Describe your activity:

To save time, I'm available almost every day, 24 hours a day. However, below is a slightly more in depth answer
MondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturdaySunday
On Mondays, I typically take time away from things to spend with my partner or friends.
But, I get online if asked and attend openings/events for places that I work or associate with.
On Tuesdays, I'm usually online for a good portion, tailoring and catching up on orders. At the current moment, I have one college class at around 5-7 PM. This is in addition to my other classes, which I have to find time to study throughout the week.Thursday, I'm home almost all day and have nothing.Friday's I often get called out of the house to hang out with friends at around 9 pm-3 am.Relatively free.I go to church sometimes around 9 am. Aside that, I typically don't do too much.
Overall, as said above, I'm free most of the time.
Note: the things inside the timetable don't restrict me from getting online at all, except for my class on Wednesday. And this may be subject to change.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:

I'm applying as a reporter because I feel that I've run dry in SRP. While yes, I do a lot, such as working at shops or crime-related businesses. I always fall flat when I think of what to do. While I could apply for other things, those things won't allow me to play on my main character, and that's because I love participating in crime businesses. However, this would allow me to continue building up my character. Which is the most important thing to me aside from my overall entertainment, which is often intertwined. Becoming a reporter would allow me to diversify my roleplay while also enabling me to continue in the businesses I'm involved with.

I'm certified in things such as Photoshop and video editing software because I was at one point a photographer OOC for my school, and as a hobby, and at this point in life, figuring out what I want to do with it is crucial. While, yes, I'm going to college for criminal justice. . I would still like to find encouragement to pursue other things, maybe influencing me to pick photography up again once more. Now you may scoff and think, "That's not reporting," I agree, but it can be an inspiration! Not to mention when I was in my senior year of high school, i had a teacher who was once a reporter for my city. He took a liking to me and always encouraged me to pick it up, but I have yet to, now obviously I'm not gonna attribute SRP reporting to IRL reporting, but it would still be nice!

I'd like to be given the chance to prove myself and do something more in SRP aside from what I already do. I want to work hard and progress my character to become a more mature person. I want to write articles that people will read. I want to make things so unique and interesting that I might even get a message from someone who read it with positive or even negative affirmations. I want to laugh and feel satisfied that I've made a compelling character, a compelling story.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:

I can't say anything awesome like "yeah, I have a few published books," or anything. However -

Though relatively young and only in college, I'd like to say I've lived a life full of experiences. As previously mentioned, my high school teacher was a reporter who had published books and articles. He would constantly praise me and say things like, "You should become a writer." "You should be an actor." "Try out reporting!" Now, was he impressed with my writing skills? I'd hope so, but he might've just found me entertaining, to say the least.
I've always been regarded as creative by friends, family, and mentors. Since elementary I've always found myself playing some part in a writing project. Like the really, really embarrassingly awful comic me and others made in the 4th grade. . I've written songs for friends' bands, scripts for plays, and I've even had consistently high scores on state-provided writing tests and the SAT. Yet, I wouldn't say I'm Shakespeare.
I've only got academics to back me up in writing, nothing solid like being part of the Lore team, or Reporting. . . yet.
Every day I'm impressed by the creative efforts of players in SRP. People like Ilovemyplanex2 consistently shock me with their ability to make clear images appear in my mind with their actions. And its every day that I feel inadequate in comparison, which is my fault for engaging in the toxic past time of comparing myself. I take part in Fight Club often. I know a big groan escaped someone while reading that. While I could say I'm used to detailed writing, I also want to admit my admiration. I sit there, ****ysing people's actions. I sit outside, reading the lore others have written and made. And every time I'm inspired by it and the effort put into it by others.
With how much love and adoration i hold towards writing, and reading. . I often find myself sitting in my room typing long stories, making DND characters, and engrossing myself in my computer for hours just to type out something that will not only leave a reader in awe. . . but compel them. Compel them to write. Convince them!

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:

Fo'shizzle! I've read all the rules before applying and re-read them before submitting this as well.

Why should we accept you over others?:

I consistently hate this question every time because I fall into the same habit of praising others' abilities and feeling guilty for trying to justify myself as a "better applicant." However, this time I desperately want to be here. My selling point is that I'm committed to this, my application, and my future work here. I feel that this is an achievable stepping stone that I can use to propel myself into even better writing. I will work myself to the bone to produce for the faction, attending gatherings and events, interacting with other members. I want nothing more than to be a part of this.

I have played SRP for a myriad of years, not quite knowing the exact length myself. And, I've roleplayed even longer outside of it. As shown previously, when asked for my applications, almost all of what I've applied for has been denied. Despite this, I haven't lost motivation. I haven't stopped persisting to make something of myself on this server. If given the chance, I would apply this ethic to this faction. I would persist, not only in making something of myself. But, making something of myself within the faction as well. I cannot say I'm the best. I cannot say I'm the worst. I can say that without any doubt in my mind, I can be an asset.

Previously, before changing to a degree in criminal justice, I was in significant literature classes. I wouldn't consider myself a literature student, but I have experience with college composition, writing, and odds and ends. Critiquing my writing ability isn't just something I'm used to; it's something that has become a habit. I always triple-check my work and spend hours rewriting things if it doesn't fit properly into what I'm attempting to convey.

I'm all for team Reporter!

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)

Of course! Often, times media can be biased towards things, so I believe that as a potential reporter, it's important to give the full truth and keep personal items to myself.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:

I'm confident. Currently, I haven't had anything to properly apply myself to aside from school, so with this, if I were to be accepted. . I know that I'd be actually happy to exceed the standard quota as I genuinely enjoy writing and producing!

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:

Finding an answer to a question. As a reporter, it would be my job to compile information about various topics and then thread it into something the public can read about. What's the highest-grossing shop in Karakura? Well, you can read it here. What was the result of the protests by the Archidioses at the town hall? Well, you can read it here. Interview, ****yse, release. Like a hunter for information! As a reporter, my main goal is to inform the public of current events, or even sometimes relevant past topics.

Full Name:

Gwayne Aiuchi

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)

"Be as formal or informal as you'd like. . . But Mr. Aiuchi does sound cozy."
He concluded humorously, a kind smile resting on his face. . .

Current Age (25+):

"A fresh 26 and counting. Though It gets confused a lot."
His hand swept through his hair in a brief moment, returning to its resting place as he played with the earring adjacent to his only eye.

Past job/work experience:

[!] Dink. . [!]
The earring fell from his fingers, hanging regularly. The smile that was previously held by him quickly lifted, his eye sparkling. It was clear he loved this question, more so than others.

"Currently, I work at Seikatsu as a bartender and at Tsuki no umi as a waiter. For the most part, that is. I've worked at both for quite a while. I don't wanna brag, but I've held first place in sales at Seikatsu for some time. I mean not to say that there isn't competition, but I'm a consistent worker! Haven't really had the opportunity to prove myself at Tsuki no Umi, though. I mean, I've worked shifts, but not enough. There's never. . . never. enough work for me."

He paused for a moment. Taking a deep breath as he visually prepared. His next words came out surprisingly easily despite his own doubts.
"But, I'm also a model for two businesses. Thrift shop and Hoshino, where I double as an Idol part-time. Oh oh! And I'm a killer designer. . kinda. But I'll hopefully be able to slap reporter in bold letters on my resume soon!"

Degree/qualifications:

Shifting around a bit to get more comfortable in his seat, he reached out to adjust nonexistent glasses.
"Well, not to brag, but I've got a bachelor's in Economics. Real big money maker here. But I've been considering obtaining a higher degree at some point. I'm also a certified bartender, but I'm assuming this is relevant topics only, so I'll hold off on listing the others."

Nationality and born location:

"Oh, I'm from Finland actually! If I remember right, I'm one of 3 or 4 others in the town from there? Anyways, Dad is Finnish-born and raised, but Mom is, I think, Korean? It's been a bit since I caught up with the family. . ."
A cloud cast over his face as he trailed off, shaking his head before returning to the present. Something was left behind.

"Right. . . sorry, I'm a citizen here in Japan."

Phone Number:
030-812-3394

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:

"If I had to describe myself. . . I'm someone who will push through regardless. If there's a wall in front of me, I may not be smart enough to go around it, but I'll get through it somehow. Never been the kinda guy to buy into norms, but at the same time not a guy who likes standing out all the time. I'd say I'm a scale that balances itself out, I could be a good or bad guy in reality, but it's neutralized by the opposite. . . ugh, I'm not making any sense, sorry. I'm someone who refuses to acknowledge I'm a good person despite what others claim. Low self-esteem or whatever, but really, I just see myself as someone who does whatever is asked and whatever is needed. Kinda like a soldier, I guess?"

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:

"Honestly, I don't have a comfort zone, like I said, I just work to work. I'll cover the most dangerous topics or the most pampered, anything that others don't want to. If someone's worried that something they cover might cost their reputation or whatever, I'll do it no problem."
He tapped the armrest, a rhythm forming as he gathered his thoughts.

"
As for what I'm interested in, though. That's a whole other story. I could say anything, and that would be the truth. So instead, I'll say what I'm the most passionate about. What the public thinks about things. The good and the bad. Criminal investigations, cases, and conspiracies. I absolutely LOVE conspiracies, and I might even include that later if a subject permits. More importantly, I'd achieve it by first conducting research by asking around, both influential figures and the general population, what conspiracies they might have. Not just about the world but specifically the town. The paranormal. The government. Criminal organizations. I want all the details, and I want to create something so thorough that it impresses my low self-esteem."
Continuing to think, he paused. The taps ending as a result.

"Actually, I guess you could say I'm more interested in the secrets of the town. Publishing stories that shock and inform above all else. And also understanding the public's viewpoints on things. I think I'm just repeating myself but humans have such diverse opinions and ideologies, so studying the moralities of the town and posting an article about it would be amazing!"

What are your expectations for the job?:

"Excitement, boredom, all that good stuff. But really, I expect to learn along with my work. Covering things that I already know is boring, I'll do it. . But I'd much rather expand my knowledge of the town and its people while employed here. I guess everyone says that. I'm just sick of repeating the same day to day without gaining anything, so this here is a chance to give my life some interest."

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:

He smiled brightly once more, giving a thumbs-up from his resting position.

"I was arrested for assault way back when. A couple of years ago or something? But I'm totally clean aside from that minor issue!"

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):

"I speak Japanese, obviously. JSL like the majority. But I also speak Finnish, and I'm working on learning Korean eventually."

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.
1754188317615.png
#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

"For this I chose to ask questions relating to fashion, as a part-time model, I felt that it would be interesting!"
Reaching into his pocket he produced his phone, navigating it and pressing on the dirtied screen to open the Video file. Sliding it across the table. Before allowing it to play he perked up and waved his hands through the air.
"Oh right! For this I interviewed Kotaro Hamasaki inside of Hoshino Productions office building. Yknow. . . for style points."

[!] As the play button was pressed, you could see him positioning the camera. Alone in the room. . . He wore a regular black long-sleeved shirt, the sleeves rolled up. Proceeded in slightly ripped blue jeans. His long red hair was briefly blown out of his face to showcase it. He offered an excited thumbs up to the camera before it cut to him standing in front of Kotaro, who was sitting on the meeting room table with Dakota. [!]

G: How would you describe the current fashion sense in Karakura?
K: I guess- experimental? There are really no trends? But more just a buncha funny outfits that somehow work for the individual but wouldn't fit the masses.

G: Are there any specific influences or cultural trends that have shaped Karakura's fashion?
K: Street-wear I'd say. . .
K: I've seen many grunge MFs around too.
The audio was censored at MFs
K: Lately lotta pretty scene girls too.

G: How does Karakura's crime culture impact the overall fashion trends?
K: Oh boy- HAHA edgy... Lots of straps- belts.. Anything to look like a book-tok mafia boss.

G: How have things like movies, shows, and social media influenced the towns style?
K: I guess, lotta tailors here get inspired by those- so ya see often from many different fits with the same vibe from said movies-shows- blah blah like 10 superman shirts for example by 10 different tailors with their own lil style to it? So guess you can say predictable?

G: Do people in Karakura prefer fashion, practicality, or a mixture? And why do you think that is?
K: Fashion... because everyone and their mom wants to look hot while doing the impossible.

G: Do you see a significant difference in fashion between various groups in Karakura? KPD, EMS, Criminals, etc.
K: Lowkey- Only criminals..? They kinda dress all the same vibe...
K: but KPD and EMS- They're diverse i guess.

G: What would you say the typical fashion sense of each group is?
K: EMS kinda chill vibes, KPD moree- I don't know they all over the place but they really just your average joe without the uniform- Criminals? erm... Emo edgy boy-band.

G: During festivals or events related, do you see people wear outfits from their home countries and cultures?
K: Nope
K: Only ever Japanese.

G: Why do you think that is?
K: I guess people prefer getting more into the Japanese culture? Rather than showing up in some leather shorts from Germany.

G: How do shops and their items reflect the fashion trends in Karakura?
K: Beats me, more so there are certain vibes of shops and people go to what they feel like fits their style.

G: Who would you say the fashion icon of Karakura is? This can be someone wearing clothes or the designer.
K: ...
K: Jessica Vaduva.

[!] The video ended. [!]

"I would've loved to get more opinions but I thought that might somehow ruin my application here so I settled for him-"
A bead of sweat flowed off his forehead, being caught by the black eyepatch over his left socket. His chest rose and fell, letting out a sigh to relieve some stress as it began to take him over. He stood up from his chair, pushing it in briefly before offering a polite and kind smile. His head fell into a deep bow. . .

"I hope I can be of further service as a reporter one day. Thank you!"
