What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have some experience with roleplaying from when I was younger, where I used to enjoy creating stories and acting out characters with friends. Though it was more normal at the time, those experiences introduced me to the fun and creativity of making my own personas. Over the past 2 years of playing on SRP, I've found myself exploring the game even further with a friend which has now left sadly, however I joined the shrine team which was a very enjoyable and eventful experience. I learnt a lot about the culture, about the game and now I wish to learn more about the medical faction of this server.
Joining this server as a psychiatrist is something that really excites me because it offers a chance to bring both creativity and interpersonal skills into play. I’m eager to expand my roleplaying abilities by contributing to an engaging and dynamic community where I can not only develop my character but also help enrich the experience for others. I look forward to the opportunity to challenge myself in this role and grow as a roleplayer. And as I said before, learn more about what the faction has to offer.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying comes from my real life dream of becoming a psychologist. Mental health is something I've always been interested in and cared about, and I think this role could be a really interesting way to learn about how different things might work, even though we’re roleplaying. I believe by taking on this role I would be faced with challenges and obstacles I have to overcome. Along with that I believe that this will result in a very impactful way to get myself ready for the future in real life. Plus, it’s an awesome opportunity to combine my love for Minecraft and roleplaying with something I’m truly passionate about in real life. I think it would be a great learning experience and a lot of fun too!

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
My current knowledge of the roles within the Hospital Faction is somewhat basic. I understand that there are various roles such as doctors, psychiatrists, senior doctors, and senior psychiatrists, each contributing to the smooth functioning of the hospital. While I may not know all the details about the faction’s structure yet, I am eager to learn more about the responsibilities and dynamics of each role. I am particularly interested in how the roles work together to create an effective and engaging experience for players, and I look forward to understanding and contributing to that as I become more involved.

Hansel Desmond's backstory
Hansel was born within a german loud family, a family of dozens of people. There would always be some sort of ruckus going on inside of their house, Hansel would go to a Shrine to put his soul and spirit to rest, to feel free and at peace. Whenever he got the chance he'd even go over to rest at the hot springs, he'd actually do it quite often along with his friend and sister. His favorite sister would practically be his younger sister. A priest taught them most of the things that needed to be known for the shrine.
Not long after knowing how to pray and do offerings he got kicked out of his Christian family for worshiping something that they didn't believe in. They disclosed him from his own family and mistreated him, he had no other place to stay. His younger sister however came along with Hansel and they both went to the shrine, Hansel would look at the trees and the beautiful Torii up front, before entering the shrine he would wash his hands inside of the Temizuya before entering. He'd tell the priest his whole story and how their parents kicked him out for showing more personal interest into shintoism, the priest nodded and insisted that hansel and his younger sister could stay at the shrine as long as they'd like, Hansel and his younger sister accepted the offer with all the respect he could possibly give as he deeply bowed, shedding a tear for the priests hospitality.
After a while he and his younger sister would learn the basics of Shintoism and so on continue learning how to do specific things, he grew up within the religion itself. He never felt so accepted and loved by anyone before, working alongside the priest was an honor to them. He felt that this job was fitted for him and would pledge his loyalty to the shrine and the priest telling them that they'd never leave their side. He would proceed to visit newcomers and visitors alongside his sister as the priest could rest, while they would hold daily conversations with people from the shrine, however he'd pay attention to the guests whenever they came bowing.
These actions rapidly grew into a habit, he would begin seeing it as his hobby. He really enjoyed communication with other people and assisting those whoever is in need while spreading shintoism across the whole city, he wanted to let everyone know that he existed and that shintoism existed alongside him and that you can change your religion no matter what it is, no matter what other people think about you. Whatever you like you should go for even if it regards your parents. It's your choice and yours to take alone.
Hansel always took notice of how people feel spiritually and mentally. However Hansel fell into a deep depression himself after his dog called 'Lala Loopsey' died because of liver cancer. His dog was what made him happy, the shrine cheered him up and after a while he got over it, however bringing up the topic could make him emotionally unstable. In addition; he did have his younger sister to always be there for him in times in need.
He built a strong feeling of love and affection towards everyone after a while because he was intrigued with the people that worked and came to the shrine as they were always really polite and respectful, bowing, welcoming etc. As Hansel is a strong empath and he personally doesn't wanna hurt anyone's feelings just like his parents had hurt his feelings, he doesn't want tears to be shed. This is why he does not wanna hurt anyone's feelings and why he doesn't wanna harm anyone and disrespect them in any way! He would fall in love with whoever came inside of the shrine abiding the rules and not doing this he'd not like as in stirring things up. Hansel would've always protected the values of the Shrine at all costs even when doubted by others. His passion is real and still living on t'ill this day onward!

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
My character’s medical specialty is child and adolescent psychiatry. They chose this focus because they have a strong passion for helping young people navigate the challenges of mental health during some of the most formative years of their lives. They believe that early intervention and support can make a profound difference in a person’s future, and they are deeply motivated to create a safe, understanding, and empathetic environment for children and teens to express themselves and work through their struggles. This specialty allows them to combine their knowledge of mental health with their desire to make a lasting impact on younger generations.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
My character does not have any past experience with any kind of medical position. However they are very eager to learn and join the team.
Their dedication to their specialty, child and adolescent psychiatry fuels their determination to make a difference, and they are willing to put in the time and effort needed to grow. They also value teamwork and are excited to collaborate with others, learn from experienced professionals, and develop practical skills that will allow them to provide the best possible care.
Although they may not have prior experience, they bring a strong work ethic, an open mind, and an eagerness to contribute to the hospital’s mission in any way they can.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
My character has a relaxed and approachable appearance. They have a light complexion with sandy blond hair that’s slightly tousled, giving them a laid-back and youthful vibe. Their outfit consists of soft pastel tones, including a white shirt and sage green pants, which reflect a calm and soothing personality.
What makes them unique is their gentle demeanor, which is mirrored in their understated yet thoughtful style. They don’t aim to stand out in flashy ways but rather exude a quiet confidence and warmth that draws others in. People might perceive them as friendly, compassionate, and easy to talk to someone who prioritizes making others feel comfortable and understood.
Their appearance reflects their personality: calm, empathetic, and attentive to the needs of those around them, making them a natural fit for their role in psychiatry.
How does your character act around the hospital?
Hansel would act really caring and kind around the hospital. he would notice how people feel, paying attention to their emotions just like how he would at the shrine. He would try to help people who are upset or struggling by being there for them, offering comfort without saying too much. if someone is sad or in pain, Hansel would try to make them feel better by being gentle and understanding, but he wouldn’t push them too hard. He knows how important it is to be respectful and not invade someone’s space, so he would always follow the rules and act calm.
just like at the shrine, Hansel would make sure to be polite to everyone, and he would try to make sure no one feels alone. if someone needed someone to talk to, he’d listen. If someone needed some peace, he’d offer that too. He wouldn’t want to cause any trouble or make anyone upset. Hansel would focus on spreading kindness and peace, doing whatever he could to help people feel safe and cared for in the hospital.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Hansel works better with others. He’s really in tune with how people feel and loves helping people, especially when they’re feeling down. He enjoys being around others and talking to them, just like he did at the shrine. It’s not just about helping, though; he feels connected and happy when he’s with people who are respectful and kind. That’s what makes him feel like he belongs.
even though Hansel can be independent when needed, he’s always looking out for his sister and the people around him. He doesn’t like being alone for too long because it makes him feel distant. Being around others lets him spread peace and kindness, and it helps him stay grounded. Hansel prefers working with people, supporting them, and sharing his calm energy with them.
