What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I first joined the community in August of 2021, and have played a good portion of the last two years. I have previously participated in EMS, as well as GangRP and CriminalRP, though normally I roleplay peacefully around the server. I have some good experience with each of those, but I have also roleplayed on different platforms or tabletop games for many years, and I would like to say I've significantly improved my RP skills over that time. I continue to play SRP now, as well as a few other tabletop games.
What is your motivation for applying?
My first motivation to join the faction is the roleplay, it was something I previously enjoyed and excelled at, so I would love to participate in it once more. The specificity of MedicalRP is enjoyable to me, it is something you have to pay attention to, taking care when treating your patients and making sure you properly follow protocol while also giving other players a satisfactory outcome and experience.
My second reason is because I enjoy the concept of medicine and treatment in and out of RP. In RP, I really enjoyed getting to research some of the conditions that players would come up with for their characters, and I liked going through the motions of treating them. Out of character I've done some light studying in Biology/Anatomy and Physiology, soon I'd like to participate in an EMT training program. I enjoy the concept of medicine overall and would love to participate in MedicalRP once more.
My last motivation was my prior experience in EMS. I truly loved the roleplay and the people involved, it was a good experience and I miss the faction a lot. There was a situation that had caused me to leave EMS prior, though, I also needed a break from roleplay servers in general to work on my personal life/health as well as my mindset. I did continue rping during that time, I wanted to make sure my skills stayed up to par. Now that I have improved my RP skills and have settled into a stable part of life that allows me to be online as needed, I am ready to hopefully rejoin EMS for a new chapter.

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?
I was EMS on a previous account for about 4 months, though I am not familiarized with the entirety of the new system, I have the basic knowledge of MedicalRP, Medical items, Emergency Codes, and basic procedures. I also have knowledge on the certain roles within the hospital, as well as patient rights. But, with a new system comes new procedures and knowledge, that of which I am open and capable of learning.

Early Life:
Kal F. Tanoshi is a Half-Russian, Half-Korean man born in Jeonju, Korea. When he was much younger, he began to exhibit extremely aggressive behavior, throwing toys, pitching fits, all things his mother wasn't sure how to handle. She brought him to a few specialists, originally thinking he might have an illness causing him pain that he couldn't verbalize, though he was later diagnosed with autism. Already working a busy schedule and Kal's dad not being in the picture, his mother did not have time to take care of him, so instead, she brought him to Russia and left him under the care of her brother, Sawyer. Sawyer was an officer in Moscow, his wife a stay-at-home mother that could properly look after Kal. There Kal grew up with his younger cousin Cascias, and under the careful eye of his 'adoptive' mother, he was able to grow out of these habits. After a certain amount of therapy, he was able to grasp on to some social skills and function normally in school, though he still retained some sensory issues. His mother would visit every so often, though, Sawyer and his adoptive mother were more of his parents than his birth mother ever was, and he decided to stay with them in Russia. Kal eventually began to idolize Sawyer, who was a typical rough around the edges Russian officer. He would take Kal to work, bringing him to the training room and letting him use the gym and pool, eventually letting him interact with some other officers. Though, Kal took an interest to some of the on hand EMT's, who would tell him stories and sit with him more than the officers would.
School Years:
Kal stayed very quiet throughout his high school years, keeping to himself and making only a few friends, none that he kept in touch with during college. He had a serious girlfriend, though, he split off to another university and he broke up with her before he moved. Starting his higher education, he moved back to Korea for better opportunities, isolated from his found family, he stayed in his apartment a lot of the time. In his second year of college, when he received his associates, he started an EMT certification program, which open up opportunities for him and got him connected with many different people. This was his pathway back to socialization, where he started making many acquaintances, but also a few friends such as the Wallen family brothers and a man named Jiqu. Once he was certified, he pursued a career at the same ambulance bay as Jiqu, the two of them making memories together from all the traumatic scenarios they happened upon. They built their skills together, but eventually split off as Kal wanted to pursue a higher degree and career. He still keeps in contact with Jiqu, meeting up with him occasionally. Once he received his bachelors, Kal moved back to Russia and started a residency there. He was allowed to stay with Sawyer, who helped him learn some more complicated life skills pertaining to car insure and employment opprtunities. Eventually, he completed his residency, and Sawyer suggested he move to Karakura.
Current:
As of right now, Kal moved to Karakura and is staying in a small apartment with one of his family members. He's hoping to transfer to the hospital in the nearby future so he can continue his life in Japan and provide for his family.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Kal's specialty is emergency medicine, both in and out of field. Originally, he began his college courses and worked towards a degree in Anatomy and Physiology. After receiving his associates, he began taking on a few internships, shadowing ER doctors and assisting with light work such as IV's, shock paddles, and prepping crash carts. Eventually, he thought to receive a little more experience, working towards EMT certification, which he eventually obtained, though it did slow down his course work. He eventually worked as an EMT for the typical ambulance services, where he spent the next three years responding to traumatic calls and scenarios. However, after he received his Bachelors, he quit to start a residency as an ER doctor, which he eventually completed. From all of his experience, he has particularly dealt with cardiac arrests, seizures, broken and fractured limbs, and car crash related injuries.
What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
Kal took an Emergency Medicine residency.

Kal has worked as both and EMT and as an Emergency Medicine Doctor.

After completing his bachelors and beginning his residency, Kal took a few more semesters of college first for psychology, which he completed after his first year of residency. He wanted to be able to relate to patients and understand their mindset so he could provide more quality care for them. Afterwards, he pursued a minor in business, mostly to learn a sense of management that could go along with his career. It helped him learn how to utilize tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, ****ytics, etc.

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?
Kal is an average sized man, standing at 6'0 with short, slicked back hair and a stocky build to match. His hair is a raven black with blue undertones that reflects in the light, and his eyes are a dark gray that often get mistaken for black. He stands out more for his facial features, which are an odd mix of Korean and Russian. He has a signature pretty face, with softer eyes and a smaller mouth/nose, though his jawline is rugged, and his eyebrows are thicker, leaving him with a more irritated resting expression. Though, it is notable that his expression range, when he feels strong emotion, it is often written on his face.
How does your character act on and off duty?
On duty, Kal is very quiet and to the point, working with his fellow Doctors and sticking to protocol. He keeps most of his interactions to the point and wouldn't be found making conversation other than asking about something within the hospital. Though, with his patients he is a lot kinder, speaking in soft tones and keeping a reassuring nature. He is able to read the mood when he walks in and can adjust himself as such. During scenarios in field, he keeps himself composed and quiet, keeping his communication direct and working along with other doctors to ensure the safety of the people that need assistance. With traumatic situations like this, he tends to be even more so compassionate towards his patients, making sure they know they are in good hands and distracting their mind if necessary to avoid any distress on their part.
Off duty, Kal is quiet towards strangers, keeping his head down and keeping to himself, he's often found participating in things alone. However, if his family is around, he tends to get dragged around Karakura, which tends to change his mood. Around his family and close friends, he's a lot more comedic, with a little bit of chaotic nature to keep things interesting. When it comes to showing how he cares about his family and friends, its normally unspoken things like small surprise gifts, or trips to popular restaurants where he would be paying for the meal.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
He's versatile enough to work both, if the scenario pops up that he is working on his own one on one with a patient, he is completely comfortable. He can keep his head steady, grabbing the essentials and working both adequately and efficiently while also making sure the patient is feeling comfortable and secure. One on one he can be a little more relaxed, though. With a team, he is a lot sterner, making sure he completes his work and checking on others to make sure they are up to par. He tries to keep an eye on everything and make sure everyone is functioning properly as well as himself, and in scenarios of mass injury, he works his best, going into high gear and ****yzing what needs to be completed, then performing it as such.
What plans does your character have for the future?
Kal has moved quite a few times, originally staying in Russia with the majority of his family, though, following in his mother's footsteps, he came to Karakura. Right now, his main goal is to transfer to Karakura's medical team, perfecting his skills and learning from the other doctors within the hospital. His main goal is to make a living from himself, to settle down and get a penthouse to home some of his family who have been struggling on the streets of Karakura. He wants to give them some stability and treat them to things like dinner or gifts from some of the shops. Otherwise, he would like to continue his studies in Psychology, he finds the human mind incredibly fascinating, and he wants to learn more about its inner workings and what effects people's behavior.
How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
Often times, Kal is perceived as very introverted, though easy to be around. His is quiet, but it's a very natural and comfortable silence that people don't seem to mind, and he pipes in just enough in conversations to get his input. People that know him better see him as someone a little chaotic, with a dry sense of humor that can't help but make people laugh after they've thought about the joke for a second. His family and friends see him as a quiet soul that tends to do things under the radar, he isn't particularly affectionate, but he takes care of his own and sticks to his work.
Kal perceives himself as a man of his word, he knows that he works hard and takes care of the people closest to him. He doesn't boast it, but he is rather confident in himself, which he shows by completing his work without falter and putting his family in line when its necessary. He sees himself more compassionate than others perceive him but recognizes that his voice of affection is not something other people immediately recognize. He knows for a fact that he is someone harder to crack, with a lot more than what meets the eye.
