Special greetings, Hope this short piece of hearsay finds you well! Rosalie Martin reporting.

Here’s the divulge on Karakura’s growing homeless problem

Introduction

As you amble through the city, you’ll often come by makeshift huts and rain covers. Homes lacking a roof, many unable to maintain heat in the winter months. Roaming the city's many alleyways, small fires can also be found alongside wooden shelters as people's only way of keeping warm.

Families of all different numbers sleeping in the various alleyways with no place to call their own. Many of Karakura’s average citizens pass by these places without concern shielded from the struggles these people face.

The housing problem within Karakura is a true issue, seeming as though the members in society who’s very job is to protect and serve the people are instead leaving the lower class to do their dirty work.

While it may be some people’s dream to experience the life of a hobo living on the streets, for many this is not the case.

What’s the cause of this issue?

Many of those who move to Karakura, winding up on the streets not necessarily due to poverty, but rather a lack of homes available to the public. With every home, penthouse and apartment crammed full of as many civilians as humanly possible. An apartment with less than 3 members at least is a rare thing to come by, many of the ordinary students' only option is cramming in small apartments with their close relatives.

Besides, Living with your parents for the rest of your life isn't exactly the luxury people want.

“I’ve been searching for a place for months” - Says an anonymous school attendee

Though just recently new apartment blocks and homes have opened, this small action still leaves many stuck on the streets. All apartments filled almost immediately.

How can we fix this?

There are a few options on how this issue could be addressed, one being to build up on already existing apartment blocks, adding more floors to create space for more, however this still would not be nearly enough.

Another option would be to add in more apartment blocks in open spaces. For example, the beach is a very vast area. I presume at least 2 other blocks could fit on the beach alone, still leaving space for common civilians to enjoy various summertime activities.

And finally, removing houses to create space for more complex. Removing the houses would create an opportunity to build up on complexes! Allowing for much more space.
