Describe your activity on the server:

As of right now I’m not the most active player, I don’t tend to log on as much as I used to before, as I struggle to find roleplay scenarios. As a result, I end up logging off due to the fact I don’t have much interaction. However, I’m capable of logging on for several more hours, up to five to seven hours on weekdays (after 4:30PM) and around eight to ten hours on weekends (after 12PM).

What is your motivation for applying?:
SRP is a server I was introduced to back in 2023, and I used to thoroughly enjoy being on the server. After I took several breaks from the server, I started to lose a lot of interaction from players on the server, thus making me a lot more inactive. I’d like to return to SRP and become more active, as well as starting with something new like KPD. This could allow me to explore a new set of roleplay opportunities and grant myself new interactions from a different perspective.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?:
I have slight knowledge on Police work on SRP as I used to interact with police both in character and out of character. KPD consists of two divisions, the main division and the detective division. The main division consists of officers that actively deal with situations in person, such as patrolling, responding to emergency calls, dealing with situations, and detaining/arresting individuals. The main division is made up of cadets, patrol officers, corporals, sergeants, lieutenants, and the captain.. The detective division contains less confrontational work, instead focusing on both investigation and interrogation. This division includes detective constables, detective sergeants, detective inspectors, detective chief inspectors, and the detective superintendent. Outside of these two divisions is the commissioner, who oversees the entire faction. This structure is the foundation for the police department. Another important feature about the faction is the equipment provided to them.

Offensive Tools:
1. Baton - A muggable, close ranged (2 blocks) weapon that deals 2 hitpoints. It can be used by all officers.
2. Pepper Spray- A nonmuggable, close ranged (2 blocks) weapon that can temporarily blind a target for a minute, up to three times. It requires an action and a successful roll to be drawn but only an action to be used if another individual is in range. This item can be nullified if the target is wearing a gas mask. This tool can be used by all officers.
3. Stun Blaster - A nonmuggable, ranged weapon (8 blocks) that stuns targets for a minute. This weapon requires an action and successful roll to be drawn but only requires an action to be used if another individual is in range. This weapon can be used by all officers.
4. Tranquilizer - A nonmuggable, long ranged weapon (30 blocks) that stuns targets for two minutes. This weapon requires an action and successful roll to be drawn and reloaded (two shots at a time) if another individual is in range. This weapon can be used by police sergeants and detective inspectors.
5. Crowbar - A muggable weapon used to pry open both doors and containers. This weapon can be used by police corporals.
6. Handcuffs - A nonmuggable close range tool (1 block) used to restrain individuals. This tool requires an action to be used (and a successful roll if the target chooses to resist). This tool can be used by all officers.

Non-Offensive Tools:
1. Radio - A nonmuggable waterproof communication device that can be disabled by a blunt/sharp weapon. This device can be used by all officers.
2. Breathalyzer - A nonmuggable device that is used to check a target’s sobriety. This tool’s accuracy depends on its proximity to the police station. It can be used by all officers. (Not sure if this is still in usage after alcohol was removed, but I decided to include it either way.)
3. Gas Mask - A muggable mask used to conceal an officer's identity. It can be used by all officers.

Miscellaneous Tool:
1. Riot Shield - A muggable (if unconscious) closed ranged (1 block) item that can be used both offensively and defensively. In offensive mode (offhand), this item allows officers to use offensive items against a target. In defensive mode (mainhand), this item can nullify attacks from all sources received from the front/sides of the user. Furthermore, it can be used to push an individual out of range. This item requires both an action and a successful roll to be drawn and be shifted from one hand to the other. It also can be used by all officers.

ItemRP Tools:
1. Luminol Spray - A substance container used to identify blood on surfaces and weapons (unless cleaned with hydrogen peroxide/bleach and water). This tool can be used by all officers.
2. Disposable Latex Gloves - A disposable set of gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. This item can be used by all officers.
3. Fingerprint Scanner - A tool used to scan a target’s fingerprints, allowing the user to identify a matching fingerprint sample. This tool can be used by all officers.
4. First-Aid Kit - A small kit used if an ambulance or EMT is not available; when it is used, it will extend a target’s bleedout timer by five minutes. This kit can be used by all officers.
5. Body Camera - A recording/live streaming device attached to the front of an officer’s uniform that is stored and can be accessed from a cloud database. It functions similarly to a CCTV and can view anything from the user’s perspective. The camera can be destroyed by a weapon (2 hits from a blunt weapon, 1 hit from a sharp weapon). This camera can be used by all officers.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?:
Police enforce the laws implemented in Karakura, ensuring that they are upheld by citizens. They serve and protect the town, handling conflicts and arresting malefactors. Police add a realistic balance to the town, creating an interactive consequence for disruptive/illegal behavior, as well as functioning as guardians for the rest of Karakura. They keep the town under control and maintain a livable and safe environment for citizens.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?:
Yes, I will attend and participate in training if I’m available.

Jin tends to enjoy socialization, and would end up trying to converse with his co-workers. He would try to greet everyone and get to know them, building a bond with all of them individually. Jin wouldn’t mind working with others; he would cooperate well, adapting to situations to be able to benefit others. Despite not being against teamwork, he would prefer and excel in a solo situation, being able to make the most of his abilities.

What's your character's backstory?:
Yūichi Jin was born in the small but populated prefecture of Kangawa, Japan. He was born to a widowed mother, who died shortly after, due to complications, orphaning him from birth. Unable to find any other relatives, Jin lived in an orphanage for the early stages of his childhood. However, his living conditions did not suppress him, and he was able to develop natural social skills and an optimistic perspective to his life. Jin’s qualities shone brightly, and he was regarded as a genius. His most famous trait, which carried on throughout his life, was his knack for prediction. His exceptional inference skills allowed him to make accurate conjectures, often granting him praise from others. At the age of five he was taken in by Sotaro Mogami, a fifty-nine year old retired police officer, who would serve as his father figure and mentor for the rest of his childhood, adolescence, and his early years as an adult. The two of them bonded instantly, chatting for hours at a time and snacking on fried rice crackers each day after Jin came home from school. Mogami spent the majority of that time telling Jin about his time as an officer, inspiring Jin to want to become a police officer himself. Upon hearing this, Mogami decided to coach Jin and educate him on abilities he would need. Jin was able to learn well under pressure and assess and adapt to situations easily. Jin practiced these skills while maintaining his academics. After Jin finished junior highschool, Mogami was able to get Jin enrolled in a private highschool due to his connections. Jin easily took advantage of this and scored well on his assignments and grades, becoming one of the best students in the school in a brief amount of time. His intellect and effort allowed him to stay at the top of his classes until he graduated at the age of eighteen. Following graduation, Jin went to college, studying law and criminal justice for several years. Unfortunately during this period, Mogami passed away, devastating Jin and isolating him once again. However, Jin kept his optimistic view, knowing that Mogami would be against Jin dwelling on his death and would want Jin to continue on with his academics and future. With newfound willpower, he dedicated himself to becoming a police officer and carrying on his legacy and honor his life. He assiduously studied, graduating from college with almost perfect marks, before enrolling into a police academy shortly after.. His perseverance and resolve granted him admission into the police academy, and he used money Mogami had left him to cover the tuition. He worked hard, applying all of his effort to live on Mogami’s legacy. Jin was twenty-five when he graduated from the police academy. He decided to move to gain a fresh start in a new area. He searched for places to relocate, ultimately deciding on the town of Karakura. As he first arrived at Karakura, his intuition told him that he had picked the right place. He took a few months to settle down, using the remainder of the money left from Mogami to buy a small apartment. Meanwhile, he took a few part-time jobs to save up money. By the time he was twenty-six he decided that he was ready to fulfill his dream. He applied for the police department, ready to make Mogami proud.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription:
Five medical items that do not require a prescription include cough syrup, wooden canes, multivitamins, reading glasses, and paracetamol.

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?:
Jin would try to break up the situation immediately, prohibiting any further abuse, before checking on the inmate, seeing if they were injured. He would also try to figure out what was the cause to the situation and talk to his co-workers, trying to understand the reasoning behind their actions. Later on, Jin would report the situation to a higher-up, allowing them to take necessary action.

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?:
Jin would notify others through radio to call for backup, as well as inform them that he would be engaging in the situation. He would promptly attempt to rescue/assist the individual, and if he was unable to do so, he would stall for time until backup could arrive. After the situation is over, he would check in on his co-worker, and asking if they were injured or harmed in any sort of way.

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?:
Jin would gather evidence efficiently until he has enough to condemn the individual. He would then attempt to talk to the individual to find out the reasoning behind their actions and attempt to help them correct themselves and give them an opportunity to turn themselves in. If they were to not turn themselves in after falsely promising to do so or if he is unable to communicate with them and help them realize their faults, he would go to a higher-up and inform them, as well as providing them with evidence on what had happened.

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?:
Jin would reject the offer, taking pride in his work as an officer. He would simply give the money back to them, mentioning that bribing an officer would simply further their charges, and if they were to continue doing it, he would add it onto their charges.
