Describe your activity on the server:

I'm pretty active on the server, even though I’m currently a full time college student. I have a few characters right now, two of them being in factions, council and sports. Given this, I try my best to roleplay with people as much as I can, as I really enjoy connecting with others and being part of the community.

What is your motivation for applying?:

My motivation for applying to the KPD faction comes from a desire to challenge myself and dive deeper into a role that offers both structure and creativity. I’ve been in KPD before, but my time there was brief, and I wasn’t able to fully explore my potential within the faction. That experience left me feeling like there was unfinished business, and I’m eager to return and prove that I can fully meet the expectations, and be the best that I can be throughout this role.

Being part of the KPD would allow me to engage in more dynamic and impactful roleplay scenarios, while also contributing to the server’s community by providing unique interactions and storylines for others. I admire the sense of teamwork, discipline, and responsibility that comes with the role, and I’m excited by the idea of being part of a faction that plays such a vital part in the server. This time, I’m determined to fully commit, stay active, and make the most out of this opportunity to grow as both a roleplayer and a team member.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

In both SchoolRP and real-life settings, police work involves a combination of procedural actions, character interactions, and handling specific scenarios that reflect the real-world law enforcement experience. In SRP, police officers are to be tasked with patrolling areas, looking out for suspicious activity, and responding to calls or alerts about crimes in progress. They are also to investigate crimes, conduct interviews with witnesses or suspects, gather evidence, and solve cases. Police roleplay often includes following law enforcement procedures like taking reports, arresting suspects, issuing citations, and testifying in court. Officers are typically expected to communicate effectively, often using radios or other means to relay information and ask for backup when necessary. Tactical situations, such as negotiating with criminals, participating in raids, or dealing with public disturbances, also make up significant portions of police work in SRP.

In real life, police work encompasses law enforcement, crime prevention, investigation, and community engagement. Officers are responsible for patrolling neighborhoods, preventing and responding to incidents ranging from minor disturbances to more serious crimes like theft, assault, or violence. They often work alongside detectives to investigate crimes, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and piece together the information needed to solve cases. Officers are expected to enforce laws by making arrests, issuing tickets, and ensuring compliance with city, state, or federal regulations. Real-life police work also involves specialized units, such as SWAT, which handles high-risk situations like hostage rescues and armed confrontations, or K9 units that assist with detecting drugs and locating suspects. Traffic units handle violations and accidents, while community policing focuses on addressing social issues and building trust between law enforcement and the community.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?

Police are an essential part of SchoolRP because they help maintain safety, order, and structure within the roleplay setting. Their presence provides a sense of security and ensures that the virtual environment mirrors the importance of law enforcement in real-life communities. Police officers in SchoolRP are responsible for enforcing the rules of the game, managing conflicts, and addressing any illegal or harmful actions that disrupt the roleplay experience.

One key role of police in SchoolRP is to ensure that all players adhere to the regulations and follow appropriate behavior throughout roleplay, in order to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. For example, if a player engages in unlawful behavior, such as theft, assault, or other disruptive actions, police officers are there to investigate, arrest, and enforce consequences, much like in real life. This allows the storylines and character development to progress with added layers of conflict and resolution, making the roleplay more dynamic and immersive.

Additionally, police provide structure to events, such as helping with situations that escalate out of control, managing violent encounters, or responding to emergencies. They can also engage with other factions, such as EMS or the government, creating opportunities for collaboration and more complex and interesting narratives. In some instances, officers may work alongside other school staff, like teachers or higher ups, to keep the educational environment free from threats, whether they come from external factors or internal disputes.

By incorporating police into SchoolRP, the environment becomes more realistic and rich with potential for character interaction, conflict, and problem-solving. Their role in the overall environment ensures that the roleplay remains fair, safe, and engaging for all participants.

What's your character's backstory?

Airi Rei was born on November 8th, 1999, and grew up in the fast-paced, complex city of Karakura, where the sounds of the city never seemed to stop, even at night. From a young age, Airi felt the weight of expectations placed upon her, not just from the outside world but from within her own family. Her parents, Ryohei and Keiko Rei, were both hardworking individuals who instilled in Airi a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and independence.

Her father, Ryohei, was a quiet, reliable man who worked as a salaryman in Karakura. Though he wasn’t as outwardly ambitious or vocal as his wife, Keiko, Ryohei was the steady backbone of the family. His calm demeanor and dedication to providing for his family gave Airi a strong sense of stability and responsibility from a young age. While he rarely expressed his emotions, Ryohei was always there when Airi needed him, offering quiet guidance and unspoken support.

Her mother, Keiko, was a well-respected lawyer in Karakura, known for her sharp intellect and dedication to her clients. Keiko’s influence had a profound impact on Airi, and as a child, Airi admired her mother’s strength and determination, often spending hours observing her as she worked from home. Though Keiko never overtly pushed her daughter into following in her footsteps, Airi felt a natural pull toward the law and justice, fueled by the desire to earn her mother’s respect. Despite their different professional paths, Airi’s relationship with her parents was always one of mutual respect. Her parents supported her, but there was an unspoken expectation that she would achieve greatness.

During her childhood, Airi was always the determined, goal-oriented child. She was quiet but focused, excelling academically and often taking leadership roles in school projects and activities. Her passion for justice began to develop as she learned more about her city’s struggles with crime, and as a teenager, Airi’s fascination with law enforcement grew. She often found herself attending community meetings, speaking with local officers, and reading about legal cases to understand how the justice system worked.

After high school, Airi decided to pursue her dreams head-on and enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in law enforcement at Karakura University. Her time at university was formative, not only for the academic knowledge she gained but for the relationships she built. Airi quickly became known for her sharp mind and dedication, and her professors respected her for her leadership potential. Despite her solid academic standing, Airi still felt the weight of following in her mother’s footsteps. But instead of feeling burdened by this expectation, it fueled her drive to stand out and make her own mark in the field.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree, Airi was determined to get real-world experience, so she applied for a competitive police internship program in Karakura. The internship allowed her to work alongside seasoned officers, offering her an invaluable perspective on the practical side of law enforcement. The challenges she faced during this time were significant, handling tense situations, making quick decisions in high-stress environments, and witnessing the complexities of justice firsthand. But the experience only strengthened her resolve and confirmed that she was on the right path.

The internship was a turning point in Airi’s life, giving her the opportunity to shadow officers, participate in investigations, and gain insight into the broader criminal justice system. During this time, she developed strong bonds with her fellow interns, many of whom admired her for her leadership qualities and unwavering determination. She was often the one to take charge in situations that required a quick and clear decision, which earned her the respect of both her colleagues and mentors.

After a few years of working with the police department, Airi felt it was important to further her education and broaden her understanding of the justice system. She decided to go back to school to earn a degree in criminal justice, aiming to deepen her knowledge of both law enforcement and the legal system. This was a strategic move, as Airi knew it would equip her with a more comprehensive understanding of how the system operated at all levels; from law enforcement to the courts, and even the correctional system. With a degree in criminal justice, Airi would be better equipped to make real change, both within the system and the community she was so passionate about serving.

Throughout this journey, Airi maintained a strong connection with her family. Her father, Ryohei, continued to provide her with the quiet support she needed, while her mother, Keiko, was proud of Airi’s success but often challenged her to push beyond her limits. Airi never took her parents’ support for granted, but she was determined to carve out her own identity, one that was rooted in her own beliefs about justice and fairness.

Today, Airi stands at the threshold of a promising career, armed with a wealth of education, experience, and a fierce dedication to the law. Although she has achieved so much already, her journey is far from over. Airi knows that the path ahead will be filled with challenges, but she’s ready to face them head-on, just as her parents taught her to do.

General knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?

No, you cannot.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription

Glasses, an eyepatch, a wooden cane, paracetamol, and cough syrup.

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?

Upon witnessing the abuse of an inmate by a co-worker, I would immediately face the situation and start recording the incident using my clipping system, as it’s always set to capture events at all times. I would then use my radio to notify the station, alerting them about the situation and requesting backup. Before taking any further action, I’d warn the co-worker that I would separate them from the inmate if they didn’t stop. After the warning, I’d physically intervene, ensuring the abuser is removed from the scene and placed at a distance from the inmate to prevent further harm.

Once I’ve separated the two, I’d detain the abusive co-worker and call for additional officers to help manage the situation. At this point, I would either personally or have another officer radio a higher-up to ensure the incident is properly reported and investigated. I would provide the recorded evidence from my clipping system and document any injuries the co-worker inflicted on the inmate.

I would then inform the co-worker about the severity of their actions, making it clear that I would be reporting the incident to the commissioner or other higher-ups for appropriate punishment. If necessary, I would use non-lethal force to maintain control, such as using a stun blaster or handcuffing the co-worker. After detaining them, I would place the co-worker in a questioning room, ensuring that other officers are present, or if I am not trained for the interrogation, I would ask a detective to handle the questioning. The goal would be to gather more evidence, understand the motive behind the abuse, and offer support to the co-worker.

Finally, I would make sure the detained officer is monitored, either by myself or with the help of other officers, ensuring they do not pose any further threat to others. The focus would be on ensuring the inmate is safe, that the co-worker is held accountable, and that the situation is handled thoroughly and responsibly.

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?

If I see my co-worker being assaulted, the first thing I would do is ensure my own safety and the safety of anyone else around. I would quickly assess the situation to determine if I need to step in directly or if it’s better to call for backup. If the situation is escalating and I can safely intervene, I would attempt to de-escalate the situation by verbally commanding the attacker to stop, ensuring I don’t put myself or others in unnecessary danger.

I would immediately use my radio to alert the station about the assault, providing details about the location and the individuals involved. If I’m able to do so without compromising the safety of my co-worker or myself, I would try to physically separate the assailant from my co-worker. I’d then ensure my co-worker is moved to a secure location away from the assailant, checking for any immediate injuries and offering support.

Once the immediate threat is under control, I would make sure that the situation is documented. If I’m able to safely do so, I would capture evidence, such as taking a Clipping of the incident or writing a report about what happened, including any injuries sustained by my co-worker. I’d ensure that a higher-up or supervisor is notified and the proper procedures for handling assaults and reporting incidents are followed.

I would also make sure that the assailant is detained and taken to a secure area while other officers arrive to help. If necessary, I would request medical assistance for my co-worker if they’re injured, and ensure that the assault is reported to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.

Throughout this process, I would remain calm, focused on protecting my co-worker, and follow the proper protocols to ensure the situation is handled appropriately and that the assailant is held accountable for their actions.

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?

If I discover that a co-worker is corrupt and involved with a criminal organization, my first step would be to gather any evidence I can find to support the claim. I’d make sure to collect this evidence, whether through my medal clipping software or by simply taking screenshots, before immediately reporting the situation to higher-ups, such as the commissioner or captain of the KPD. It’s critical to prevent a criminal organization from using one of our own to gather sensitive information or manipulate our operations.

Once I’ve informed the higher-ups, if I haven’t already gathered sufficient evidence, I would get the help of other co-workers to create a plan to catch the corrupt co-worker in the act. The goal would be to gather enough proof to ensure that the higher-ups believe the situation and understand the severity of it. In this process, Airi would approach the corrupt co-worker calmly and casually, pretending to build a relationship with them in order to gain their trust. If the co-worker slips up and shares sensitive information, I would take advantage of the situation, recording their words and either sharing it with the criminal organization or using it to expose them to the higher-ups later on.

If the co-worker misuses their authority, I would document the action using my medal clipping software and send the footage to the higher-ups while also reporting the incident over the radio. Ae Minori would rely on a strategy of patience, using the “waiting game” to slowly draw the corrupt co-worker into a trap they couldn’t escape. The plan would require careful execution, ensuring that every step is taken with careful precision.

If the co-worker is transferring sensitive information through a computer or mobile device, I would advise the higher-ups to investigate their devices for more evidence. The more information we can gather, the stronger our case will be. Once all the evidence is collected, I would follow up with the necessary people to make sure that they fully understand the situation and take appropriate action, ensuring that the corrupt individual is held accountable for their betrayal and involvement with the criminal organization.

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?

If a criminal attempted to bribe me, I would immediately reject the offer, making it clear that I have no tolerance for corruption or unethical behavior as I am a KPD officer. I would maintain professionalism and remind the criminal that such actions are illegal and that accepting bribes is not only a violation of the law but also a betrayal of my duty as an officer overall.

In addition to refusing the bribe, I would ensure that the criminal’s attempt was documented. I’d gather any evidence, whether it’s recording the conversation or writing a report detailing the attempt. I would then report the incident to my higher-ups immediately, making sure to provide all the information and evidence to ensure proper action is taken if possible. I would emphasize the importance of maintaining integrity in law enforcement and ensuring that any sort of criminal activity, such as bribery, is exposed and handled appropriately. If needed, I would also take steps to distance myself from the criminal, ensuring they understand that I am not someone they can manipulate.
