What's your Minecraft Username?: Poseter
What's the title of your suggestion?: Fix LOOC when in chat focus
What's your suggestion?:
When in chat focus in a large area for a group, it's kind of useless. With nicknames, they change the way names are for chat focus since the focus starts BEFORE the nickname.
&8Username [Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
But using that logic with someone with a nickname, it'd look something like these, and they get worse with the further it goes down.
&8&6&l&oUsername [Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
&8&b&m&oUsername [Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
&8&4&l&o&mUsername [Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
&8&kUsername [Grade-12] Example said "Hello." (And if you know what K does, I worry it might effect the entire thing and make it blatantly unreadable.)
Instead, the &8 should go before the nickname AND before the tag. So instead, it'd look like this:
&8Username &8[Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
&6&l&o&8Username &8[Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
Even then, this still looks better than the rest of it:
&8&6&l&oUsername &8[Grade-12] Example said "Hello."
https://imgur.com/a/VwbLdVu -- this is what it looks like in chat.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
It'll help chat focus be useful. Right now, even if it's not used as much, should still be functional despite people's ignorance to the command. While also committing to that, /chatfocusdisable or /focusoff should be a command (I can't remember if there is a command to disable it, but even if there was, it's not common sense and should be said whenever chat focus is enabled.)
I think people might avoid it simply because of what I said before, it's not easy to read the people you're focused with. I also believe that the focus distance right now should be decreased to like 5-10 blocks. If not, then the disable command should be relevant and easy to know that it exists.
I would;n't doubt if this has been suggested before.
