it up. She even works at a plant shop now!
She also loves exploring and hiking, although running through a city is included in this hobby she prefers more natural areas. The woods are exciting to her, with all different types of plants and creatures. It gives her a thrill, she has fun climbing trees, exploring caves, hiking mountains. Overall she really just likes seeing new sights, or old ones that hold memories. She feels that seeing the world around you, even urban areas, is important. So, she mainly walks everywhere.
She has a love for literature too, more specifically poetry and mythology. While she greatly dislikes reading, she does enjoy reading poems and myths. She prefers writing poems to anything though. While she has never aspired to be a poet or write books of poetry, she loves it - she just prefers keeping her writing to herself. She is not nervous to share it, she just feels like it shows her opinions too vividly and would ruin her unbiased public appearance.

Flaws:
Myrtle is a respectable person who shows little bias or judgment towards things, which often tends to worsen her flaws. Due to her nature she will rarely want to commit to an opinion in public, most of her opinions being kept to herself. This tends to make her look shifty and indecisive, even though she is neither. Even on opinions she does speak publicly about, such as her positive views on LGBTQ+, she will not argue or debate others to try and persuade them or spread knowledge on her opinion. This typically causes her to look disloyal or dishonest, seeing as she refuses to truly stand up for anyone or anything. In some ways it is true that she is disloyal, which she does not mind as she does not find anything particularly wrong with disloyalty in this sense. She believes it is not her purpose to stand for an opinion or person and that in reality she should only stand for herself, even then ‘herself’ should be one with those around her.
She also tends to be rather cold, although not typically on purpose. Due to her calm nature she comes off as a tad bit boring, a tad bit bored, and somewhat icy at times. Replying in one or two words, walking away from situations when subtly displeased, having few opinions.

Phobias:
N/A

Skills:
Myrtle is not only average in looks but she is also average at most activities. She is not bad at much, she just is not better than most at much either. This could likely be due to her passionate nature, with her typically choosing something and sticking to it, therefore not paying attention to much else.
She is best at gardening. From an early age she has been taught to tend to plants. She has an incredible green thumb, just like her mom and grandmother. While she has no plants of her own currently she plans to when she is older. May it be up at the shrine, with plants that she tends to all around her, or in a cute little house - likely out in the backyard, or on the porch. She wants a garden like her grandmothers, or to eventually live in her parents house and carry on that same garden.
She is also a poet of sorts, although she has already declared she would never be one professionally. Poetry was something she was passionate about since she was a child, having picked up her love from it from her best friend. Her writing style has become very poetic over the years, likely due to her taking the time to study language and poetry in hopes of improving her own.

Quirks:
Myrtle has no odd quirks, her characteristics often alining with most people. She is easily sunburnt due to her pale skin, and therefore wears lots of sunscreen. She loves candles, specifically the look of them, and can not study without one burning. She only studies at home due to this, as not many quiet places typically burn candles. She prefers sitting on the floor, no matter what the floor is made of. She likes having her hands clasped together at her waist or on her lap if she is sitting. She sleeps with tons of blankets in the summer, some of them being light but most of them being weighted or fuzzy. She says ‘hm?’ a lot.

Significant Other:
N/A

Best Friend(s):
N/A

Feelings on Others:
Myrtle likes people, she is an extrovert after all. She does not mind crowds, small talk, deep conversations, or meeting new people. She genuinely trusts all people she meets until she has reason not to, she believes in the kindness of others and has little worries about getting beat up or scammed. She knows people can be bad, she knows they can be cruel, and will not interact with those who have been proven to be those things. Although, she will not openly oppose or disparage those people.

Feeling on Others (IN DEPTH):
N/A

Appearance:
Myrtle is, in almost all senses, average. She has no particularly eye-catching features that someone would notice from afar, nothing that would make someone turn and stare. She is pretty, sure, with a nice face and a fit body. Not a supermodel, but a put together, cute, we-dressed lady. She is 5’6, of fairly average weight and build - no bulging muscles, a bit of a stomach, fairly slim legs and arms. She looks to have more of a pear shape to her, although subtle and easily mistaken for a more rectangular shape at times. Her skin is pale although not ghastly, with a yellow undertone and warm red blushed cheeks. She has warm, bright chestnut colored eyes. Although pretty, what makes them so gorgeous is the gold and green specs in them. Her blond hair is almost constantly pulled up into a bun, with bangs framing her face gently, her hair looks smooth and clean.

Equipment:
Myrtle has things any student would: pens, pencils, an umbrella, a few books, some snacks, a bag, a few stuffed animals, and a phone. Nothing too important to her with the exception of her box of letters.

Character Voice:
Myrtle has a cute voice, with it being fairly high pitched and floaty. It has a calm and even tone to it most times, as if she is content with everything and everyone. Her words are clearly pronounced typically, with her always speaking in a slow manner. Not too slow, more at a pace that can be easily understood by everyone.

[SCHOOL RELATED]

-

Grade:
Grade 12

Current Marks:
Mostly A-’s, again she is a fairly good student with little interest.

How Do They Do In Class:
Myrtle is a good student: turning in all her work, paying attention, never being disruptive. Her only issue would be her lack of participation. She wants to blend in to the crowd, the class, and raising her hand to answer or ask a question is just not something she likes to do. She isn’t embarrassed or worried, she just has little interest.

Feelings on Clubs:
Myrtle is not currently involved in any clubs. A few she finds interesting are the gardening club, fashion club, and art club.

Feelings on Sports:
Myrtle is not involved in any sports, but she is a Bobcat fan (if you ignore the Spartan plushie her brother gave her). There are a few sports shes particularly interested in, those being football, volleyball, and cheer.

Feelings on School:
Myrtle, in a general sense, likes school. It is enjoyable, clean, and offers many activities to keep her busy. Although she is not currently very involved, or focused, on school she plans to be. While she understands school is not all bookwork, a lot of it is - which she dislikes. Reading is rarely fun to her, with the exception of some history, mythology, and poetry books.

[WORLD RELATED]

-

Crime/Gang Affiliation:
Myrtle is not affiliated with any gangs and furthermore would never want to be.

Feelings on KPD:
Myrtle has almost no feelings on the KPD, she thinks the same of them as she does the government.

Feelings on Gangs:
Myrtle has little issue with gangs - at their cores they are just groups of like minded people formed to challenge or gain something. The criminal intent behind them leaves her wary though. While she understands individuals in gangs may be there for good reason (to provide for family, to act as a vigilante) the ways they go about reaching their goals always end in someone getting hurt. Is whatever they are trying to gain really worth that? She believes going through channels like the government, KPD, or politics, legally, is much better for society as a whole than forming groups that use criminal ways to get things.

Feelings on Crime:
Crime will always end in someone taking the hit - a business, innocent civilian, a cop, a family member of the criminal. While not all crime is the fault of the criminal (a poor person stealing), every criminal should still go through a reform process. Myrtle does not specifically believe in punishing criminals, rather that they should take accountability and learn to do better. Hurting others, even yourself, is never the way to go. Though, she does have empathy for people who commit all sorts of crimes. While she does believe all crimes harm someone in the end, that does not mean all criminals aim to harm.

Feelings on EMS:
Myrtle applauds them for their hard work, they are essential to society as a whole and are very important. She has no specifically strong views on them or what they should be doing though.

Feelings on Politics:
Myrtle has intense political views, although typically refuses to publicly speak on them. This is not due to her being afraid of criticism, or even her being worried about hurting feelings. She wants to remain largely unbiased in the public eye on subjects with many different, serious viewpoints. This stands with most of her feelings on subjects, although there are some topics she is more willing to talk about. Overall, Myrtle is left leaning. She wants to protect the environment, reform criminals rather than punish them, and believes the government should be involved in the economy to name a few of her viewpoints.

Feelings on Government:
Myrtle has few feelings or views on the government. She does not particularly believe it is corrupt nor entirely correct.

Feelings on LGBTQ+:
Myrtle is pansexual, but has done lots of research on other genders, sexual orientations, and romantic identities. She believes and supports the community, although has no strong or specific views. This is one of the subjects she is more willing to talk on - although she will not debate or argue for either side.

Feelings on Religion:
Myrtle practices Shintoism along with her entire family. She started learning about it and being a part of it from a young age, the religion holds lots of good memories for her as well. It is important to her, but she has no strong views on it. She rarely speaks on it outside her family home though.

Religious Beliefs:
Myrtle practices Shintoism.

[FULL BACKSTORY]

-

Myrtle was born on October 14th, 2004, her brother being six years older and her parents being a lovely Finnish couple that immigrated to Japan years before the birth of their first child. The entire family believes in Shintoism so Myrtle grew up around it, it has always been an important part of her life. Visiting the shrine on weekends with her family, participating in prayer, learning more about the religion. Overall, she had a good childhood.
Myrtle’s first friend, other than her older brother Marco, was Iseri Yuji. Yuji was Marco’s best friend, therefore the two boys were around the same age. Yuji also acted like an older brother to Myrtle, which caused the three to become fairly close. Marco and Yuji were closer to each other than Myrtle and Yuji were, of course, but Myrtle almost always hung around them until she got more friends of her own.
Eventually she grew away from Yuji, although they remained friends. She ended up making friends with a classmate of her own, Hoga Satoshi. This kid was her best friend during a large portion of her early years, the two basically grew up together. When kindergarten came though, Satoshi ended up moving away along with his older sister.
As mentioned, due to Satoshi she also met another friend: Chie, Satoshi’s older sister. The three kids formed a cute trio, doing just about everything together. Myrtle bonded more with Chie, likely due to their mutual love of plants and Shintoism which Satoshi never really shared. After the two siblings moved away they kept in contact, although Chie and Myrtle remained closer than Satoshi and Myrtle.
Then Myrtle met her best friend, a girl named Matsuo Teruko. They were attached at the hip, so much so that their parents became friends. Teruko introduced Myrtle to poetry and mythology, which began her passions for the rest of her life. The two did everything together: classes, playtime, even spending every summer together. While Teruko had planned to go to the same high school as Myrtle, Teruko’s family moved last minute. The two kept in close contact, with Teruko promising to come back to Karakura for college.
Myrtle’s first crush was Kondo Noburo, who remained her only crush for her entire childhood. Noburo was a cute nerdy kid who liked reading and math, didn’t go out on the playground to play, and spent his evenings at school clubs for science and mathematics. Myrtle and him never really had many conversations, sometimes speaking if she needed help but otherwise they stayed in separate lanes. The two eventually reconnected in high school though, but they did stop speaking after sophomore year ended.
As a child Myrtle had good grades. Math was easy, although boring; science was a tad more exciting, although harder than math. English was always dreadful, except for when poetry was taught in class. The reason Myrtle disliked English so much was reading, for some reason she had always hated it. With the exception of poetry and mythology she could not stand picking up a book and reading for hours at a time, even thirty minutes made her want to rip her hair out. She could read easily, she just found it boring. It never interested her and when school forced her to, it simply made books even more unappealing. Writing on the other hand was easy for her, with her writing style developing poetic aspects to it at an early age. Overall, Myrtle did good in school but had little interest in it.
Her home life was much better than her school life. She has always been close with her parents and brother. Unlike most siblings, Marco and Myrtle rarely fought and did almost everything together as kids. Marco was a great older brother, taking her to the park, playing games with her, teaching her new things like how to ride a bike. It wasn’t like her parents were absent, but Myrtle was definitely tight with her big brother. Her parents were a big help to her, they pushed her to be better at everything and create new bonds but they never overstepped and were rarely harsh. They always supported her interests and hobbies, even helping create her love for gardening. Some of Myrtle’s best memories were going to the shrine with her family.
When she was around nine her baby sister was born, the pregnancy was accidental but the baby was loved nonetheless. Little Brooklyn was a sweet child, and rather clingy too: always wanting to be around Myrtle. Myrtle was a good older sister, always playing and teaching Brooklyn as Marco has done for her. Marco was around too, even though he was older and much busier than Myrtle.
Myrtle’s schoolwork did not improve as she entered high school. She still had little interest and fairly good grades in school, she still disliked reading, and now found science just as boring as math. By this point her writing style was mostly developed, with her even writing letters to people and storing those she did not send in a box. She still enjoyed poetry, even taking an interest in learning history.
As stated before, Myrtle kept in touch with a lot of her friends via text. While it was a little sad how little friends she had in person, she did not mind much.
During her sophomore year Noburo came back into the picture. He transferred to the school for a year, leaving before grade 11. During the year he spent in Karakura the two became close, even dating at some point. The two has a destructive relationship however and did not last long, this being due to Noburo’s toxic traits directly clashing with Myrtle’s calm ones. While he would start fights for attention, she would walk away and ignore him - which was toxic in its own right. The two did not end very well, to say the least.
Now, Myrtle is in her last year of high school and is fairly excited to continue onto college. She still is not quite sure of her path, but she is confident that she will find it by the end of the year.
