I first bought my custom around 2022-2023, when I heard you had to dm staff and do the whole /taxpay command I was a bit shocked at the inconvenience it was both for players and staff. I quit the server around late 2023 to early 2024, due to my inactivity my custom got removed from the pack as stated in the rules. I dmed staff member 6pancake about it and they added it back to the pack. Now, 2 years later I got my custom back into the pack but I’m facing another huge issue. After dming staff in order to get a copy of my custom in game, I’ve been left on delivered for over two weeks now. I contacted other friends of mine with customs to see if they also faces the same issues, which they did. This situation of mine is talking about custom weapons in particular as it is my experience. Now I am in no way insulting or trying to degrade staff as I know it can get underwhelming that’s why I came up with solution that might be possible if it’s something that could be done coding wise. The idea is making a command (ex. /custom) that would make a display pop up similar to the auction house with each user’s customs. Then there would be a set price which you’d pay upon clicking and the item would appear in your inventory as it did in the old auction house.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
I think this could help the server making the process way easier for players while taking some weight off of staff allowing them to focus on other things. I don’t know if this is something that could actually be done, just an idea I came up with to solve a big problem players are facing (atleast with the crime related customs).

+1/-1 I love the idea to make it easier to get costumes but It would make more sense if we buy it off BMD (if it’s crime related)

+1 to this IF whenever the player pays / clicks on the custom, the custom item to sent to a BMD inventory / GUI and then when they open and you request to pick up the (crime related) custom, they request that that custom gets dropped in a crate and then they pick it up and give it to you.

I agree with the two replies. Sounds reasonable to involve bmd with it if that’s something staff would like to get behind. Only problem would be timezones, say a bmd from a really different timezone gets it, do I have to stay up until 6 am to get it?

Well at the moment you have to wait 5-14 days to get your custom, do you prefer waiting 5 days than 48 hours?

As it stands, there are only two methods in which you can request for copies of your items (depending on the type of item).

For items, you can submit a request on the forums - https://schoolrp.net/forums/copy-requests/ - and it will be reviewed by any of our Administrators. Note that you cannot request copies of Vehicles.

On the flipside, for weapons, you have to get in contact with the BMD lead and a screenshot of your taxpay. Afterwards, you will have to call a Black Market Dealer to receive it ICly, as all weapons have to be collected through the BMD. You should bump your message as messages can be accidentally missed from time to time.

What should I do in order to actually get it? I pinged them in dms after the first dm and I’ve heard I’m not the only one to have this problem. Is there any other way to contact or something? Getting copies can get a bit frustrating sometimes. Thank you.

Unfortunately, we can't predict when people will be busy and oftentimes DMs can be skipped if you're messaged in the middle of something. Best way to get in contact is to just bump the message every 7 days unless the staff member has a specified period of time which you can bump messages after in their bio

Thanks for the info, I’ll do that asap. Either way I still believe the process could be optimized, have to see what staff thinks about it though.

+1; replies aside, there IS the forums requests and all but i still advocate for this ^_^ anything to help staff with workload really
im not too bothered with the BMD customs (though i know thats a big part of this suggestion, but it does just add convienience for the average player as well and remove the tediousness of going through the forum requests, at least in that regard)

I think we should still let staff handle vehicles/Weapons/Masks, but for stuff like phones and stuff. I don't see why we can't make a similar plugin like the BMD command but for TBX codes and stuff, since its already linked to our account!

we can buy custom weapons through the normal BMD plugin but it kept breaking I remember fred doing maths in my dms about overpaying for a custom katana thats why it went back to a staff thingy instead of strictly BMD, don't get me wrong i would love to see it go back to bmd with a fixed plugin!
